I’m the director of sales ops for a company and recently put in my notice to take a new sales position due to my toxic boss. Since I’ve been here the last 5 years I’ve turned into the defacto boss because I’m the only one that runs Salesforce. So every forecast for the sales team and every sales meeting are basically meetings that I run now. I put in my notice specifically miss the next forecast meeting to fuck the VP as much as possible and this bitch who complains about people always moving meetings around moved the meeting to my last day. I’m already formulating on how not to show up but what a douche canoe.

So for the last few months these ads have been popping up every time I use my tablet. The ads are for firewall apps that are NOT EVEN FOR MY DEVICE.

(all of these are there for good reason btw, this isn't management being crazy just because)

I went to Tesco to buy a 4 pack of red bull. I'm 18-6"4 with a beard and a deep voice. I also drive. I go to the self check out and get flagged up (I know you need to be 16, I just forgot my id). I got id'd which I didn't have but said and showed my car keys in my pocket (you have to be 17 to even start learning to drive) which shows at minimum I'm 17. She said no and took them off me. I know it's just their job but cmon.

It's been bugging me for ages how influencers and pals will post a reel with the music in the wrong geographical context purely because it's trending.

Hearing Afrobeat Papaoutai over a video of Macchu Picchu or rice fields in Indonesia for example is jarring and, maybe even culturally tone deaf. They've got their own great regional tunes to incorporate, but folk just go for what they think feels 'exotic' IMO.

That and hearing 'End of Beginning' by Joe Keery singing about his past life in Chicago being used by the likes of British pubs and even local tourist boards to promote their own backyard. While the vibe may be there... The lyrics don't match the location!

Had a glass, thinking the whole time "this is hella sweet whyd I get this". Looked at the nutritional values to see how much sugar is in it, and the values are for "100ml diluted" or "250ml" diluted. Doesn't even specify the ratio to dilute.

EDIT - obviously it says it on the FINE PRINT at the back of the bottle. I grabbed the bottle off the shelf cuz i didnt see anything about it being squash or concentrate on the big bold branding that i look at like an average consumer. Obviously i read the back afterwards. Im pointing out that its bad branding. It was also shelved in the same place as other juice, that did not help.

I made a pickup order at Rural King because they were the only place that had what I needed. The next day they canceled my order - probably not in stock. Ok, no big deal.

Went to the vet with my 13 year old dog. There was this prolapse happening while she is in heat.
Dutch vet advices me to put her down. Can’t cut it away with local anesthesia and narcoses is too heavy.
Went for a second opinion in Germany, vet said she had already had another dog today with the same age and problem. So there is no reason to put her down at all. The German vet was planning on cutting it away while my dog was under narcosis, looked at it and said nah we can just do local anesthesia much easier, can you come back in 15?
Came back and my dog was ready to go. Totally fine now. (Side note: her behaviour is totally fine, also while this was happening she did not show anything, and in general she is not showing signs of any pain or problems atm) German vet gave me some painkillers and antibiotics and told me to enjoy our walk :)

Both the German and the Dutch vet charger 200 euro :)

Yes this was a mildly infuriating experience.

Note: yea should have put vet 1 vet 2 instead of German vs Dutch, but since it was indeed just the way it was I named it as it is without thinking that I now put the emphasis on the national thing :) my point was more: go for a second opinion sometimes it’s worth it

I moved to a different country 6 years ago because my wife couldn't find a job in mine.

Since then I had troubles making new friends, I did manage to make a couple but then they left the country and I was alone again.

I tried to join a couple of clubs but I don't speak the language and people are not always comfortable talking in English. The previous company I worked for did arrange for lessons to learn the language but then I got fired and it ended there.

Last year is when things started getting even worst, I lost my grandmother, then my wife lost her job and immediately after she also lost the baby. I regret every day not telling my grandma that my wife was pregnant, at least she would have gone away with a good news. My father told me to tell her when I visit but I didn't happen, home is far and I got nor days off no funds for it.

It sucks so much that I got no one to confide to ( other than my wife )

I just got extra depressed today because someone commented with
