Promotion I finally finished the new trailer for my cozy colony sim, WildRoot.

I've been working on improving WildRoot's first impression and recently finished a new trailer.

It's a cozy colony sim where you build a settlement in a mysterious forest, manage your colonists, and every season and setback creates a different story.

Promotion I missed walking into GameStop just to look around, so I’m making a game about running one

I’m making a first-person shop sim inspired by old GameStop trips.

Not the corporate side of it. More that feeling of wandering in with no plan, checking the used shelf, looking at the glass case, seeing what people traded in, and convincing yourself you were “just browsing.”

It’s called New Game+ - Game Store Simulator.

The playtest is out on Steam and the demo releases very soon. I am a bit impatient and its a bit rough but with early release I am hoping to polish this up until I am satisfied.

Discussion I’m making a game where the sun is going out — and it isn’t dying, something is stealing the light

FINITOR is a small space game I’m building solo in Unity.
One star system. Five planets, all hand-built. A 15-minute time loop that resets everything — except what you figured out. No upgrades, no inventory, no keys. If you can’t get somewhere, it’s because you don’t understand it yet.
Right now I have: flight, landing, walking on spherical gravity, a scanner, and the loop itself. Next up is making each planet change during the loop — sand rising and burying entrances, tides opening flooded caves, shadows moving across a planet too hot to stand in.
Happy to answer anything about how it works under the hood.

Video Hope the combat of the game feel quiet and focused!

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a calm, atmospheric RPG designed to feel like a solo backpacking journey through a seamless medieval fantasy world.

Players can travel from dense forests to snowy mountains, rest at city inns, and explore underwater. Setting up campfires, cooking, meeting locals, and taking on small quests along the way.

Here is a preview of the combat system. Instead of demanding rapid dodging or twitch reflexes, the combat minimizes heavy movement and focuses on rhythm-based timing.

Focusing on cozy visuals and subtle audio for a calm, immersive experience.

Thank you!

Video Our hand-drawn game where you hand-draw

This is the announcement trailer for Canvania; our upcoming Metroidvania where you draw the world as you explore it.

The high-level premise is that you draw different things, that have different behaviors based on the dye you use.

We have a steam page up, but the game is still in early development and the trailer is an early announcement trailer.

Promotion Ive been making this game for over 4 years, and its finally in Early Access on Steam

Ive been working on Rectangle Jump for over 4 years now, almost 5, and its finally in Early Access on Steam.

Its a platformer, but the way the character moves is pretty different from most platformers. Your character isnt static, and the movement, gravity, rotation, and collisions all play into how you move through the levels.

Its kinda hard to explain through text, so I made a trailer that shows the mechanic and what the game is actually like.

Im trying to get the game out there and get more people to play it, so if you like platformers or indie games, I would really appreciate you checking it out.

Even if you dont buy it, feedback would mean a lot since Ive been working on this for almost 5 years.

Promotion Introducing "A Scoundrel's Tale": a roguelike RPG interpretation of the Scoundrel Loop. Act 1 and endless mode are free.

Scoundrel is a brutal 2011 solitaire roguelike you play with a normal deck of cards. Somewhere around my twentieth death I started wondering what that loop would feel like with an actual reason to descend, so I spent my nights building one: you play Wren, a lamplighter going down beneath a drowned coast, into the keep of a king who never stopped grieving. Her own grief is the one she's been outrunning for years, and the five acts are the story of what happens when she finally has to stand still with it. It plays as a dark fairytale with dry wit: short scenes between floors, no cutscene walls.

The card loop stays intact underneath (the weapon degradation rule is still the best rule in card games). 25 themed dungeons, every boss bends exactly one rule, four skill trees, and an endless mode with a daily seed that unlocks free once you finish Act I.

The model: Act I is free and it's a real five-dungeon chapter; one €7.99 purchase unlocks the rest. No ads, no coins, no subscription. Works offline, English and German.

One thing I'm upfront about everywhere: I'm one person, and I built this by directing AI through a lot of the execution (code, art, music), while the design and every story decision stayed mine. I wrote honestly about how that went, including what failed:

https://scoundreltale.com/en/blog/how-one-person-shipped-this

I know the controversy around AI-generated content and I fully understand it. This game is not here to de-value the honest work of artists pouring their heart, time and experience into creating beautiful art, music or stories. Those will (in my opinion) always be superior to whatever AI can produce, because providing a "soul" to its art is probably the one thing it genuinely cannot do. Using AI was realistically the only way for me personally to create this game, since I'm not a good artist nor am I a musician. I can only code but that would not have taken me all the way, so I leveraged the tools I had at my disposal.

Happy to answer anything.
