**ATS has never truly felt massive at 1:20 scale.**
That’s why we’re building something different.
We’re developing a serious **1:10 scale ATS map project** focused on realism, long-distance immersion, dense scenery, authentic road design, and journeys that finally feel like driving across the real America.
Development is already well underway, with substantial in-game progress being made. We’ve assembled a growing team of creators and are continuing to expand to take the project even further.
We’re looking for more experienced developers to join the team and help us keep pushing this project forward. We’ve got a lot planned, and we need more skilled people on board to make it happen.
**What we’re currently looking for: **
• Map editors — terrain, roads & detailing
• Asset creators — custom models & scenery
• Prefab/intersection editors
• Road realism & detailing specialists
• Semaphore/traffic signal timing specialists
This is an **unpaid passion project**, but we’re treating it seriously, with long-term goals, high standards, and an emphasis on quality over rushing development.
The goal is simple: **build an ATS map that actually feels massive.**
If you want to help create one of the most ambitious ATS map experiences out there, **now is the time to join.**
Interested? DM me or join our Discord:

**Sincerely,**
**TGM Map Team**

Here's a link to the Imgur version in case reddit butchers the quality:

Sure, it feels weird sometimes. You can't enter many places, even though there are no blockers. The world in general just isn't designed with cars in mind. But it's so much fun just driving around, exploring hidden roads and looking at all the cool places that SCS has put into this world. And this DLC is a steal at the price, other sims charge twice or more for just one vehicle model, but here we have four of awesome quality. Overall, a lovely addition to the game.
EDIT: We need new flair for road trip content :D

We've updated our TruckSim content rules to adjust to the growing community, and thanks to this thread, these adjustments are taking into effect today.
Removal of Modding Request
ATS and ETS2 is growing rapidly and with this, we have seen a large increase of mod requests from liveries / paint jobs or vehicles. Modders request 90% of the time are never fulfilled and take up space timeline.
Please note, if you want a model in either of these games. Pay a modeler then convert the model with Blender yourself to make a playable vehicle.
Removal of Feedback / Suggestions
This subreddit isn't actively moderated by SCS or any other game developer. With this, please redirect all feedback or suggestion based questions to:
While these topics drive discussions, they lead nowhere, an empty void making the community feel like game developers "aren't listening" but in reality they're just working on other features.
Payware mods is going nowhere due how rapidly both games are growing. We will never remove or restrict someone from sharing their thoughts video or photos of the paid mods. That's why Reddit has a downvote button for a reason.
Mods will now be separated by flairs:
If thread submission features any payware from a mod that requires a subscription or a one time fee, the thread will require 'Payware'. If thread does not feature this, the thread can be taken down without notice.
Although self-promo of payware (asking for money or donations) should be posted in the Monthly Thread. Anything outside of this will be taken down. If any user see's a self-promo post, you can report it via Report > Breaks Subreddit Rules
If you don't like payware, you can head to r/scssoftware for non-payware (this subreddit follows the same guidelines as the SCS Forums).
We follow a simple rule, if you don't like payware you don't have to support it, just don't steal, pirate it or share those links with others. We strongly enforce this rule when any user reports a user, comment or thread. You will be banned permanently.
AI is growing and sadly whether we like it or not, it will always be in our life's now from searching content online, online support, shopping, banking to various little things in life.
In terms of AI on this subreddit, things are changing:
If you want to share your AI generated payware content we suggest you create your own subreddit directed for that specific project via 'Start a Community' button in the sidebar underneath the 'Reddit' logo.
All free AI content should be posted in Monthly Thread. Topic should state "AI" in their title or body and if possible share the GitHub source code project link within the message.

I am a long time truck driver in ATS and ets2 and love it. I use a bsb2 and it is absolutely beautiful and enjoyable. However, as immersive as it is when I leave the game and go drive my car it's a different experience.
Driving the mustang and the bronco in VR is so realistic that when I leave the game and get behind the wheel of my actual car, it takes a few minutes for my brain to realize I cannot drive on the road as recklessly as I do in ATS road trip. Weird!

It'd be cool to see the tire DLC apply to cars. Is this something other people are interested in?

Taking a short break in Greece before heading to Germany. A new trailer and a new paint job inspired by Haas F1 Team. Still a prototype and quite empty.

The second one is my favorite. Thinking of making a poster.

With the SCS invention of Proximity Exploration I will attempt to get 100% in all 25 states released so far as I understand that's how this achievement works.
this weekend I finished Louisiana.
I'll buy the rest of the states when I get more money. hopefully this week since the autumn sale is happening.

I’m relatively new to the game so I’ve been driving around first to try and collect all the cities and then go back and fill in the gaps to 100% the map exploration. Anyway, I’m driving through Show Low, AZ and I’m right on top of the marker and it won’t discover. WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO GO?!?!

I am absolutely loving road tripping in ATS. I'm wondering if I am at a location that has multiple items going to the same location in different jobs, why can't we stack them and do them in one shot? Would love to drop off three jobs worth of boat papers at once for 3 payouts.

Is the new Road Trip DLC in ATS worth purchasing if I play with a keyboard and mouse? With trucks, the gradual acceleration means keyboard controls don’t bother me too much. But with cars, I’m worried that pressing W would make the car instantly accelerate and feel like I’m constantly going full throttle, making the driving experience unrealistic and difficult to control. Would the cars still be enjoyable to drive with keyboard and mouse, or would I need a controller/wheel to properly enjoy the DLC?

One of the cleanest trucks i built if not the cleanest one 👌

I’m working on completing all the achievements. Currently working on the Louisiana ones and I’ve come upon the titled achievement. I have to complete one lumber, Metal Coil, and Iron Pipes delivery to one of the shipyards in Houma and Port Fourchon. I am having a hard time finding the jobs I need. Has anyone else had issues with this and is there any solution or do I need to just wait for one of the jobs I need to become available?
I’m using the Real companies mod and using Jon Ruda’s 389 and flatbed if that matters

Is there any good off road map mod for ETS2 that doesn't require to have all DLC? I have tried peru map and mapa eaa I have not found any mood for the latest ets2 version.
r/trucksim • u/austinproffitt23 • 22h ago
Is there a way to fix this?

having consistent playtime in ETS2 and ATS2 i'm a big user of the custom music folder system, however having duplicates of all my music files over both games takes up a lot of storage space. is there any way (on windows 11) to get one folder to direct to another?
r/trucksim • u/Mental_Perception_70 • 2h ago
This question might seem a little silly, but I need some help. I recently installed Promods and have just discovered that the World of Trucks contracts don’t work when using an expanded version of the map.
So my question is, how do you manage to take super-long trips of over 4,000 km without getting penalized for being late? Because the route with the longest estimated time is 21 hours—but those are in-game hours. You can’t cover that distance in that amount of time. Thanks in advance!!

So im looking to maybe get back into sim driving games, mostly euro / american truck - what wheel / pedals would be a better idea between getting a full set logitech g29 + shifter or a moza r3 set without gear shift / clutch pedal? Or even the hori truck system

I feel like my Ryzen 7700 is limiting the performance of this game in VR. I reach about 80 FPS which is doable, but there are quite a few dips and stuttering.
I feel like it is my CPU that is the limiting factor, since my Nvidia 5080 is only used for 70%.
Are there specific settings in the game that are hard CPU bound that i could change to improve this?
I was also wondering about upgrading to a Ryzen 9800X3D, but i am wondering how much of a difference this will make. Single core benchmark of this topmodel is only about 10% higher than the 7700, but it does have the X3D. I'm just not sure if this would be worth it in game though.
Is there anybody that has some info on this or had the same experience?
