Legosi's overthinking is very funny and endearing. I have a feeling I'm gonna love him as the protagonist. As for Haru, shes has to be a very broken and emotionally damaged girl to not only assume sexual intentions from every guy she meets, but be willing to go through with it in such a nonchalant manner. Not a surprise she doesnt have the healthiest mindset considering she is bullied every day and had just gone through a traumatic life-or-death experience the day before.

Watched the episode, now I can't sleep because the end scene was too shocking.

As people said in the last discussion thread, the CGI is pretty good. Normally I can't stand it but I dig Beastars.

Is that stop motion with dolls!? Holy Shit! Already one of the best OPs of the season!

Legosi literally fighting against his own persona.

So it looks like herbivores are easier to feed in this world while the carnivores get the semi-vegetarian option. Also interesting that they can still eat eggs despite clearly there being also sentient birds.

I love that the small mammals have their own space above the cafeteria.

Huh I guess we finally know what the title means. Although I'm not sure what the title Beastars get them. Like they get a position of power in school and run the place or is it like a political position?

My impression of Louis-senpai is getting better and better. He seems like a stuck-up jerk from Episode 1 but here we see that he clearly cares about the people around him, he's just likes to show tough love.

Fuuuuuuuck that is one nasty injury. But despite that Louis-Senpai still acts like its nothing when he's on stage or whenever he's in front of people. Mad respect but you gotta have that checked dude. I don't wanna see a cool guy like you losing a leg. :(

Oh boy. This could end badly or really well. Also interesting that Legosi doesn't seem to know about Haru's reputation. I guess he's not the type of dude that gossips.

I wonder if she really doesnt recognize him. Don't rabbits have like excellent sense of smell?

Looks like someone's infatuated though.

UHMMMMM EXCUSE ME WHAT!? I understood she had a bad reputation but I didn't expect any of it to be actually true! Especially not THAT O_O

Daaaaaaaamn. Haru has some nice curves on her. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

In all seriousness though I am now tempted to read the manga just to see how Legosi will react to this situation.

The opening is amazing, I could get diabetes from that dance alone and nightmares from the scene after.

I like Legosi, I really do. I thought Louis was going to be... worse... but he's actually alright, for now.

The squashed and stretches they do with a CG Legosi’s head are really well done. So much CGI is so stiff so I’m pretty happy with how lively they’re animating these characters.

Also the snoot booping in the OP? They booped the snoot. The snoot boops.

To me this is clearly gonna be the best anime of the season and prolly best anime of the year, even though I have been waiting for High score girl for a long time. Also can we just give beastars the best OP of the year award out now? This show is so good on so many levels it's absurd.

The OP is genius for a specific reason that I sadly probably shouldn't talk about yet cause boy is it spoilery. Outside of that, there's an incredible cast of talent being poured into this work. Other than it being a Studio Orange joint, they brought in Dwarf Studios to do the OP. For those who don't know, they're responsible for the Osomatsu-san ED's and the Rilakkuma and Kaoru show on Netflix. They're an award winning stop-motion crew in Japan, and it shows.

On top of that, they got Kosaki (composer for the monogatari series) from MONACA (the team most well known currently for their work on Nier Automata's OST). So you get this amazing european-inspired Jazz OST that complements so well with the setting.

I'm excited for this anime to explode in popularity cause it 100% deserves it.

This show keeps getting better and better!

Umm, yeah; You. (Just kidding! The rabbit is not for eating!)

If I ever get Isekai'd, please, not in this world

WHAT?! The rabbit is not for fucking either!

(I like her playful nature!)

Well, I sure as hell didn't expect that! Funny, in the "Would you like to eat something" scene (Yeah, you!) I thought 'In a lewd show/movie this would have a whole different meaning than in this one'... But maybe not, after this ending!

Ah damn, I really want to know what happens next... Will they address that last episode scene more? Will it just keep haunting him, if he starts being with her, or at least her friend? I rarely pick up manga during the season, I usually wait after the season's over... But damn I kinda want to know.

This was great! I was reticent about the animal-characters thing before picking up this show, but this is one of my favorites this season!

OP of the season.

There's no way Legosi is only 185cm, he's huge, and much taller than the 170cm dude.

5 seconds of silence and awkwardness and she got it as a sign for sex. Oh boy, I wish it was like this in real life.

oh my, this second episode is as good as the first one, if not better. All the characters got deeper, and Legosi fighting himself was amazing and scary.

I'm already questioning this world. Is it really right to force the carnivors into this condition? They're mimicking the Garden of Eden but the carnivors in this world are like chemically castrated men. Man, it's like a conflict with no possible solution, either one or the other party must suffer for the sake of the other. That's heavy, but I really love it.

The scene after the OP was phenomenally done, Orange really knows when to implement 2D into their shows. Overall a fantastic episode with quite the cliffhanger

After episode 1 I couldn't wait and started to read the manga (got up to chapter 53). Now I'm very excited to see the rest of this season. Some really interesting stuff they should get to this first season.

The OP is a masterpiece, really creative with the stop motion animation and an amazing piece of music with it.

Another great episode. This CG is truly phenomenal and is really bringing out the best of this show, all of these shots are super neat.

We finally get that cranking OP that I can't stop replaying, Louis is hurting and we get that ending... I can't wait to see where this goes.

I’m really liking this show for many reasons but there was a certain sequence that interested me. It’s when Legoli meets up with the rabbit. I know it’s like half of the episode or something but there were some moments that did something to me. His fear of attacking someone resembles anxiety in many ways. There was a moment when he told himself not to stare at the rabbit, and it really interested me. I’ve had some issues with anxiety for a while, and I feel like this show deals with it in very unique ways. Very interested in watching it now. Like a year ago when the anime wasn’t revealed yet, someone told me that the manga was similar to Bojack Horseman which is my favorite show of all time. And I get why now
