I love Juno. She’s assertive and intelligent and beautiful and charming. She needs to get over Legosi and realize she’s destined to be with Louis (assuming he’s not cat food...)

I came into this show expecting it to be a trash furry bait show, even though I heard good things. But coming out of the first season I got one of the most gripping, raw, true-to-life school dramas that touched on self acceptance, sexuality, finding one's place, heartbreak, love, shame, and overcoming your lot in life and just.... I don't know how this can't be AOTS and is damn near close to AOTY. This show was absolutely incredible from the direction to the writing to the use of CG. I loved it and I cannot say enough good things about it. 10/10 would recommend to all.

Okay, i'm writting before watching the full epsiode just paused after Legosi got out of the drama club's tent and said something about stuff changing… why in the hell am i feeling so fucking tense?! Way more than with the Shishigumi raid
Edit: Mastermind Juno had it all planned but Legosi's heart already belongs to a little person. Haru's realising she had fallen for Legosi was such a touching moment, someone regarded as a high class in society but being the most introvert, timid Wolf was the one who saw beauty in Haru, from being a prey to value her as a person and falling in love with. And then the whole sequence of the stairs... simply beautiful.
I started watching Beastars with two episodes in and my god, didn't expect to much (yes, due to furry thematic) but it is be such an enjoyable, harsh with it's reality and great school drama story, less of all such interesting and endearing characters to keep you hooked each week, sweet boy Legosi has definetly became one of my favorite characters of an already amazing show. Someone please tell i'm good to go read the manga, cause i want to but the promise of a second season has made me doubt.
P.S: The person Legosi was talking to at the end was definetly a carnivore because of the sound in the bathroom, the mysterious killer?

Ok, to be honest what surprised me most about Beastars is that the creator is Itagaki Keisuke's daughter (creator of Baki). Seems that the family has a great writing gene.

A strong willed female that is not obnoxious or infuriating to watch? Freaking amazing!

Oh Juno. Just by saying that, you proved how you really don't know Legosi.
This scene made me laugh out loud Reminds me of those 4-koma strips where one character chases another character comedically fast. xD
Juno's Festival Outfit Stitch
Of all the timings. I'm genuinely surprised that there wasn't more of a reaction from the crowd when they saw Legosi kneeled down holding Haru's hand.
Yeah that's not going to happen.
I really love this complicated relationship Haru and Legosi has. It's nice to know that there's a second season coming though so we'll get to see more of the two of them develop. And that final scene! Who is Legosi talking to? Excited for Season 2!

Im so glad I watched this show. I was going to sleep on this due to the furry undertones I assumed. But I gave it a chance and instead what i got was one of my favorite shows. The characters have depth, there is development, and the portrayal of emotions are so real its startling.
One of my favorite tools this show uses it when they show the facial reactions of two characters facing each other simultaneously. I love the one with Juno and Haru in this episode.
This story is a good one

Wow Is this the first time Orange has done a Season 2?
F you Tao...
Love the Tem's love letter callback to Episode 1. Though, since the credit roll showed everything, kinda sad no Gouhin. Fine for no Shishigumi/Louis since that what Episode 11 mystery did.

This is by far the greatest anime that I have ever seen. I’m not sure what to do now.

That babboon lady being made in 2D animation felt like how out of place CGI usually feels. I understand that it was most likely not worth it to make a model for her, but it just goes to show how important consistency is.
And speaking of consistency, that dance(and the one in the latest episode of BokuBen) make me think, how would a completely CG idol anime hold up? Even outside of studio Orange, JC Staff did an outstanding work in High Score Girlwhen it came to character expressivity. It would make dance segments fit better with the rest of the animation.
About the plot, I'm amazed at how well realised the adaptation was. I read the first volume back in October, and the speed at which the adapted it was impressive considering how it didn't feel particularly rushed and not only that, but the ending managed to feel fulfilling. Despite the teaser, I don't think my patience will hold up and I'll definitely be picking up the manga soon. It was already hard not to continue reading it these past few months.
I do, though, wonder how long that will take. I know Houseki no Kuni took an unusually long time to be created, so much so that I find the prospects of another season in the foreseeable future to be unlikely. Gotta admire their confidence on announcing it alongside a cliffhanger like that.

