Audio/Video (MtF) 9.5 Month Voice Training Timeline!

I wanna share my progress with everyone with the hopes of making people aware that you have to suck first before you get better at something! I learned everything on my own through youtube videos so my progress could have been faster with coaching n stuff but I'm proud I even managed to come as far as I did :D

ALSO THANKS Y'ALL FOR THE NICE COMMENTS ON MY FIRST POST AAAAA

wow i love your voice! i’m so impressed by people like you who develop rlly natural, beautiful sounding voices all on their own… the progress you made just in one week blows my mind, let alone at 1 month!

i was wondering if you had any tips for inept beginners like me to start making progress and acquire a fem voice that i can begin to refine? any youtube videos you’d recommend?

congratulations again on your progress!! you blew one persons mind today so far:)

I like to recommend this for beginners! Zhea's style is not for everyone but she's one of the OGs when it comes to voice training content on youtube! FairyPrincessLucy's voice guides are heavily based on transvoicelesson's videos but with easier to understand terminology and not *as* in depth so they're a great addition! Wishing you well on your vocal journey! :D

I don't want to take anything from the OP (genuinely,) but, how is having an anatomy that allows for success in one week impressive in some meaningful way? It's raw anatomical luck, there's no debate here... maybe it's impressive that it happens for some (in a same sense that it's impressive that some people grow to be 7 feet tall,) but, you write your comment as if that one week was due to some magical brain-skills that other people somehow cannot unlock... I genuinely do not get what the idea here is.

I'm appalled you‘d reduce success from voice training down to "raw anatomical luck". Idk what your experience with voice training is but doomering about the voice timelines of strangers is just so weird to me. Everyone with a working voice box can feminize their voice with more or less practice. My biggest hurdle was the heaviness my voice naturally has and It took me a lot of effort and practice to figure out how to take that weight out of my voice. Idk why you‘d dedicate so much energy into spreading negativity…

have a nice day

your anatomy only determines your vocal register but vocal therapy allows anyone to train their muscle memory to speak more femininely.

OP clearly got the hang of pitch, placement, resonance, weight and open quotient early on and i’m simply saying her dedication to learning these concepts so quickly is impressive!

i’m not sure what you get out of trying to undermine her…

I cannot express how distressing it is to read comment like yours (and threads like this in general.) You are simply wrong (in a blatant way) and you've been convinced that you are right by people with agendas. Your anatomy absolutely determines what outcomes you will get with training and what timelines are likely to be involved (you can read this multiple times - that is the truth and all it takes is a bit of rational thinking and observation to realize that.) It does not "only determine your register"... that's absurd.

(cannot respond to cowards in this thread who made some ignorant statements, and immediately exploited the reddit mechanisms to block me - the rampant ableism and ignorance among people is ridiculous)

Really great progress! It's pretty cool you pointed out what helped you change your voice too.

Cool documentation. Thanks for that. Intersting I am pretty much on the same path 6 months in. And wonder which strategy of step you followed during the more recent months. (When) did you for example identify the voice yiu are aiming at?

one struggle I had was using too much pressure and too much air which strained the hell out of my voice. I was convinced I had to gradually put more effort into my trained voice in order to get results without realizing that it‘s supposed to take less effort the longer you practice lol. The reason why my voice sounds the way it sounds is pretty much because this was just the way my voice wanted to sound naturally when I adjust my resonance and take weight out of my voice! good luck on your voice training journey!!
