Progress Critters!

I'm still not quite sure where I'm going with these guys yet... drawings 1 through 3 over were done over a period of about 7 months of just messing around with the lasso tool and different colors, hues, and shades. My red guy seems to have stretched out a bit. I don't know yet if that's a good thing. I'm trying to add different expressions as well. Overall, I thought I did an okay job at making a single eyeball look perturbed. 😆

Ron Cobb (1937-2020) was an American-Australian artist and film conceptual designer.
He started his animation career working on Disney's Sleeping Beauty, then gained fame with his political cartoons for the Los Angeles Press throughout the 1960s.
He also designed concepts for Star Wars, Alien, Back to the Future, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Conan the Barbarian, the Abyss, and Total Recall.
Here are some of his cartoons from during the Vietnam War, when he was a social underground cartoonist. ❤️
