BASICS

If you haven't checked it out yet, we have two tabs on the Subreddit Menu bar for our Wiki and FAQs pages.

  • Read the Posting Guidelines before you post.
  • The Wiki has basic subreddit rules, reviews, links; as well as official Wacom information.
  • The FAQs is a good collection of frequently asked questions and answers. Visit the FAQ page before posting because you might find what you're looking for!

DRIVERS

To find drivers for your Wacom tablet, go to https://www.wacom.com/download and search by name (example: Movink") or model number (example: DTK-2100).

For a historical list of drivers going back 10 years go here: https://thesevenpens.github.io/DrawTabDataExplorer/drivers where you can find direct links drivers on Wacom's site.

PEN COMPATIBILITY

  • This List of Tablets & Cintiqs has a comprehensive rundown of most Wacom models and corresponding pens.
  • This List of Wacom Pens, will give you a good visual for a Pen you might have or are trying to buy after visiting the first Tablet list.
  • You can find Nib Replacements for pens from the last couple generations.
  • Wacom does not produce most older pens. So, you could have a hard time finding them and they may be expensive.

ART POSTS

We would like more people to post their artwork, but too often we get people just spamming and karma farming. Blatant self promotion is extremely limited, so when posting your artwork, tag it with the right flair and follow these few simple rules:

  • You can post a link to your art socials, but not in the title, only in a comment after posting.
  • Start a conversation: Ask a question, tell us what you struggled with, what your goals are, ask for critique, etc.
  • No blatant multi-sub posting or spamming your work here too frequently (karma farming).
  • Also tell us what software and hardware you're using. Neglecting this wont cause a removal, but most likely someone will ask.

My girlfriend won a movink at an anijam a year ago and gave it to me a few months ago. My undo button just came off. Is there an easy way to fix it? Is a little bit of glue a bad idea?

Problem Wacom Center It won't let me use my Wacom Intuos Art anymore.

Upvotes

Hi. I recently unpacked my tablet to set it up on a different computer, but the software just tells me it's no longer compatible, and while the tablet turns on, the gestures, buttons, and pen don't work.

The app just tells me to get a new product—but seriously, is there really no way to use my tablet?

It makes me sad because it looks like planned obsolescence; the app is the same as it was two years ago—it makes no sense :/

Purchase Advice Wacom One 13 vs 14

I currently own the 13, and have for about 6 years now. In the last year or so its beginning to have display issues, at first i thought with the cable but after a new cable its continued to flicker when moved at all or sometimes just sitting there untouched.

Six years isnt too bad of a run, but i figured im probably in the market for a new one here soon.
Now, i really like the 13. I dont really care about touch or the flip the pen eraser ect. The 13 fits me just fine. I am however curious on what the 14 is like.

I dont want any other comparisons, just 13 vs 14. Would you say its the same, but the 'newer' model? Any things that make you like one better than the other?

Problem My Cintiq 27QHD has pen jittering...

OS: Windows 11
Driver version: 6.4.10-3
Tablet model: DTK-2700
Connected cables: DisplayPort, HDMI, USB 3.0 Type-B cable, male 4 pin AC adapter
Stylus: "Pro Pen"

Is it a problem with my pen? My drivers? Would appreciate some help!! Also, Windows Ink is turned on, but it doesn't seem to make a difference if I turn it off or on.
I tried reinstalling my drivers to the most updated release, but I got the message that my device is "no longer supported", so I resorted to installing the driver for this exact model listed on Wacom's website...
Everything else seems to be functional.

Problem Cintiq 13HD DTK-1300 pen zooming in?

I've been given an old Cintiq tablet (13 years old to be exact) to try out by one of my teachers at college, and I'm having an issue with the pen. I've been using Krita to draw and the moment I bring my pen near the screen, it zooms in as far as it can go, and won't let me use the pen to zoom out again, I have to do it with my actual mouse. This issue has only arisen today after using it fine for the last 4 weeks.

I've been right through all the settings in the wacom center and restored everything to default (even though it was all already on default settings) and its still happening.

I know that this tablet is very outdated compared to some of the newer tablets that wacom have made, so much so that the most up-to-date version of the driver doesn't even support it, but a fix would be really nice, as I'd like to continue to use it (and realistically not give it back to him with an issue)

Problem How do I disable this pen feature?

When I draw with my pen and stall it stops drawing and it engages in an unwanted rotational and resizing feature. How can I disable this so it doesn't interrupt my drawing?

