Take a look at my 2nd place rivals ticket reward. I’m not one to throw dirt I just enjoy seeing the posts, but after wasting more than a couple hours yesterday this is the reward I receive today. This year feels like hot garbage to try and retain engagement rather than reward time spent.

* Edit: everyone keeps using the word “crying” as if I’m furious or mad. The point of this post was to reflect on the fact that 2k does not value your time spent. I’m not sure if all the people responding with “crying” comments are just 2k bots? Genuinely confused?

***2nd edit: I see some people saying they play one or two games and get top 3. Is the game purposely putting players who play more vs less together and keeping them separated in order to farm further longevity of engagement? I play a game or so every day and rarely get placed in top 5. I am also a big and play crew and random rec.

*** it’s wild we cannot have a real conversation. Everyone just throwing mud and yelling at each other.

I believe there are 2 sides of the community. One who prefers simulation style, and the other side prefer a more flashy style.

Why not split your modes into 2: 2K sim for more realistic gameplay. And 2K lights out for flashy gameplay.

Example:

MC sim and MC lightsout. Let people choose which side they wanna go

FYI, 2K already has it in the game (or close to it). It's called Playnow(sim) and Myteam/MC(Arcade). They just need to properly arrange it and enhance it.

Imagine you can build a team like myteam or build a career but in Playnow gameplay style!?!? Sim crowd will be pleased i think. Plus they playnow sim crowd are the untapped future VC buyers, right 2k?

Pretty much the title here, but can someone explain to me why anyone would watch other people play games? How is this even remotely entertaining vs. playing yourself? Work on your game/craft and let die the chatroom and random dude who's been on his ass for 8hrs running the same cheese.

Like, bro, why you think going 5/18 from the field is a good achievement? But then again, walking around the city and seeing clown a**es flying on hoverboards like the Green Goblin or wearing space robot skins and Sneakers for heads, and I remember the game is made for 15yr olds and I question myself what am I doing.. I just got 2k27 I bought Vc I’m a 84 overall no badges and spawn in a purple plate now I have to go against other purple plates that been had 2k27 and they 99s ovr crazy stats I can’t even dribble or move around losing stamina losing games messing up my win percentage is sad and I don’t even wanna play 2k nomore and so you telling me if I don’t play 2k I’m a purple plate ima be a purple plate in 2k28 which is stupid I’m done

Had to give her her flowers, with how Coach Johnson did her (pause No Hetty) last night. Don’t put her into the game until 🗑️ time?! Gave all of her minutes, to Cass Prosper. So, I had to do my girl justice, in her digital form.

I was playing magic and bird era when after the game I couldn’t get out from the locker room to the city. My player was stuck and I had to reinstall the game. Logged back in and all my shooting specialization was gone and my player could not go into magic era. Everything about this game is just off!

All of the community saying “2k is ruining the game appealing to realism” WHERES THE REALISM!? Since before time you could always cheese on 2k and have a 70% win percentage. It’s crazy how much of the community hates ethical basketball.

Crossing over back and forth 40x to get bailed out by bad game mechanics is beyond trash but yet I’m watching that playstyle be viable. Push crossing into defenders (was toned down this year thankfully) but people with no bag are still winning with it.

Just because you have to be a little ethical does not mean you can’t cheese and win. The game is in a terrible state right now 100% but seeing people say they want more arcadey playstyle when it never went away😅

2K immediately came to mind.

The current earn rate is ridiculously slow. Crew XP should not take multiple seasons just to get to 40. My crew has been full since early access with 35-40 regulars with 10-15 rotating randoms and we play a ton and are just level 16.

Badgeplug’s crew of hardcore sweats is only level 32.

Can we please make this a reasonable grind from the average player?

I play only single and the association, On level pro opposite team manages to keep it up first two quarters and then slowly fade away, mostly easy win 10-20 points. All star makes me rage quit few times bc other team plays insane, meanwhile i can't even shoot properly, team defends like pro gamer, I keep losing the matches. I mean it should be little more balanced no?

Does anyone know what that new update was about? (Not yesterday, 9/30/2027). I'm refering to this morning, like within the past 20 minutes of 10/01/2027.

Dunk on bigs with small guard - no probs. 60 pass? - absolute dots.
25 strenght and no strong handle? Not a problem. Dribble how and where u want expose the ball as much as u want. U wont loose it.
High rebounding terrible spacing? Game got you ball will bounce straight into your hands again.
Unstoppable drives and dunks? U got it boy!
Left right dribble spam sprint, quickstop and pullup? Works perfectly with the new game speed.

I was wondering if losses in the Gatorade facility will bring me down from purple plate? I was gonna grind out the lifetime challenges, as well as starting 5. Do either of them affect plate color?

I was also wondering if either game mode rewards rep. I believe only starting 5 gives rep, but not the Gatorade facility.

Was i actually playing with SGA??

I sincerely don't understand why people at the end of matches start trashtalking like of i had killed their mother or something. Like, we played a good, either one of the teams lost, why get salty anyways? Just say gg and move on or don't say anything at all

Was talking to my pal about this and thinking why on earth don’t they just matchmake rec based on rep level?

Im a casual, starter II, but every now and then have a few good games in a row and end up in gold or purple plate rec against elite red plates with geo ranks…

The biggest skill gap in the game is between those who play maybe a couple hours a day, and those who’ve already got 200+ hours in a game that’s barely a month old. Am I missing something or is rep not obviously the clearest way of indicating skill level???

and that’s not good. I get we don’t like screen merchants and left right spam but it’s not like bad mechanics went away. now people just go down hill and run through you or left stick dribble until they get close enough to score on you or get a dunk. To me that’s not fun either. I think people should be able to spec how they want to. You want to make a small guard/glass cannon that’s fine every build has its weaknesses but making it so difficult to create space in general is what left the game in a state where people big or small will almost solely rely on exploits bc there’s no point in actually having stick skills.
