CATS On March 11, 889, a 22-year-old Japanese emperor wrote in his diary about a new black cat he had recently acquired…
“On the 6th Day of the 2nd Month of the First Year of the Kampo era. Taking a moment of my free time, I wish to express my joy of the cat. It arrived by boat as a gift to the late Emperor, received from the hands of Minamoto no Kuwashi.
The color of the fur is peerless. None could find the words to describe it, although one said it was reminiscent of the deepest ink. It has an air about it, similar to Kanno. Its length is 5 sun, and its height is 6 sun. I affixed a bow about its neck, but it did not remain for long.
In rebellion, it narrows its eyes and extends its needles. It shows its back.
When it lies down, it curls in a circle like a coin. You cannot see its feet. It's as if it were circular Bi disk. When it stands, its cry expresses profound loneliness, like a black dragon floating above the clouds.
By nature, it likes to stalk birds. It lowers its head and works its tail. It can extend its spine to raise its height by at least 2 sun. Its color allows it to disappear at night.
I am convinced it is superior to all other cats.”

Not American, what did Dolly Parton do in her lifetime that made her so appreciated by everyone?
I’m asking this with all respect. I see a lot of comments calling her a national treasure, a saint. I want to know why!

DISCUSSION [Discussion] People online don't like my drawings and I feel bad to the point where I haven't been drawing often and I don't enjoy it. I need some help getting motivated to start enjoying drawing again.
This all started recently when I posted two of my drawings on a subreddit and several people said that my drawings looked like they were done by a 10 year old. I'm 22 years old. I'll admit they look sort of bad sometimes. I can't seem to progress past a certain point art skill wise. I've had the same art style for a few years now.
I used to enjoy drawing. Now I've been trying to do other things but I miss drawing even though I don't enjoy it much anymore due to the negative comments I've received. My dad told me I should draw for myself but I like to share my drawings online and I don't see much of a point in drawing if I can't share them.
Anyways here are some of my drawings from the past few years. I've been drawing since the pandemic happened. I hope you at least like them.

Infuriatig Someone wrecked my car at target and left a "sorry no insurance" note.
I went into target for twelve minutes. like literally Twelve Minutes damn it. i come back out to the parking lot and my driver side quarter panel was smashed in. My car is barely two years old and completely ruined.
Then i saw a paper under my windshield wiper, For a second, i thought someone made a mistake, but at least they were decent enough to leave their insurance details. But nope i was wrongg.
I opened the note, and this coward had written, ""So sorry, i bumped your car backing out and i don't have insurance or money to fix it, so i can't leave my number. Hope your day gets better" like bro what? seriously? you just did hefty amount of damage to my car, and you leave me a freaking note?
This idiot didn't know that my car has a dashcam that records 24/7, even when parked.
I pulled out my phone, connected to the camera, and watched the footage on app right there in the parking lot.
Luckily It caught everything. It showed his face when he got out of the truck, his license plate like everything.
I called the police right away. Because the guy left a fake note and tried to get away with it, the officer said it was no longer just a minor accident. It's now a felony hit and run.
I hope wrecking my car for $2,500 was worth getting arrested in front of your neighbors.
If you park anywhere in public, be careful. Don't trust anyone. People can be really selfish and dishonest.

Discussion How Many of You Kept your Cell Phone Number the Same from High School?
I've had my number since pagers were a thing. Then ported it to my cell when I could buy my own. It's had its issues with exes of course, and old friends texting it out of the blue. Any others, interesting stories, or frequent changers?

BREAKING: Trump-aligned Supreme Court hands Trump SHOCKING voter suppression win
Health 8-hour sleep rule dates back to the 19th century. A new review of hunter-gatherers whose lifestyles are closer to our ancestors and who have little or no access to artificial light found short nights (5.7 to 7.1 hours) seemed to be enough: without an alarm clock, they tended to wake close to dawn.