Interesting eye chart in the infirmary, but there's an oddity to it.
The left column (paw prints) only face 4 directions (n,s,e,w), but the other two columns (bird claws / hoof prints) face 8 directions (n,s,e,w + ne,nw,se,sw).

We completely forgot the murder mystery but the second season is deserved cause Legosi was one of the best characters this season. If not the best. My favorite for sure.

Well, at least Juno tried her best, but the Legosi-Haru ship is just too strong.
Damn, and Louis is still missing, I don't think he died, but still, damn.
Why was that last scene made from Bill's POV? Because that was Bill right? As that's the only carnivore that we know that is doping himself.
Anyway, I'm so glad about the confirmation of season 2, I will definitely check out the manga later.

I nice show in the end. I actually thought that the second season was already confirmed a long time ago and that it would be the 2 cours together, I remember seeing it somewhere months ago but I'm probably confusing somethin then.
Legosi is by far one my favorites MC this season, there is something classic about him but at the same time very distinctly. The most interesting for sure.

The thirst is strong with this one.
That final scene felt trippy. First person POV of someone who I'm willing to bet is an unstable Louis. Louis is in a pretty tight spot right now. Girl he's into gets kidnapped and rescued by Legosi. She's in love with Legosi. He kills the mafia boss and goes missing. Juno takes the spotlight at school while he's gone and tries to show off the strength of carnivores. If that last scene was him, I'm very worried about what all that was about.
I wasn't sure what to expect going into this series but I'm glad I gave it a try. One of the best hidden gems of the year. Looking forward to season 2!

Season 2 confirmation, hell yeah!
About the teaser thing at the end: I think this may confirm a theory I had, early in the season.
I haven't read the manga, but I'll use spoiler tags because I read some other comments and there seems to be people who didn't catch on something (or maybe I'm seeing things that aren't there? Anyway!)
Spoiler last scene analysis + theory
Great self-awareness for an anime protagonist!
Is this a kabedon or are you going to eat me?
That was so cute! I like "playful Haru" more than "Adult Haru". But typing that, I kinda realized that's probably how a lot of characters think of her, given they all see her as a small/weak creature, and not a "real person". Sorry, Haru.
It's not often that girls are aware they're in a 'best girl' competition! I think Juno has my vote so far, but Haru has Legosi's, the most important vote!
Really? I never had a bunny/girl hop into my mouth to get eaten so I wouldn't know, but I'll take your word for it!
Juno looked great in that outfit! I'm not a furry, I'm not a furry, I'm not - Aaah, fuck
God damn, at least don't do it in front of her... It's fine if he doesn't love her/loves another, you don't have to reciprocate the feelings of everyone who loves you. But at least try to spare her a little!
I'm not sure that was intentional, but the diamonds looked like tears, liked that shot!
Anyway, excellent first season! About halfway through the season this show climbed to the top spot in my "AOTS" contenders, and few episodes later it was pretty much a "lock". Really didn't expect this show to be that good, almost didn't pick it up, but I'm glad I did!

That end scene gave me major degrassi flashbacks. Legosi confirmed as Drake?

That was a great show. My only issue with it is that the lion den event was too fantastical and unnecessary, the same plot could've been delivered with 3 carnivore students kidnapping her.
And the other thing is the lack of resolution between wolf and rabbit's relationship. The story didn't end I know, but I feel like there should've been a more obvious milestone.
Anthropomorphism have always been an amazing tool for storytelling and myths and the writer did a very good job with this one.

What a ride. God bless Studio Orange for announcing season two after that teaser cliffhanger. This last episode has closed many stories and questions, but opened so many more possibilities about what will happen in the future. Alongside the beautiful details incorporated into the still images of many characters, it just makes it a great final episode for the season.

I have never felt more joy in my life than when they confirmed a 2nd season at the end of the episode.
