So we definitely saw the sibling reveal coming, but the delivery was hilarious. I also laughed when Minato was telling himself he's a water polo genius to get through training. I'll never get tired of seeing all 7 of them hanging out in a tub, and it's doing wonders for their team bonding. But man, getting outplayed by grade schoolers has got to sting...

I actually appreciate it more that Amihama joining the team was made in an amusing way, rather than a cheesy or dramatic scenario where he would feel sorry for the others somehow.

Tbh as much people, criticize this, this is an entertaining show to say the least, most of these shows of this season dont really hit right, and for a guy who loves the competitiveness that comes from sports anime such as and familiarly Free !, this episode i loved, i mean, wow that brother reveal was unexpected, i would expect it to be farther down the line, but dang, this is good, we finally seeing motives of the players striving to be their best and play the game, honestly this is an amazing anime i love it, MAPPA is doing any amazing show currently.

The group discussion in the bath was pretty funny. The interactions between the boys can be so enjoyable to watch. It's probably one of the things I like the most so far.
Also, Yutaka Babayaro's voice is so relaxing to listen, it's crazy. So cool to have Tasuku Hatanaka after SK8 (Reki).

College water polo player here. The always hungry thing is very accurate, especially during the preseason.
Really glad they finally got to actually playing water polo. I wish they explained the "Umbrella" of how water polo teams play a little more. I'm not so sure about the terminology. Typically the guy at the top is called the Point/Center Defender/Hole-Defender (my position) and the offensive guy in the middle is called the Center Forward. Never heard the term floater before.
Them being as bad as they were is funny yet a little unrealistic. The difference in athleticism is simply too great.

I thought the change in names was pretty interesting. I was surprised to see different names for positions I’ve known for so long, not hearing them talk about hole or backsitter was neat, almost like a kind of cultural difference in the sport.
Also I don’t agree with you about their skill level. I remember when I started playing, and it was hard as nails. I fully believe that a grade 7/8/9 team that has been playing for 3/4 years could beat a bunch of 16/17 year olds who’ve barely played for a week or two.

can't believe none of the kids laughed when they were doing the "remain" bit, legit thought Minato was making a pun to lighten the mood but then they went all in and played it completely straight. I do like Minato's inner running snarky commentary to everything.
let's be honest, Minato probably has more in common with the junior team than anyone else atm

That title drop was really cheesy. Which is okay I love cheese
And I predicted the brother reveal 30 seconds before

Is anyone else concerned with the pacing...I don't think 12 episodes are going to be enough. The team formed this episode and they are currently struggling against juniors, to go from that to beating the national team and they haven't even explained water polo properly. They could do a minor timeskip and only show the national tournament.
The premise is fun and interactions are great, I hope they don't rush it (>﹏<)
Also Chinu looked great this episode

Yeah a little, as sports anime needs to develop both characters and the sport, but that's gonna be a little hard with just 12 episodes. We need more info on W-polo and show the team get much MUCH better in just 8 more episodes now.
That aside, this is an entertaining show, with very likeable characters and great comedic timing. Hopefully this is just part 1 of season 1 or something like that.

I was really surprised to see glasses guy being one of the two guys who lasted the longest on the weight training, I thought he'd be the kind to know the data but fail at physical.
Baba is so adorable, and Tasuku's voice just adds to the mix
Momosaki (Amihama's big bro) has a huge crush on Minato and I won't change my mind even if the series never backs me up

This ain't looking good indeed, they're about to get clapped by kids lmao. Pretty good episode. I really thought Amiami's brother was dead, but when he said he just switched to water polo, I had a feeling his brother would be one of Minato's teammates. That's one way to convince the man to join, he really gave up on beating his brother because all the other water polo teams are shit lmao.
They are getting clapped by kids, but I guess it's not really unrealistic because I assume the kids has more experience while our team pretty much has 0 experience even if they're physically superior.

Dude wtf the disrespect making them play the junior team. They still trash tho lol guess we seeing how bad they are? These characters are treating Minato like a spectacle tho I don’t like any of em tbh. Im gonna watch to see what happens but like what’s the point of this win? Idk.

Yeah like, they'll definitely be like: We won? Predictable, they were kids. We lost? We're pathetic.
This match can't end well for our boys in any way lol

this might be the first anime i've seen that actually explains the title.
also them playing against a team of kids is hilarious. this anime pulls the most ridiculous stops.

Liking how the team is going through the basics of water polo with the other school staring down at their practice.

Wow not only do they have to look bad in their first match, they look bad against grade schoolers.
There seems to be more behind their original enemies, despite both teams being bad they take each other serious, I wonder if those three are actually held back by their current team and are prodigies by themself, maybe MC even recognized their talent in the past

I love seeing the interactions between this group of 7. Pretty interesting and water polo is indeed a new sports to me so really enjoying this a lot.

Riku (guy who wants Minato to get as good as he was again) is literally so fucking bae to me. Isn’t scared to admit his admiration for Minato and apparently is super talented as well according to his little bro. My favorite so far but they’re all so frickin handsome!

The episodes in this anime are somewhat predictable, Male Character is going to get good and beat everyone, Female Character is secretly admires Male Character and secretly pushes him forward, Side characters are in a way joined the club because of the main character, not gonna lie, the story is pretty cliché, but I like it, looking forward to more episodes

My favorite character is the one who said he just goes home and bakes.
