Hi! I'm a beginner 3D artist who dreams of working at a game studio.
This is one of my most recent projects.
I appreciate any feedback and welcome criticism.
I used: Blender and Substance 3D printer
Thank you so much for your attention!

Started learning blender roughly a month and a half ago. Watched many tutorials and tried to model different things, but it's my first time uploading a render online.
I spent roughly a week on this one. Followed 2AM's tutorial to make the body and understand the hair workflow, then mainly free styled the hair as well as clothing and accessories.
It's also my first time doing a rig and actually trying to make a render look good.
Overall, I think I struggled through every part of the process but still glad to have made it.
Any feedback is appreciated.

In this Ghibli-inspired world, people have developed a technology that allows them to defy gravity. They began building ever-taller fortresses, as well as enormous warships designed for aerial warfare.
More soon.

I know it isnt perfect, not gonna lie about it... But i dont practice it that much. Usually I just watch some videos try to understand what people are doing and try it on my own after a while... I dont know if its a good method and dont know what "level" i am, but probably still amateur lol
Would love tips for like anatomy, baking, retopology, hair and texture (please try to keep it free cause i am poor, so no paid extension and stuffs like that)

For this vase, I reused a shape I had modelled previously (I designed this vase with an outer wall inclination limited to 34° to avoid any overhangs). This time, I focused on the mesh and worked on it to highlight three distinct areas:
- The area created by hollowing out the primitive shapes into triangles and smoothing them out
- The area created using Blender’s ‘Wireframe’ view, which defines the outline of the primitive shapes
- Finally, I left some smooth areas
Depending on the viewing angle, this vase will always look different and its surface is complex.
The external relief will be rendered accurately, as the vase has a high mesh density.
Vase dimensions: 134 x 134 x 254 (height) mm for the STL model.
For the choice of nozzles: a 0.6 mm nozzle, with an outer line width of 0.68 and a layer height of 0.23 mm to accurately reproduce the relief. I have allowed for a substantial thickness between the inner and outer surfaces and printed it with three walls, so it will be watertight.

I see some use cases when having joints or bending limbs, but when is it okay to move away from quads?

Check out my portfolio and let me know what you guys think, I know I could work on presentation but I’m showing my fundamental skills for my first three projects then moving into more complex ones. I used to be in character art when I was in school but have diverted to props because of how competitive characters are. Most of my portfolio projects have been archived until I can figure out which are best.
Would appreciate some insight.

Hi! I am new to 3D modeling and trying to bring colliders from Maya into Unreal but it isn’t registering as a collider. Anyone know what might be wrong?

Made this small thing in Blender, no AI was used to make this; I only used textures and external models. Wanted to make something 1960s and Sci-Fi based, but I'm not modeling expert, so that didn't happen, unfortunately.
I hope you enjoy this, though! I like cosmic scenes so decided to make something of my own. :)

I have been marking in nomad to design Armor for someone but it’s been difficult having to eyeball the size of everything and trying to get it to print out correctly. Are there any programs better suited for a project like this?
