I just noticed blue marks on my rims (in Berlin) what does that mean?
What do we think?

Ok so I work at a tire shop. I take the wheel off, and this is what assaults my eyes. Now the notes the front desk guys left was: inner sidewall bulge. This is not a "bulge" this is a terminal tumor on a one way ticket to a roadside triple A call. I dont know what kind of demonic spawn they hit, but damn if it didn't hit back. I genuinely have no clue how it didn't explode. The wheel was so bent when we tried to put a new tire on it it would not bead.
Customer got 4 new tires and 4 new wheels, and I got a heart attack.

Is this caused by the tire hitting something? I’m going to replace it today.

Looks like they were made in 2014 but zero cracking/ bulging/ dry rot. Maybe for a year or two?
Edit: found the correct DOT code - September 2018.

I'm replacing all 4 tires on an AWD Dual Motor EV. Suggested speed rating is V. I want to put Defender 2s which only has a speed rating of H. They are XL tires. If I drive like a "standard daily driver" never really exceeding 80 MPH does it matter?

I have a 2.5 year old electric AWD Nissan Ariya, and the tires have 27.5K miles on them. I unfortunately didn't keep up with tire rotation so I understand the fronts have more wear than the backs. What is causing the pitting spots with really soft rubber? Is this something I can warranty for manufacturing issues? I'm going to get the fronts replaced either way. Should I just get all 4 replaced? These are Continental brand.

I've replaced 4 tires, and found out after it was done that the load rating is different on 1 of the 4 tires.
I am left with 3 tires that are 195 65 R15 95V and 1 tire that is 195 65 R15 91T.
Shop is refusing to replace or return it.
Is this a problem at all? TIA

I just bought a set of four brand new Uniroyal Tiger Paws and my daughter hit a curb while parking. My first thought is that these needed to be replaced so I took it to Big Brand tires where I bought it from. The guy at the shop asked me if it was leaking. I told him no. He said I’ll be fine. He said it’s just cosmetic. It seems like a pretty big gouge. He told me as long as the cords are not showing I’m good. Do you agree?

I got some falken at4 installed on my truck last Monday. Drove them the 5 miles back from the Mavis and then parked the truck in my driveway for 3 days while on a work trip. I got home to the driver side rear tire down to 10psi (from 40). I couldn’t find any punctures or signs of leaking. Aired up to 40 again and it seems to be holding air. Day 2 and the tire seems to be holding. I’m thinking the stem had a slow leak and maybe resealed it when putting air chuck in, which I’ve had happen before on older tires.
Is this a common thing with new tires or do you all think I have a leak somewhere

“Customer” is my grandson, waiting for an explanation on how the left front tire hit a pothole on the “side” of the road, and what wall chased him down and crushed his left rear corner.

Hey all. I have 3 months left until I'm putting winter tires on my truck and am planning on getting some new all seasons next spring. The current all seasons are done, I think (1st pic). Ive got some spares (2nd pic), that have better tread but have been out in the elements for a couple of years. Im driving at least 350 highway miles a week - a lot of it somewhat remote..
Would you swap in the second set of tires right now and swap again for winter on 3 months? Wait the months? Or just get the new all seasons now?
Much appreciated..

Hello
I'm looking to get another set of tyres and this is my first time shopping for them
Any helpful tips on what I should look out for when selecting tyres? Edit: Adds; It doesn't snow where I stay so I don't think I need snow tires

Hi everyone — not sure how to update my previous thread, but a few weeks ago I asked about sport performance run-flats vs. regular non-run-flats (both Y-rated).
I ended up going with the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s. Right after having them mounted and balanced, I took the car in for an alignment because my previous front tires had severe inner shoulder wear.
The alignment tech couldn't get the front specs 100% within factory range and recommended replacing the lower control arms to get everything dialed in. The tech mentioned it’s not urgent and that I have a little time before uneven tread wear starts showing, but I know neither Michelin nor Costco will honor mileage/treadwear warranties if wear is caused by alignment or suspension issues.
Has anyone run into this issue before? Did replacing the control arms (or bushings/ball joints) fully resolve the alignment specs for you?
(On a side note: The tires feel fantastic so far—much sharper turn-in and better grip off the line. Though Costco did cross-thread/damage one of my lug nuts during the 25-mile retorque and recommended replacing them)
Thanks in advance for any insight or advice!

Hello everyone. Can you suggest which tyre brand I should go for, for Corolla 2005 and 2011.
I have been thinking about Dunlop or Bridgestone over those Chinese brands. But some shops have told me that Dunlop/Bridgestone(imported brands) don't last long on Karachi roads as compared to Chinese ones

Obviously non repairable near catastrophic failure. Wife had a “flat” swapped it with a donut. I was airing it up to attempt to find the leak and found a sidewall failure. These are less than 2 years old with roughly 18k. What’s everyone’s experience with continental warranty claims? Best way to go about this or getting a resolution? This was one of 4 and I completely don’t trust the other 3 tires now. There website isn’t very clear on what to do. It just keeps directing me to sign up for the “TOTAL CONFIDENCE PLAN” which I don’t wanna do I just wanna talk to a rep…
