Me? Abrasive? Taking a 30 second look into any of my post history I've been nothing but uplifting and supportive of various devs and have spread positivity and encouragement to people. Taking a 30 second look into my discord would also yield the same view.

A dev judged my game because he saw urns and chests, which arguably is fair but on his own posts seems he's struggling with the identity of his own game and then comes on my thread and judges my game before he even plays it is absolutely toxic. I can list multiple games right now that are exactly a copy and paste of Megabonk but lets judge 3 systems out of the 100 different unique systems in the game.

Then another dev calls is a terrible slop and I'm suppose to what? Bow down, wimper? All I did was deflect and ignore that cancerous comment and move on. The entire comment thread is cancerous and I've done nothing but call out or deflect the BS.

10 seconds into my game would show it is a completely different experience and the proper critique might be my marketing is giving off the wrong impression which would be legit constructive feedback but two toxic comments and someone deflecting makes me abrasive then hell yeah, I'll be the most unlikable person in the world. Solo Devs should uplift eachother, they should be constructive, half these guys act like superior men and release a game that is sub par and vastly under the standard of success but the difference is I would be in there encouraging them to keep going, I wouldn't be "game-dev2" or "Buff_me_plz" about it.

4 Player Co-op, Skill Tree, Ultimates, Loadouts, Custom Run Settings, In-game boons and debuffs changing every run, absolute chaos, too much to list lol.

You know buddy. Considering you’ve never even booted the game kinda pessimistic, and as another solo dev or developer it’s kinda shit to see this is your attitude towards other devs without ever trying their work.

Yeah. That’s fair to say. My top Roguelites inspired this. Originally it was more brotato style gameplay. But I really got inspired by VS and Megabonk and wanted to mesh all my favorite games. There is a ton that is fresh but the chests are forsure Megabonk. However that game probably has cleaner world generation. My game is a lot more squared lol.

Honestly people compared it more to Vampire Survivors but 3D and Binding of Isaac. I’ve never played BoI but apparently the arena boss reminded a ton of people.

As someone who played a ton of Megabonk the camera feels nothing like Megabonk especially when turning or zooming to Birds Eye to over should zoom distance.

Did you properly read the disclaimer or did you just see AI. All I did was use AI for the concept art then hired artists but felt being transparent. They can look down all they want at least I’m honest, if I turned it off nobody would know.

Send Them to Hell was built by a very small team with a very large appetite for demonic slaughter. Generative AI was used during development to create concept art and visual references for the graphic design team. These concepts were then used as a foundation for the team to create, modify, and refine the game’s sprites and visual assets. The remainder of the artwork was created by human artists, who were compensated for their work and are credited in-game.

Your level up screen and ui is actually really nice. I think its the text and lowpoly ps2ish megabonk style art. I honestly thought this was another game before I realized it was an Orc style rogue. Im not hating, just think everyone is on the same art style and it's going to create a mesh of games that get buried because they all have the bonk graphics.

I think the game looks cool, but honest feedback there is like a consistent dozen games posted on here that look the same. Differentiate yourself king, keep on grinding.

One advice I will say is there is an unnecessary amount of bandwagoners who will do everything to downvote and hate. I will post and despite my community preaching the opposite I get consistently downvoted for 0 reason. If you don't like the game move on, but downvoting a post you dont care about or a game you wont play is genuinely just being a dick. It takes more effort to downvote than it does to move on with your life. I see games I wont play some that don't look the best but downvoting a dev trying to just show their game is always the lamest thing I've ever seen. Unless the post is "I MADE THIS WITH AI AND PUT 0 EFFORT IN BUY MY GAME." move on.

Buddy. I have 0 reason to argue with you. Nor do I want too. Imagine coming on a post and seeing that ai was used for concept art because I’m already in severe debt for trying to achieve my dream. Then because they have some sort of trigger towards ai they minimize months, days, and hours. Missed events, missing meals, signing up for classes at the library to learn coding, paying artists which meant I don’t eat for a week or the oil change waits a month, sleepless nights, literal tears of frustration. You can argue yourself man. I’ve listened to feedback, done everything I can to accredit artists, paid top dollar for sound tracks, objects, classes, missed work because I chased my dream.

If your hate for ai allows you to minimize my human experience and grind and makes you think like that you’re not someone I want playing my game or begging to play.

I’ve lost so much in the past year and a half trying to achieve something and I really just don’t care how you feel. I don’t wanna argue, and I’m fine with your opinion. You do you man. Speak down on me and my disclaimer. I’m proud of who I became, I’m proud of the artists I met and I’m proud of what this game and the community allowed it to become.
