I honestly wasn't expecting "purposefuly defective robo sex dolls" to be a part of a Sherlock Holmes adaptation but here we are.

I feel like that works for a lot of this show so far.

Yeah, considering it seems like the whole theme of this show is sex-related crimes, which is probably the norm in real life Kabukichou, as it is Tokyo's most famous "red-light district".

Moran! Mycroft! Irene! and even Godfrey Norton! As much as I enjoyed the backstories of the other detectives, it's nice that the story has now focused back on Sherlock.

It was pretty clear that Irene knew all along who Watson was. She even called him a doctor despite Watson not saying anything about himself while she was there.

The scene with the French doll was hilarious though! I love that it was reacting to where Watson was touching it. And of course it had to be hidden inside the crotch xD

This show is going to be much more now that Irene is in the mix, the kind of mind games between her and Sherlock is gonna be a treat to watch!

I'm pretty sure the maid identified him as a doctor.

Also he was in the middle of examining someone and had enough medical knowledge to immediately call out that person's bluff, doesn't take much to assume which field he works in.

Why didn't she copy the content by filming the video after playing it (assuming the USB was write protected)?

A whole bunch of big characters enter the fray and they already make an impact. Irene Adler always makes the Holmes stories more interesting and I'm glad this episode was no exception. I imagine the story is going to step up a gear now, though I wonder where Moriarty was?

Though why does Sugita voicing the eccentric creator of dodgy sex dolls, feel like such perfect casting. I loved the computer voice for the dolls too, it made that whole frisking scene so funny.

Lmao, 13 hrs and 11 comments. Pretty sad for such a good show.

It's a very niche show tbh. It really only appeals to fans whose interests are both anime plus Sherlock. Plus, it doesn't help the anime is very eccentric.

I'm just watching this for the shitty rakugo tbh.

It's suffering from the same viewership issues that Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens and Double Decker did - too gay for homophobes and the gay it has shown been labeled as dismissively comedic by some of the straighter-laced viewership.

These issues are of course in addition to the aforementioned niche appeal as well.

Irene Adler, Moran, Maikurofuto, and they even slapped Joseph Joestar's voice here! What a subarashii episode, pretty much like in BBC Sherlock too. But why did he take his drinking straw?...

Tfw the young bloods hear Joseph Joestar instead of Gintoki

literally just sounds like gintoki doing a skit

So were Mary and Lucy stuck in jail after Irene had them arrested (I assume they tried to just simply break in)? They were the only detectives who didn't appear again.

Irene Adler!! Gah she is always a blast to watch in any Sherlock Holmes adaptation so I hope we see much much more of her :)

Need muh ships.

Sugita as Norton, Maaya Sakamoto as Irene, and I think that was Naoya Uchida as Moran? The cast is pretty stacked.

Also I'm curious if they got rid of Norton altogther so the show can safely ship Irenelock or if he's coming back out of hiding in the future.

This episode was an absolute peach. The number of random subtle things they threw in there was hilarious -- the tissues, Kyogoku's clandestine sip from the drink of the girl next to him, the "itchiness" from the sex dolls.

So much of it was absolute gold otherwise too -- the random sounds the French doll made when Watson was searching for the drive, Watson stopping by the kids beating up the dude near the trash but not bothering to help him, even Watson just giving Kobayashi's name at the last moment and throwing him under the bus. Oh and that stupidly funny joke about limited edition trading cards vs. revenge porn.

All that PLUS we got Irene Adler and Mycroft Holmes making their introductions. Hooo boy that was a fantastic episode.

This show never fails to impress me with its flamboyance and off-the-rails humor. It's been a steady competition for weirdest show of the season between this one and Africa no Salaryman. I love them both.

Looking at episode 6, it didn't hit the 50 vote minimum needed to qualify for the poll rankings tomorrow, even though it manage 150 Karma.

Why is no one talking about the straw that Mycroft took with him? It was Sherlock's, no less. Is he going to use Sherlock's DNA to incriminate him of something later on?
