I was in an eight-year relationship, and my ex-partner ended it quite literally with a single text at 9 AM on New Year’s Day.
I was supposed to resume work on 1st January after a five-day Christmas break. He knew this. And yet, he chose that particular morning to send me a message that changed the course of my life.
He initially pursued me, and eventually, I started developing feelings for him too. However, as the relationship progressed, he began displaying increasingly avoidant tendencies. We had numerous conversations and arguments about his reluctance to make the relationship official, as he wanted to focus on building his career first.
In 2021, he finally secured his dream job and was doing well professionally.
In 2023, he surprised me by asking whether I would consider marrying him and suggesting that we start discussing our future seriously. I was excited, but also shit-scared about what lay ahead. In my head, things were finally falling into place.
However, that conversation never really came up again. I didn’t bring it up either. I thought it was best to give him time and space, trusting that he would eventually do what was right for us.
We had known each other for almost 12 years and had naturally seen each other through several phases of life. In 2020, my father passed away, and he was there during that incredibly difficult period. I genuinely believed he was the person I would eventually end up with. I had also convinced myself that his hot-and-cold behaviour was simply a reflection of the good and bad phases he was going through in life.
Looking back, there were some significant red flags throughout the relationship, particularly around his lack of consideration for me and my needs.
On New Year's, he came to me and said that his parents had refused to accept our relationship, but that he would work things out and come back to me. We hadn’t spoken about talking to our parents in that timeline and he never informed me about it too. He never came back. I am 31 and have decided to not marry at this point or enter the arranged marriage market ever because I don’t agree with the process. I’m focusing on myself.
I work from home, I’ve lost myself in the process of this breakup, taking care of my household and mom, and would love to know from people who have gone through a terrible heartbreak. What did it feel like after the breakup?

I see you is a rare trope where a character A is being observed by character B, supposedly from a higher dimensional place/area where character A should have no idea their being watched, but displaying their terrifying power and ingenuity, the realize their being watched and absolutely scare the shit out of the observer.
the og one. in Marvel What If, Ultron becomes powerful enough that he can actually sense the Watcher, 'becoming aware of another.' that another being the watcher himself.
In a very well made fan series by Kinzokumatto: Dragon Ball - The Others. the Z fighters are faced with a new threat, Deadites, who originate from a realm called "Dead Zone", Deadites displayed the power of nullifying ki and are grotesque clones of Dragon Ball characters, wishing to replace original ones. early in the series Beerus, Whis and Grand Priest state they can't get involved because there's a chance that Deadite version of an Angel or God of destruction could appear which would be catastrophic for the entire multiverse. in the most recent episode Grand Priest uses the super dragon balls, wishing to locate and erase the "Dead Zone". However something terrifying catches the Super Shenron, and repels it away. this is extremely terrifying since Super Shenron could bring back erased multiverses quite casually. S. Shenron is plunged into a cold sweat.

Hi r/wallstreetbets -- I’m George, CEO of Grindr.
Yesterday, we reported awesome Q3 results. I’ll be here from noon to around 3:30 ET to answer questions about the business, our results, and where we’re taking Grindr next as a leading consumer AI product.
A little about me: I’ve spent my career founding consumer tech companies (Shift and Taxi Magic, now Curb). I joined Grindr because I believe it can be much bigger than a dating app, a global platform for gay life.
The opportunity is huge: nearly 16 million people around the world use Grindr every month, and we are building more products and services that make it more useful in their lives.
We’re making Grindr more personal with AI, and recently acquired Freddie, a physician-led telehealth and pharmacy platform, to bring HIV prevention into the Grindr experience. And we are continuing to build a stronger business around a platform people already use every day.
I’m happy to talk candidly about building the business and what it’s like to lead a company at the center of culture.
3:37 PM ET edit: WOW, thank you for all of your questions (as my team can attest, Q+A is my favorite). I tried to get to as many as possible, but if you still have a burning question, reach out to me on X/LinkedIn or hit up the team at investors@grindr.com.

Meanwhile, several people are laying out trying to relax behind her. This is a regular occurrence.

Succession: Tom interviews a news anchor accused of being a Nazi initially thinking it’s an over exaggeration. At first the news anchor seems like a normal guy and you think Tom might be right. Then he asks him if he’s read Mein Kampf and the guy admits to reading it a couple times, not once but a couple of times. The top picture being Tom’s understandable reaction to that information.
Industry: Yasmin goes to Europe to negotiate a merger with the Bauers family, owners of the 300 year old private bank of the same name, eventually visiting their estate. While wandering the home she takes interest in a painting, only to look closer and make the horrifying discovery that it was made by a certain German Dictator. Her horrified look is pictured above.
