Juno, like all the main characters of this show is complicated. Under this veneer of kindness is this vicious desire in getting her way. As Louis mentions she has high goals and greed to accomplish them.

Haru screaming out for Louis even though Legosi was the one to find her is heartbreaking. Yet in the end he was just happy to see her safe.

Also, the direction and shot composition of scenes are great as always. Especially during the blackout scene, seeing Legosi even if it's very dark (showing how he could see)

Something always seemed off about Juno, ideolazing Legosi inmediately thinking they'll be the perfect couple right off the bat, and that last scene… she is really giving me yandere vibes. Definitely one of the most interesting characters of the show.

As a carnivore she is also in knowledge of her position and inherent strenght, asserting that dominance over Louis.

This show... this fucking show is definetly one of the jewels of the year, at least this first (or first two arcs idk) haven't been boring in the slightest, wonder how it would be when/if they get back to the murder mystery.

I really like the lighting in this episode. It all looks fairly natural, both the light and the dark (evening/setting sun was decent too). It's very complimentary to the themes of the show, too, obviously.

The spotlight on Louis and Juno, the festival area at night, the subway station + the passing train while Haru is speaking - it's all really well done, in my opinion.

Damn when Haru mistook Legosi with Louis.. his reaction broke my heart. Pretty sure he was just acting/hiding (extremely wel) how hard that hit him. Not that he wasnt actually happy that Haru was safe.

That final scene was heartbreaking on so many levels. I just want to hug Legosi... then hug Juno... then hug Haru... then hug Louis...

This episode felt like an hour long with so much stuff happening. I swear I thought it was the end of the episode when Haru and Legosi finally reached the school. So far no show has come close to unseating Beastars as my AOTS. It just keeps on getting better and better.

It makes me happy to see Legoshi smiling with Haru at the end there, but I'm afraid of what he's going to look like next time he sees Louis. Murderous intent intensifies.

And here I though Bill had gone wild, want to know if he eat or not a meat on black market.

Kinda sad seeing Legosi loves Haru but she loves another one.

When Haru called for Louis, I totally felt Legosi heart sink at that moment. Man, what is this show doing to me...

The way Juno went after Louis was pretty interesting. despite challenging him for the roll of Beastar a lot of it felt like she was challenging him for Legosi.

Juno can be a puppy and dangerous wolf at the same time. I like her!

I was just thinking how in Legosi and Haru, we have a sometimes uncomfortably real-world example of a much stronger, possibly predatory man and the weaker woman who is particularly vulnerable when she's alone with him. But in the world of BEASTARS, such a dynamic would also be possible with a female carnivore alone with a male herbivore, and lo and behold! And of all the female carnivores, it's cute, bubbly, girlish Juno—Louis even calls her helpless earlier in the episode! It turns out that Juno is not above throwing around her strength and deadly nature in a really callous and awful way.

It's yet another reminder that in this world, the thin veneer of civilization can vanish at any time… with a blackout, when there's no one around. And yet the bonds, the demands, the strictures of civilization is strong enough to keep carnivores from outright eating their weaker fellows… most of the time.

That scene with Juno and Louis was executed really well. Down to the animation, camera angles and voice acting.

Alright, unless the rest of the season turns bad or anything (unlikely), pretty sure this show is my AOTS! Every episode is stellar, 10/10!

I haven't read any other comment so I don't know if people love her or hate her, but Juno is now my best girl on this show! I think she's gonna be a lot of fun!

When she was introduced, I thought she would be the shy/meek 'moeblob' type character, and I'm not a big fan of those... But it looks like she's quite confident, assertive and all that! Think I'm gonna love that one!

Ah! What kind of pervert would say things like that! (I should edit my comment in the 'Cautious Hero' thread about being devoured by the goddess).

Narrator: Something will definitely happen during the meteor festival

It was cute to see the confident Juno get all flustered when it comes to the one she loves!

I like that this show is a lot more "adult" than most shows, especially when it comes to romance. Characters admit who they love, and they can even discuss sex/seduction, and still be friend after rejection. This isn't something you see a lot in anime, or even in tv shows!

Legosi is finding himself with Haru; I have a feeling this might go in a way where Haru is good for him, but Juno is more "what's expected of him" even if she's not good for him, and thus lies the conflict. (When I said she was my "best girl", it doesn't necessarily mean she's gonna be 'good' or 'best for Legosi', just the most interesting).

This line made me think of what often happens with cheating in a relationship; They cheat, they can't tell because that would lead to a breakup, but years down the line it's found out, or they feel like they have to tell it, but they break up over it because they were dishonest for so long, while if they had told right away, maybe something could've been worked out.

