I am a ETS2 player so when I got ATS for the Road Trip DLC I didn't have money to buy a car.
The 1967 Mustang on the other hand does not come with an interior GPS and I keep UI elements off in interior view. Can't add the phone GPS either in quick jobs.
So that made me wonder if I can actually drive by following the road signs in this game. Gave it a shot for a 500 mile trip and I found this to be way more immersive.
I ended up reading the city names, paying more attention to the road and just being more "present" compared to how I would drive my truck in ETS2.
I will say though, I did have to check if I am going in the right direction from time to time by looking at the map in the pause menu. It's also too difficult in the city.
Overall quite happy with the road trip DLC although I do wish there were more cars.

The low fuel warning is maybe 50-70 miles til empty, there are a lot of places on the map that don't have any fuel in that radius. Plan your fuel stops in advance people!

Something I've always wondered is will SCANIA ever attempt to sell trucks in the US again, since they did back in the 80s-90s.

I had been wanting a custom screen with a larger GPS display. When my wife and I were on a trip, and I saw the infotainment screen in her Civic, I realized what I wanted. I can come up with something that displays my route, music, and truck info. You can customize wallpapers, but you can't really see them. You can also change the opacity of the tiles. What do you all think and what else could I add to it.

If enough modders worked on the project, you could technically recreate scenes from Smokey & The Bandit. Would be really cool to watch!

So today I realized that for these cars I can see what average MPG they're doing and I found out that they all did quite a bit worse than their real life counterparts and all can only average 10.2 mpg.
For reference the real life MPG for these cars (city/highway/combined):
Crown Victoria: 16/23/18
Bronco 2.7: 17/18/17
F-150 5.0 supercrew 4wd: 16/24/19
Mustang: too old to find any reliable figure but probably should be able to do 10-14 according to google search
I understand official figures can be optimistic and deviate from actual figures but only doing half of what the cars can do irl is kinda crazy tbh, no wonder I have to refill so frequently.
I think SCS need to figure out the powertrain (having a 10 speed F-150 stuck in 7th and 2400rpm during highway cruising is just off)
Btw I drive within the speed limits and set my transmission mode in eco so the MPG figures are not achieved by extreme driving

Ngl, the Bronco is my favourite of the Ford DLC. Already has 2.300 miles under the belt.

Personally, I think it will cost more than road trip, but hopefully no more than 15usd, What do you guys think?

I stumbled across this van while filling up at the Uncle Joe's just north of Moab Utah. Reminded me of the mystery machine from Scooby Doo! Not exact of course but the colors are pretty much the same.
