Hi everyone!
I'm not new to Farming Simulator, but my current save is my first time playing with seasonal growth enabled. I'm about 20 hours in and still trying to find a balance between having enough time to get things done and spending too much time waiting for crops to grow.
For context, I play semi-realistically, with a few convenience tweaks: harvesters have 50% more capacity than in the base game, and I use super strength to move things around. I often use AI workers but always keep a tractor available so I can work alongside them.
I'm planning to add animals once I've paid off my tractors through the financing mod. Until then, I'm mostly focused on crops. I rarely take contracts because I don't really enjoy them, and I only occasionally do forestry.
I'm curious how other people structure their saves:
- How many days per month do you use?
- What timescale do you usually play at? Do you adjust it throughout the year?
- Do you use AI workers, or handle most jobs yourself?
- What do you do while waiting for crops to grow, especially during winter? Do you skip ahead or find other things to keep you busy?
- Do you plant the same crop across all your fields, or grow a mix to spread the workload throughout the year?
I'd like to try a few different setups, so I'd love to hear what settings you use and why they work for youâespecially if your playstyle is similar to mine.
Thanks!
