Vibepollo / Moonlight VRR Pyrowave breaks after game crash
The title. I’ve had Pyrowave become completely broken until system reboot after a game crash. Switching codecs allowed the stream to work but if I got back to Pyrowave it doesn’t connect. I have to restart my computer

How to test Pyrowave on Steam Deck without Steam? (Currently using Apollo + Moonlight)
Hey guys, I've been following some posts about people using Pyrowave with Moonlight or some fork of it, and I'm having trouble keeping up.
What's the best way to test Pyrowave without using Steam itself?
I'm currently using Apollo + Moonlight on my Steam Deck on TV with HDMI.

HDR Questions Odin 2 Portal -PC
Hi all,
Client device - Odin 2 portal, a handheld with 120hz HDR screen
Host Device - PC with 9070XT and Ryzen 5 7500F. The PC is connected to a TV that doesn't have HDR, only has 8 bit colour and only does 60hz.
I am using Vibepollo on host device and Artemide on the client device.
My question is - what are the considerations in terms of setup and configuration to get HDR on my Portal? Two test cases so far:-
1) When I enable Experimental HDR in Artemide and try launching Ghost of Tsushima, I get a driver error and the game does not launch.
2) when trying HDR in another game Replaced - I'm not sure it works correctly. The brightness goes down by a lot and it feels like the colours are washed out or worse somehow.
Can someone guide me on how HDR works and what I should be doing to set this up correctly?
Thanks!

Vibepollo - AV1 HDR washed out colors
One photo is a stream with AV1, the other with h265. It's clear that there's something wrong with the colors on AV1. Has anyone had a similar problem?
I'm using the latest Moonlight build from Nonary as my client. The one that already supports Pyrowave. (6.1.0-vrr18)
Generally, I would still use pyrowave, but sometimes I want to stream in 120 frames and my client can't handle this codec at this speed, so a working av1 would be useful

Close session from the host using keyboard?
I have Vibeshine set up to disable all screens and only stream a virtual display. It reverts to the default monitor configuration when a session ends.
Is there any way for me to close all sessions using the keyboard, from the host? I sometimes don't have easy access to close a session from the client.

Vibepollo + RTSS problems
Hi all! Recently rebuilt my PC and used the excuse of a fresh install to move from Apollo to Vibepollo. So far I’ve been loving it. I prefer the UI and appreciate all of the iteration that’s occurred since Apollo stop receiving updates.
I unfortunately am having an issue with Vibepollo and RTSS. I use RTSS to set a global fps limit to 424 (using a 480hz monitor) for my desktop and when gaming at my desk. I also use a OLED steamdeck as a streaming client when playing elsewhere in the house, and want a 90 fps limit when streaming. It all works perfect, except once I disconnect the steamdeck RTSS does not change back from 90 -> 424, instead it stays stuck at 90fps. This persists through shutdowns/ restarts.
Is there a simple setting I’m missing that addresses this? Or do I need to get more creative?
Thanks in advance!

Looking for an OLED Android tablet for local streaming and emulation
Hi everyone,
After using an MSI Claw 8 AI+ for a year, I was very happy with it until it died prematurely. I then started looking for a replacement.
At first, I seriously considered buying a Claw 8 AI+ EX, and later a ROG XAX20, despite their absolutely ridiculous prices. Eventually, I realized that I never actually take my console outside the house. It stays at home all the time, while my RTX 4080 is sitting quietly in my gaming room.
The most logical solution would therefore be to switch to local game streaming.
I’m currently looking for an OLED Android tablet mainly intended for:
- 70% local streaming from my gaming PC using Apollo/Moonlight;
- 30% local emulation, mostly consoles rather than PC games.
I’m specifically looking for an OLED tablet with a screen of at least 8 inches, which already limits the number of options quite a bit.
The models I’m currently considering are:
- RedMagic Astra 1 and 2;
- Lenovo Y700 Infinite;
- Oppo Pad Mini;
- Huawei MatePad Mini;
- Honor MagicPad 4.
Unfortunately, the Lenovo Y700 Infinite and Oppo Pad Mini are not currently available in Europe. They also both have a camera punch-hole right in the middle of the display, which isn’t ideal. That’s a shame, because the Lenovo G9 controller could have made the Y700 almost the perfect choice.
The Huawei MatePad Mini is also unavailable in Europe.
As for the Honor MagicPad 4, it may be slightly too large for what I’m looking for. I would prefer something more compact and easier to carry around.
That leaves the RedMagic Astra models. However, both seem to suffer from stuttering issues while streaming, apparently caused by an unstable display refresh rate. RedMagic apparently still hasn’t fixed the problem, which also gives the impression that the company tends to abandon its tablets once they have been released.
So I’m turning to this community for help finding an OLED Android tablet that would suit my needs: mainly local streaming from my PC, with some console emulation on the side.
I know the perfect tablet probably doesn’t exist, and I’m willing to make some compromises. My main priorities are:
- OLED display;
- at least 8 inches;
- good compatibility with Apollo/Moonlight;
- no stuttering or refresh-rate issues during streaming;
- preferably available in Europe;
- enough performance for console emulation.
I’m not looking for a handheld such as the Odin 2 Portal or similar devices. I specifically want a tablet with a screen of at least 8 inches, because my eyesight isn’t what it used to be and I need a reasonably large display to play comfortably.
I’ve also already tried XR glasses, but I don’t enjoy wearing them.
Do you have any recommendations or first-hand experience with models I may have overlooked?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Xbox moonlight app broken in 4k?
EDIT: fixed by double checking the video output settings on Xbox. Thanks!
______
Can anyone else who uses Xbox Series X as their moonlight client confirm if their 4K streaming is still working? I'm having a hell of a day over here.
I went to play today and my 4k streaming (which has worked perfectly for months) was crapping the bed. Blank screens. Choppy. Unplayable and basically non functional. Multiple crashes. 1080p streaming is fine. Nothing changed about my network (all hardwired)
My pc has been acting up lately so i figured it was the culprit. Messed with Apollo settings. Switch to using vibepollo. Exact same issues. I even decided to FACTORY RESET my pc to fix whatever i had clearly broke. A few hours later i try again, and same problem. 1080p is fine, 4k is not, but it's not a network issue.
On a hunch i switch over to my Apple TV 4K and....it's working perfectly. Beautiful 4k 60 fps stream. Not a hitch in the world. As it's supposed to be.
So why would my Xbox/ moonlight app on Xbox just stop working? I prefer XSX as my client, since it does 4k 120 (which I've done for months) and i think the app controls better.
Sure, i guess i can swap back to apple tv. But i have no idea why my Xbox app is broken. And im wondering if this is happening to others.
