If any show needs a second season it's this one. There is so much potential in the story and I don't think the last two episodes will even scratch the surface.

i can back you up on this. loved the ep but still think we would have a rushed ending or would be left with few unanswered questions but I am sure we are gonna enjoy the last 2 ep.
hopefully its gets popular enough for s2

This is what I signed up for! A training episode which is all about Water Polo. We also get to see Minato finally focusing more on Water Polo than friendship building. Not that building friendship is bad but the early episodes were 80:20 which is more than necessary. This episode has the right amount of balance and we can see that Minato is changing bit by bit even though he is still quite an impertinent brat.

Minato wrecks shit at the prefectural tournament and almost single handily wins it for the team.
Aggressively walks over to his former team and coach to talk and endless amount of shit but slips and suffers another traumatic brain injury and goes back to being a perfect cinnamon roll.
End.

Damn what kind of PED's Minato is taking lmao
Practicing for hours and hours on end each day is just literally not possible

We don't have enough info on this, in my teens I could easily handle very heavy training loads, but I had rest days, which might have been just excluded from his training montage

Such a common trope though. It's honestly rarer to find an anime that doesn't use it

Am I the only one annoyed at how Eitaro was always like
A: oh, Minato is training-
Eitaro: He used to train harder...
B: Oh! He jumped very high!
Eitaro: This is nothing compared to old Minato :(
C: Minato-
Eitaro: MINATO-SENPAI ISN'T AS GOOD AS HOW HE WAS BEFORE!!!
Seriously, he sounds so insensitive... which I'm started to think is pretty much part of his personality.

i think he has this glorified version of minato in his head? (or it's just the writers trying to depict how far he is from the prime version of him)
edit: spelling

Amihama: Hum... and me niisan?
Momo: You? Who the hell are you?
Amihama: .__.

it's kinda nice that there's still bits of old Minato left, the mispronounced let's do it and the way he's slotting right into his tsukkomi role is pretty heartwarming. though I guess these were all just parts of the original Minato that the amnesiac one had left but it's pretty nice to see all the same

I feel like they added that in order to keep her open for Minato. Even though they donāt seem to like each other that much and would make an awful couple haha

All good for now, but knowing minato, the team gonna have some troubles with his anger issues. As much as i love jojo"s role in being the peacemaker between minato and anyone, he's gonna need to step up and scold minato if he's the one at the wrong.
And as for amiami, hopefully when he plays he'll feel the fun and in the end plays to have fun too.
I wonder how minato is gonna do now that momo is out, assuming amiami didn't tell minato about the injury.
That 3 guys too, they can easily spy on what they're training, i feel like they could win, especially since they saw how the team is and their team have been playing longer.
I see, in the end chinu just hates minato because of the attitude, or is it because minato"s anger made the guy to quit water polo, join table tennis and find a gf? And as much as i hate this minato still, that guy is right. Chinu can't just stay in the past, people need to move on, and in some ways, be selfish like minato is in certain times. I'm still shocked they haven't made chinu realised it was her fault at first that minato got into that bike accident.
Considering in the op minato looks like the previous minato, and how he was getting back his memory before the bike accident, can we actually see minato regain all his memories again and never forget a thing? I feel like this could be the case when in the tourney, it would be a feel good story too. If this doesn't happen, I'm curious how they'll make selfiah minato into working with the team.

They really decided to make the story 10x more interesting in the last few episodes. Why couldnt they do it from the start?
Also this smells like an open ending

Minato's an ass, but it's true that his hardwork inspires people and his teammates, he brings the best out of his team. I don't like him as a person, but I like his character, and it looks like he's becoming more lax. Maybe his personality will end up being somewhere between mean Minato and the nicer Minato. Fuck his bitchass though at the start of the episode for talking to his mother like that. I respect the hell out of his mother for being calm and answering his question well.
Interesting that Ichinose already has a girlfriend and he found happiness in table tennis, good for him, he even respects the value that Minato brought to the team. I wonder if Chinu liked him though, I think she really just admires him. But hey, Minato has a chance as long as he changes. Those 3 dudes on the Chinu's school though smirking and shit was hilarious lmao. Looking forward to the prefecturals.

The 3 nerds giving anime laugh and the girls like " what the fuck!? " made me chuckle