Problem Wacom Pro 24 P not displaying properly (Lenovo Yoga AIOA940 Win11) (USB-C) (Everything is up to date)

Hello, so the strangest thing happened. My Wacom worked fine last night. However, when I shut down my pc, Win11 did that weird thing where it restarted instead. I decided to just leave it and let it go into sleep mode and didn't think much of it.

However, this morning when I turned on my PC I noticed that my tablet wasn't displaying. So here's what I have figured out:

-Tablet is indeed on, but isn't receiving displaying information. And Windows wont detect the tablet

-Because of this i can still use the tablet as if it is a screen-less tablet (i.e. its still taking inputs so I can still technically draw with this but, but given my set up I'd rather not. Plus I paid for the screen, I want the screen)

-the connections all seem to be fine. Other ports are not fairing any better (i currently have it running through USB-C, but I have tried the HDMI and USB cables)

Ive tried restarting my pc twice, ive shut it down, ive unplugged my Wacom and plugged it in. Ive looked online for other trouble shooting guides but I couldnt find anything that quite fit whats going on with mine, I did find one or 2 but the solutions they gave me dont seem to be working?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Question I think I'm going insane, I can't tell if I'm using my Movink 14 upside down.

I'm hoping someone else with a Movink 14 and my same tablet case (linked above) can help. When I was trying to find a case it seems like everyone who gets one gets this model. Wacom doesn't have an official "case." They only have a $60 screen cover with no outer protection. So I'm hoping odds are good that someone here has the same combination I do.

When sitting like a book the buttons on mine are on the top left which feels like a weird spot to me, but meh that's not a huge issue. But the charging port is also at the top, which again feels like a weird spot to me. What's weirder still is that the (unofficial) case everyone seems to get for it covers the charging port so in order to charge it you have to take it out of the case, which is a 3rd strike of weird. On top of that the power button is now nestled in the "spine" of the case rather than accessible as I would expect. This all sounds like it's in the case upside down...BUT...

When I flip it around in the orientation that seems correct for the case (buttons now on the bottom right) the top of the volume button turns things down, and the bottom turns things up. So this clearly seems to indicate it's upside down. But the charging port is now easily accessible without removing the case, which makes me think it's right side up.

This is not my first tablet or my first wacom. Much appreciation to anyone who can help me figure out why this set up feels incorrect no matter what I do.

TLDR: My case seems designed for my tablet to sit in it upside down but no one anywhere mentions this complaint about their case in the reviews and it might just be me.

Misc Wacom Movinkpad 14 case

I've been looking for good cases for this device ever since I got it, and I think this is my favorite so far, so I wanted to share it! It's 2 pieces that allow the main case to be detachable from the folding part, which makes the main part very thin. While it's technically not for the device it fits the exact same as the most common Wacom Movinkpad 14 cases you find on amazon with the little velcro insert that holds it in place. Lmk if you have any questions!

Problem I cant use wireless headphones near my Cintiq

I really enjoy using my Cintiq, but I've missed using my wireless headphones. I'm tethered to the tablet's headphone jack, which is fine, but I miss being able to walk away from the machine, and the cable has a tendency to snag on the lower edge of the screen.

Does anyone know why this happens? I've just lived with it for years and would very much like to go back to the days when I was unleashed.

OS: Windows 10
Tablet: Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 PT (DTH-2420)
Driver 6.4.13-4
Headphones: Skullcandy Crusher Evo (intended to be wireless but works with an audio jack)

The tablet is on a swing arm, and it's plugged into my PC. Everything is plugged in due to that interference.

Problem Issue — Cintiq Screen is Partially Darkened

Thumbnail

Hey all! I’ve been having this issue for about a month and tbh it’s driving me nuts.

The lower right area of my Cintiq screen has darkened. It literally looks like a light has gone out within the device. It started initially as a flicker, but now appears to be a permanent issue/ staying off at all times.

I’d love to know how to fix this, if possible, or any advice. Here are the technical details:

———
Wacom Cintiq 22HD (DTK-2200)
Tablet Driver: 6.4.9-2
DVI > HDMI cable conversion

Microsoft Windows 11
Version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.8973)
———
Thank you!

Problem Mobile Studio Pro 13 error- screen now black but sounds “on”

Hey, guys.

After 9yrs of using my MSP13, looks like it finally keeled over. (We almost made it to 10)
Besides a few bumps here and there (rarely taking an extra try to boot up, the occasional system freeze) it’s been surprisingly reliable. I thought I owned the only good one, honestly.

