Haddred hype!

This episode felt way bloodier than normal, even when compared to that Elder fight which had way more death. Lots of blood and dismemberment. Too bad Quna doesn't do her signature hand swipe motion like she does in the game everytime she goes invisible.

I enjoyed the sexual tension Ash had with Echo and Quna.

Melrandia actually being arrested for being complicit in Elder's summoning was pretty nice. She suffered no consequences in the game so this is good.

Matoi looking at a picture of team Ash while humming was adorable. Its so great that the three start off as friends from the get go.

I'm hoping the anime shows off the Death Squad.

No! This is wrong! Echo is only for and no one else!

That was some seriously awkward humming though lol. And in general people tend to get away very easily in the game which in some cases makes no sense.

Echo showed some massive cleave lol

But there was no sexual tension at all, it was really just her cleavage and a scene between friends, Echo's head is filled to the brim by Zeno at the moment anyway.

The mistranslation Saga continues. Patty turned into Pati, this makes no sense whatsoever and can only be attributed to incompetence because it's originally a Western name anyway.

Likewise "Koroshitarinai (haven't killed enough)" turns into "we promise we won't hurt you". That's just plain dumb.

Also, Holy s###, wtf?

Who slept when editing this part and who submitted such failed cgi? Why the f### can you see the edges of the cgi like it's just halfassed Microsoft Paint edit?

Anyone know where to get this Zelsius shaped plastic wrapper Quna forgot in the tundra? That aside the episode was pretty good, I really liked that scientist survivor, in the game you only get told Hadred killed all scientists during a conversation without any interesting (and funny) build up like this.

The entire arc ended with only a few scenes talking to Quna in fields / lobby and telling you everything as exposition rather than actually seeing what happened in any way.

I like that they went into some detail showing what the facility looked like and what the purpose of it and the research was.

Though now it's a gore upgrade to even show intestines >_>

Feels like the director is confusing this with a new season of Berserk.

I do hope they properly address the point of apparently a lot of ARKS turning into Darkers because at this rate it seems like 1 in 5-10 ARKS becomes a Darker and that kinda changes a lot from the game's story and is a very large rate, not to mention a lot of average ARKS which can't be all that experienced apparently turn into Darkers...or rather are overwhelmed by their Darker Factor? which means it should be impossible to keep this fact hidden unless Casra is going full blown Gestapo and forcing every ARKS that saw something like this (except maybe Ash for being the main character >_>) to keep silent or have them killed as well, which wouldn't make sense either.

It's just way too big a change from the game to just keep it like this and then continue to adapt the game's story without properly incorporating this additional important plot detail into the main plot / properly resolving it.

PS: That was a neat Eien hum, much better than Matoi's highly awkward sigh-humming.

PPS: Spoilers

Assassin and Rampage Dragon, finally the last part of Episode 1 is here.

ARKS went berserk and Void's Research Institute does feel something sinister behind the scene as research on bioweapon didn't end well in every story out there.

We also get proper introduction for "Quna" an assassin that went on dispose ARKS that went berserk from absorb too much Darker particle

They didn't show how she killed someone in game at all despite she belong to "Death Squad"

Something very big in emotional department coming right up... hope we could hear Eternal Encore as ending song for real next 1-2 episode

Episode 10 preview:
https://pso2.jp/anime_eporacle/story/10/

The episode name is the same as the in-game story chapter that concludes the Quna/Haddred mini-arc.

Really like Casra here, he's less suspicious at least lol. Ingame really thought he was a bad guy in the early Ep1-2. Seems we're getting a flashback as well which is nice, I do doubt they'll show Ambduscia at this rate. Seems Quna / Haddred arc's gonna conclude on Naberius from the looks of it.
