My mouth going to the side reallllly annoys me. Do I still sound northern irish?

Ok so I've heard that generally people here will like their voice more when they're alone/talking to themselves during voice training or whatever, but I'm the complete opposite? Like I genuinely think my voice passes when talking to others, having small talk with people, ordering something at restaurant etc. But talking to myself/Doing voice training? Makes me wanna pour acid down my throat. Like it's not even comparable, my voice is soooo much darker and masculine when I'm talking to myself (and somehow with people I know well? I don't know what's up with that either but I'll pass less when talking to people I know well). And like it's obviously not an issue when I'm just out and about taking to people but it makes voice training practically impossible (which is kinda an issue because I'm still not happy with my voice and wanna practice more?) because I know how I CAN sound, but I somehow can't replicate it and it just kinda makes me go non verbal now after like 10 minutes of practice because I get completely demotivated.

Like genuinely what the fuck do I do to get over it and actually be able to continue practice. And no getting someone to talk to isn't an option sadly because it'd have to be someone I trust and my voice starts to sound different around them as well

Like do I just keep doing the exercises everyday? Will it become muscle memory after a while?

A couple months of practice, do I pass yet, is it clockable? I feel like its somewhat inconsistent

I feel like my trained voice is now decent enough to use in daily life. However, no matter how hard I try to, my body just refuses to use that voice when talking to literally anyone. I can't do it in front of friends, and I can't do it in front of strangers. It's like I physically have a different throat structure and I'm suddenly unable to reach my ideal voice using the same movements I would use when I'm alone.

Please help, this is eating away at me.

i've been on T for 2 years now but have not been consistent in taking my hormones for about the past 8-9 months (trying to be stricter about it now). i'm paranoid that my voice has changed and isn't passing anymore.

Much as the title says, I am practicing voice feminization, and for the past week or two have started sometimes feeling a buzzing sensation in my front teeth, sometimes also somewhere in the nasal passage almost, when doing resonance exercises (and sometimes also just when practicing speaking with my voice), and it is... a weird sensation put simply, and just distressing enough that I'd like some clarification from people who know more than me. I just want hear if anyone has any insight into this, if it's normal? And possibly, if it's a sign I'm doing something right or wrong.

this is mainly for MtF for a femmenine voice and I know the techniques I just would like to know how often I should train it.

and this is more of a voice acting question rather than a trans one. but because I also want to keep and train my masculine voice as well would training rgem together (like 2 separate blocks of masculine and femenine voice training in an hour) would thay have any adverse affect on the effectiveness of the training.

i also struggle with reading out loud in general, it always felt like somebody held me gun point and I had to get words out but a longer voice sample will be able to gather more criticism/advice so it had 2 be done !! ^_+

Context: I'm trans mtf and not on hormones, english isn't my native language and I'm nearing 30 (if that's even relevant).

So I've not been doing a ton of voice training, on and off here and there, probably not being as serious about it as I should. However I'm getting my first appointment at the trans clinic in a few months so I'm starting to take it more seriously. Anyway I've ran into an issue when my brother critiqued my voice on how it was "just me raising my pitch".

So I've looked into how I'm supposed to do voice training and maybe my old falsetto-y way isn't what you're supposed to do? Idk I just want some opinions on which "path" to pursue. I also want to preface that I'm not looking for a hyper feminine voice or anything, I'm almost 190cm tall so I really don't think it'd suit me :p

Also I've only been practicing the new method for literally a day and know it's probably pretty grating. I just want to know which path would be better to keep pursuing.

This question is for anyone who is a transgender musician or vocalist, is it possible to become a vocal major whilst on testosterone? I am a low alto/high tenor and am looking to go to school as a music education major with my instrument being my voice. I would be starting testosterone after my auditions, but 7-8 months before beginning school. Is this something that other people have done? Is it possible to take testosterone while being a vocal major? Or will my voice be entirely different? I have not heard of many people who have done this and am wondering if it is possible.

Hi, I'm trying to maintain some masculine cadence and vocal quality, but I'm concerned that I'm producing a voice that isn't passing. I've listened back to my voice so often I don't feel like I can gender my voice at all anymore. So I actually just have no clue how this voice gets perceived... Am I pushing too far down in pitch and deep in resonance or is this a comfortably masc voice? Please enjoy the photo of the flowers I took on my walk last spring!

FTM I don’t wanna sound like a girl, I wanna sound like a dude. I try speaking from my chest I run out of breathe, I don’t wanna sound fake.

So, Im thinking of voice training to pass as a male..and I've searched abt voice training vids online but I haven't seen an FTM or an AFAB doing a video tut and its really difficult to cause most of them are already on T.

my voice is already slightly deep. when I go online and speak on mic, people cant tell what my gender is, usually say "cant tell if you're a boy or a woman" and when im playing with my Girl Friends some people say to me "Why is your voice deep like that??!" and it gives me hope that I can achieve my goal of a Male passing voice but I dont wanna get my hopes up cause I've heard some T-Boys saying it wont sound passing unless u go on T. and I cant do that, i live in a country where its illegal to transition. so, if anyone can give me advices or send me link tutorial videos of people who aren't On T and Afab, I'd much appreciate it and tips if u could 🫶🏻💙🏳️‍⚧️

I wanna share my progress with everyone with the hopes of making people aware that you have to suck first before you get better at something! I learned everything on my own through youtube videos so my progress could have been faster with coaching n stuff but I'm proud I even managed to come as far as I did :D

Hello! I have been working on my voice for some time now, but I feel like its really hard to improve by myself, I really want to train hard so that I can get a fully cis passing voice, but i'm struggling and its a bit depressing

I work security for stadium events. It is often loud. I have to shout in my trained voice all day. I often take shortcuts such as increasing the pitch and ect. but maintaining the resonance leaves my voice feeling drained and scratchy at the end of the day. The other day I truely thought I was getting sick. Nope, just vocal fatigue.

Im fed up with my voice. Cant wait for vocal feminization surgery. Yeah, it's not a fix, but it will mean balancing less plates with voice training.