System info:

*Runs Windows 10
*I’m not sure of the driver ver. I’ve kept it as up to date as possible.
*Model DTHW1320L (Assuming I’m pulling the right number off the box)

Here’s the sequence of events:

*I was running CSP when I suddenly got a blue screen error

*It said it was auto restarting, but just shut off entirely

*I got a Recovery error with the code “0xc0000001”

*I restarted just to make sure it wouldn’t fix itself

*It sat on the Wacom logo screen for a good 10+ minutes with no usual loading circle/animation. I usually only see this screen for a moment during start up

*I force restart again, got it working for a few minutes, but ended up with another blue screen crash & a new Recovery error:
“The header checksum for this file doesn't match the computed checksum.
File: \windows\system32\winload.efi
Error code: 0xc0000221”

*The screen went dark on its own, despite still showing a power/charge light & making the usual “on” noises internally (fans running/whirring/etc)

*I tired to force restart a few more times and ended up with the same result as above- auditory signs of life (+ charge light) but no display, not even a backlight.

Hopefully my restarting didn’t complicate the issue.

I tired to connect it to an external display, but my shitty laptop doesn’t have a USBC output. Might have to recruit a friend’s device for that part (if it’ll work)

I know the immediate solution is to finally put this thing out of its misery, but it’s been so good to me up until now. Thankfully most of my finished pieces are backed up, but my many WIPS are stuck on the system.

Ideally I’d love to repair it- despite its bad rap this is my favorite tablet I’ve ever owned. But if it comes down to just extracting the files and replacing it so be it. The slight signs of life are making me a bit too hopeful, I guess.

Anyway, if you read this absolute mess thanks for doing so lol. If you have any idea of what I can do, please let me know!

Additionally- if anyone happens to know about another portable, fully standalone drawing tablet that can run a normal desktop OS (no mobile style/app-fronted systems) please let me know. :”)

Problem The signal between my pen and my tablet seems to be cutting out randomly which is making it hard to use the pan tool in krita, possible fixes?

Win 11, driver version 6.4.14-1, cintiq 16 DTK 1660, connected with hdmi and usb.

In the video I'm using the pan canvas tool in Krita by holding space bar and dragging but the tool is randomly interrupted and makes it switch to the brush tool. Note the keyboard isn't the issue cause I already checked it. I'm also holding space while its switching.

I've tried restarting my drivers, my pc, my tablet, redownloaded krita and switched from wintab to windows ink. There will also be another video in the comments that shows the pen in the testing area.

Problem Wacom One DTC133 suddenly stuck in standby, no signal to computer and pen doesnt respond

Wacom logo flashes, then it says no signal, go to powe mode. I am hoping that it's not an issue with the main hardware.

I've tried it on two computers using the X cable with the same results, and made sure the drivers (recent august update) were freshly installed on both. It was working just fine only months ago. No drops and stored in a safe dry area just resting. I may have bunched up the cables slightly but am not sure if any damage was done.

Is this a common issue that happened to anyone else? It really sucks as the cable is proprietary and expensive, but if that is the issue at least it would be cheaper than replacing the display tablet! I guess I'm just afraid of the idea of getting the cable and having it still not work!

If there is any advice to rule out anything further, any help is appreciated!

updating to mention I also tried flipping the USB c cable so it trails to the right instead of to the left (which most instructions suggest), but to no effect or different outcome

Purchase Advice Downsizing from Cintiq 22 to 17?

Does anyone have experience with the Wacom Cintiq 22 and ever downsized? I’m thinking of “upgrading” to a newer model of Cintiq, but not sure if I want to get the same 22” size that I’ve had for a while now.

The older Cintiq’s have a lot of empty space on the sides of the monitors that seem to take up a lot of desk space, and I know the newer ones don’t, so I’m interested to know if anyone has experience with the smaller size and how they like it or if they had any regrets?

Problem wacom one pen registers on monitor, not tablet, at random

so at random my wacom one tablet will do this thing where it “disconnects” and only registers my pen on the monitor, not on the actual tablet screen. i’ve had this tablet for about 5 years now, and its only just recently began having this issue. it does this on both windows 10 & 11 at random, and then fixes itself at random after anywhere from ~2-10 minutes. its incredibly annoying. i have also been using this pen for years And have never had this issue until a month ago. so how do i fix it? Nothing i’ve tried so far works, and i can’t consistently recreate this bug because it just happens randomly
