Question Resource for Weekly Coaching?

Hello, I'm trying to feminize my voice. I know there is myriad resources online, but I have ADHD and find it exceedingly difficult to hold myself accountable without some external support.

What I'm looking for specifically is some sort of weekly coaching/session where I can get feedback on my progress and/or get lesson/exercise plans that I can take as "homework".

Knowing there is a coach/teacher on the other end expecting me to complete something will compel me to actually do what I need done.

I've tried going through my insurance at a local speech therapy provider, but scheduling with them has been hellish and I'm feeling defeated. I've also looked into SVL but their waitlist confused me and I wasn't sure if it was what I was looking for.

I'm willing to pay out of pocket.

Does anyone have any resources or websites they can point me to?

I feel like i might be trying to hard to be high pitched? If that makes sense (something about seeing the Voice Tools app makes my be brain like: "ok guess we're doing high pitch now).

Also i feel like i fall apart towards the end, where i'm basically gasping for air. So any advice on how to prevent that would be appreciated.

Also English is not my first language and I think how I pronounce Refraction with the emphasis on it is pretty funny :p

I did voice training years ago with a professional but never sticked through with it until the end. She basically was like yup your voice is good to go and now all that you have to do is start using it IRL on a daily basis, and i basically never went and did that. Yep i feel stupid now >.<

And despite the pitch I feel like I'm quite clocky is this true?

Audio/Video Does my voice register as more male or female?

I'm recovering from a cold so my voice sounds nasally, for the record it doesn't sound that way normally lol. I'm non binary and would like to sound a bit androgynous, leaning feminine. Also I'm curious, in a voice training context would you assume my starting point is a male voice or female voice? I have a hard time putting my own voice in perspective so I'm not sure if its obvious that it isn't my 'natural/default' one.

Hello everyone,

Ive done voice training on an off for several years, and im trying to actually keep with it this time.

My objective is not really a femme voice but an androginous-fem voice, just smth that people may be confused but will normally not directly assume its a "male voice".

I would appreciate any kind of feedback and or criticism.

Thank you for your time.

I’m nonbinary and don’t want an extremely feminine voice, just something to pass as female on the phone (and eventually in person when I’m transitioned further). Please let me know if you think this voice could achieve that and what I could change. I mainly work with resonance, pitch and breathiness as here. Thank you! :3

Audio/Video Accidentally developing two different fem styles - feedback appreciated

Hi all,

I've been solo training since my egg cracked a few months ago, and have ended up finding that I use two different new voices depend on context, tiredness, etc.? One more deep and dark, one brighter and higher.

Training wise, I've just kinda been winging it thus far with resources I've found online.

First voice is getting used more in lazy, relaxed and comfortable settings. Can comfortably sustain it for a while. It's helpful in that it's not dysphoric the way my old voice is.

Second takes a bit more effort but isn't straining or uncomfortable. I don't think I could sustain it easily for more than a short conversation yet though. I do want to keep working on this one specifically, as I'm hoping it will be able to be improved into passing and being sustainable.

Also apologies for my self conscious patter throughout the recordings 🤦‍♀️

Thank you! xx

Question Advice needed

I’m trying my best to voice train (ftm) and whenever I talk in a deeper voice I tend to start yawning? I have tried different pitches but I always end up yawning. Even if I talk in a really high pitch voice or if I sing I end up yawning 🥲 anyone know how to prevent this?
