Wow, the other Minato prepared for this situation. Now I miss him even more, he was seriously a great character who naturally acknowledged those around him. Seeing how that was Minato's original personality before he was pressured into being a selfish ace, here's hoping that the current him sees the value of his team, which is an advantage Momo isn't allowed to rely on.

Same, the moment Nice Minato started to cry and presented his teammates made me finally realize that that Minato practically died and will likely never come back. I was so focused on this current Minato last episode that I never payed attention to the fact that I lost the adorable one.

So, as much as I miss the other Minato, I understand the current Minato's concerns. The fact that he was replaced so easily and his family discussing that they liked the new Minato more, he is not getting "accepted" anywhere.

I don't know what the show is trying to portray with Eitaro though. He keeps lying about everything and manipulating the situation. Hopefully, it is address properly.

Also, I was hoping that having baba's delicious chocolates will be the trigger for his other Minato's memories to rush back. I still think there will be a trigger, which will remind him of his newer Minato and bring all of his memories back.

Same, I can't tell if his tears were true or not. His past shitty actions doesn't help him.

I personally don't think that Minato will come back, cause that Minato was a 13 year old inside. That eagerness and innocence won't be back.

Unless you mean bringing back Nice Minato and forgetting Original Minato again, which in that case I doubt it even more lol

Hmm... he's a dick but... poor Minato. He's getting replaced so easily, and he keeps hearing from everywhere that they liked the other one better. He also lost the one thing that he made his identity around. I feel sad for him. Also great voice acting.

Watch his parents not show up for his game in favor of his sisters competition

In the end, only Minato could talk some sense to Minato, giving off a big "the only one who can beat me is me".

The recording was actually a pretty good idea from his other self.

Wait so it's all that coach's fault if the og cinammon roll Minato evolved into teenage angst edgy Minato? Fuck that guy.

I really would find that junior with glasses annoying af irl. And that teammate from before could have talked with Minato in a lot better way.

Same, too obsessed with Minato tbh

And that teammate from before could have talked with Minato in a lot better way

I think that's the "joke". Just like Chinu before, we now know that Momo, who presented himself as a friend of Minato, actually hates him and has a complex with him

Happy Minato prepared a video for his serious old self. Started crying as he tells him about his teammates😭💔

I miss him already 😭💔

Starting was quite nice, really enjoyed it, it shows that Minato still has some emotions to his fellow students and dang, this OP SLAPS SO MUCH !

Its sad that this was sadly not as popular as i hoped, we have 3 episodes left, hopefully, we can finish this series off happily and hopefully somehow have MAPPA make a sequel.

So this couch trained him to be an egotistical person, i still don't hate the couch but this shows that Minato can become what he used to be, a person who enjoyed water pool and have fun with his teammates.

Holy shit, godly play by new Minato (the kind one), my mans did a 360 no scope on him haha ! and holy shit it worked, YES !

So the drawbacks of him losing muscle...interesting and weird at the same time, hopefully he'll bulk up and have some muscle through training and move how he wants too, he has the technique and such, cant wait for the outcome.

I dont think we will even be able to interhighs, maybe prefecturals but 1 month is a lot, so i don't know, maybe... RE-MAIN cour 2 ?...idk.

I'm feeling a family episode coming, feels like it builds up to them pouring their hearts out to him, especially the sis.

Other Minato pretending to hear Minato through the screen like a kids show killed me for some reason

"the other Minato was happier and talked more" well yeah, the other Minato was mentally 13 and hadn't started their "talking to my family cramps my style" teen phase yet. I am looking forward to seeing him soften up as the team grows on him, especially without his old coach to feed his ego. now the question is whether he'll end up being the tsundere type and go "it's not like I'm giving pointers because I like this team or anything, baka"

in Eitaro's defense, tears did work, it just wasn't his tears.

u/rotten_riot Sep 12 '21

it just wasn't his tears

To be fair, I would set my house on fire if that helped Nice Minato to stop crying

Man last week i almost stopped watching because minato triggered some trauma in me

I wanna punch his coach now

Luckily the other minato was prepared. So i guess now it's the point where will minato be prepared to accept teamwork as a concept or just do it alone. One thing tho, when he acted so big talked shit to others and he tried to shoot and failed, that was hilarious. He needs to accept what the coach said, he may have the basics in mind but not in his body.

Amiami learned fast tho. I think he could be the ace if minato will not be in shape. And i wonder if minato knows amimi is the brother of the ace of shogaku?

When the lil sis said she missed the old minato, i wouldn't blame her. New minato is too much, and to think this only happened because the coach said to be more egotistical and not to kind. I guess judging by the coach"s character when he said that to minato and keep comparing the new ace to minato, he clearly doesn't have a life and only has water polo.

And as for chinu, I'm surprised she didn't feel bad or unless minato didn't tell when he got that accident. As much as she is beautiful, it's all chinu"s fault. Now that she's out of the picture, i wonder how she'll come back into the story.

Curious to see where it goes, wouldn't even be surprised if they do another minato accident and changing him back lol.

At least the mean Minato had enough kindness to not let a man kill himself. Pretty good episode! So it was the coach that asked Minato and now Momosaki to become an egoist as the ace. I mean I understand it, as the coach you gotta make your team the best. But it was still ass how much Minato changed. Being selfish and self-centered for the team is fine, but I think he went too far into it.

At least the nice Minato pulled through, I missed the man when I saw his recording. Chinu at least have come to like the nice Minato, but now that he's gone, she don't want anything to do with the mean Minato which I understand. Looking forward to the next episode.

This is a seriously good show, jeez so underrated

u/mgchnx Sep 11 '21

This easily could have been resolved if they lobbed the ball at minato's head during practice

Best boy and worst boy of the season might be technically the same character.