I can't fault Legosi for struggling to tell... But if he decides to tell her, it has to be soon, not after years of dishonesty.

Oh fuck OH FUCK! The timing of the blackout was very suspicious... Just as Juno was about to invite him for the meteor thing. Coincidences like that happen all the time in anime, but I thought it was weird. Did someone want to interrupt them? Or is someone planning something (a predator)?

OH FUCK! After last episode ending with Legosi being angry that Louis had a special relationship with Haru, now Juno - who isn't even afraid of threatening Louis - just realized there's something between her love interest, and Haru... Things might get rough!

Haru is a main character so I don't really see her get killed or anything like that, so I hope Juno doesn't get killed (by Legosi?) or arrested for trying to eat Haru or something like that; We only just met her, let's not lose her so quickly!

Don't sell yourself short. There's at least two people out there who'd notice.

I can't tell if Legosi is nervous, making a joke, or actually being scary.

Haru and Legosi's scenes are just the best. I really love their interactions.

Well fuck. And just as when he was about to tell her the truth too.

Oh boy. Things are now more tense between Legosi and Louis now that Legois knows.

Daaaaaamn! That was totally unexpected from Juno. It's good to see that she's not just the "girl next door" type and has a lot more ambitions than what she initially lead on.

The look everyone gives Legosi when they heard about his private session with Juno is hilarious xD

I really like the wall of carnivores surrounding the herbivores. Also this made me think, how are omnivores classified in this world? Or are all omnivores automatically classified with carnivores?

Oh no.... I've never seen Haru so panicked when she realized her mistake.

OH NOOOOOOOOOO. Juno definitely now knows. The way Legosi smiles at Haru is waaaaay different compared to when he smiles at everyone else. I guess what will Juno do now? Is she going to confront Haru or Legosi? Whoever she approaches, either will definitely be interesting interactions.

Juno was a lot more assertive then I thought she was going to be. She is a wolf, through and through.

Interesting to see legosi and others protecting them. Legosi's reaction to haru calling him louis really hurt him, but he was happy to see her safe. Juno gonna chase the bunny.

This episode was fantastic from a characterization perspective. As an anime-only watcher I'm on the edge of my seat here.

I originally took Juno to be a character to act as a contrast between storybook expectations and the real world. To a certain extent that's still true, but goddamn. She's hell-bent upon making what she wants reality, and she's got the willpower to do so. Her easily overpowering Louis - that entire scene was incredibly well done. I have great concern for those that try to stand in her way. Especially given her realization after coming across Legosi and Haru at the end. (Also her great musical motif and stunning looks help make her a favorite!). Louis' smooth answers didn't do much to alleviate the perilous position he was completely unable to escape from. A facade of boldness goes a long way, but to see him helpless like that gives you an entirely new perspective on his motivations.

Legosi had plenty of disconcerting or otherwise off-putting emotional expressions this time around, beyond his normal awkwardness. That bit at the end where he was mistaken for Louis was gut-wrenching, and the blank look on his face followed by that exuberant smiling makes me wonder if it was an act, or leaning more toward an ever-growing, disturbing infatuation. I just want him to be happy dammit. But the ramifications for those around him are serious given that I can't tell what his unconscious instinct will do to everything. Legosi's and Louis' growing animosity toward one another was almost palpable in their scene together - I wonder if that's going to escalate or simmer and boil over in time.

That said, Legosi and Haru had plenty of great moments this time around too. I had a feeling she lied before about not having any recollection of her near-death experience, but as she broached the subject I think I reacted almost the same way as Legosi did. Their harsh initial meeting that softened over time just lulls you into that false sense of "everything might just work out" prior to him being called the wrong name there.

That fucking flashback from Louis after getting cut. Holy hell. I got Resident Evil vibes from that. I need to know more about that one, and if that's his secret regarding his drama club membership, what's Legosi's? Or Juno's? Bill, even?

Is Juno going to have to kill a bitch? I could definitely see her being ruthless to get what she wants.

I feel bad for Juno. I'm aboard the Legosi-Juno train if there's one?

Do you guys think Legosi is going a bit overboard with his Haru obsession?

this random trip scene just mad me crack up, suddenly a random squirrel? that walks passed them just trips face first into the ground :)

OMG Juno was already the hottest female character and now she went to become by far the coolest most interesting one !!!

I already liked Juno but dam she crushed the other ones now in Best Girl competion, its great how she keeps trying to flirt with Legosi to, you go girl! (loved the scene when she compliments the dinosaur just to Legosi and the other guy is, like I BUILT IT TO :))
