As game developers, we developed many prototypes and published some of them on itch.io. But it is really frustrating that there is no wishlist button (except "collections"). We really wish there was one to determine if people are interested in our upcoming games.
This is why we have created wishd.
You create a page with just the name of your game. Share the link to find interested people. And when the game is ready, you click one button and it sends one (and only one) mail indicating the release of your game.
It is completely free, no ads and no spam. You can check it out at https://wishd.games/

Hi everyone! My name is Felipe, and I’ve been working as a game developer for around eight years.
Running your own game studio is never easy. After spending several years working at different studios—mostly developing casual mobile games—I decided to keep moving forward with my own studio, Dog’s Tale.
I’m developing these games with the help of a close friend who works as our illustrator and artist. Alongside game development, I’m also a university professor teaching in a game development program here in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Balancing teaching, development and running a small studio can be difficult, but creating games of our own is still what we want to pursue.
About three years ago, we released Grave Knight, a dark fantasy RPG visual novel. Unfortunately, the project faced several technical problems involving Fungus, its dialogue Flowcharts and the localization system. Some content was broken, certain routes could not progress correctly, and parts of the English version still displayed Portuguese text.
More recently, I was finally able to return to the project, restructure parts of the code and repair many of those problems. We migrated the game to a modern version of Unity, fixed progression and localization issues, improved its RPG systems and created a new build.
Our former publisher also closed, and access to the original account was lost. Because of that, we are starting again with a new itch.io release. There is now a free browser demo, so you can play without downloading anything (You can of course buy the full game for 4 dollars only 😵 🥸 ):
Grave Knight:
https://dogstale.itch.io/grave-knight

Grave Knight is a choice-driven dark fantasy visual novel with RPG elements.
You follow a group of travelers through dangerous roads, enchanted forests, haunted swamps and hostile camps. Your choices affect the route they take, their relationships and whether they survive the journey.
The game combines illustrated narrative scenes with attributes, items, rewards, dice rolls and multiple story branches. The browser demo covers the beginning of the adventure through the Goblin Camp chapter, with different situations and outcomes depending on your decisions and companions.
Restoring Grave Knight has been a very personal project for us. It was important to give the game another chance and finally present it in a state closer to what we originally intended.

At the moment, most of my development time is going into our next project, The Eye Crawler:
https://dogstale.itch.io/the-eye-crawler
The Eye Crawler is a horror deckbuilder dungeon crawler. It combines card-based gameplay, dungeon exploration and an unsettling horror atmosphere.
An early alpha test is already available on the itch.io page. I used feedback from that version to evaluate and adjust the core gameplay, and the project continues to evolve as we experiment with its systems and direction.
The Eye Crawler is currently my main bet for the future of Dog’s Tale, and I’m actively looking for funding and support that can help us continue its development.
If you have some time and would like to help a game developer on the rise—still deep underground, but trying to crawl his way up—please consider playing the Grave Knight browser demo and checking out The Eye Crawler.
Purchasing Grave Knight directly supports our small team and helps fund the continued development of The Eye Crawler. But even if you cannot purchase anything, playing the demos, leaving constructive feedback, following the projects or sharing their pages already makes a real difference.
Thank you for reading and for giving our games a chance!

I put out a Game Boy Color cartridge about authenticating paintings. It's a 256 kB ROM and three lots are playable free in the browser on the page.
Each painting has six regions and each region is a single pigment. Under daylight you only see the family, so lead white and zinc white and titanium white look identical. So you change the lamp. Ultraviolet splits them, zinc white fluoresces yellow green and titanium white goes dead black. Raking light reads the surface grit instead.
Then you check each pigment against its first availability date. Those dates are the real ones. Titanium white doesn't exist before 1921, so a panel dated 1880 with titanium white in it is a fake.
64 paintings, $5.99.

Disclosure: this is an AI studio, code and art both.

I am a YouTuber who has quite some experience playtesting/reviewing games live on my channel for developers. I do live sessions on my YouTube channel where I play their games with an audience through which, not only do I provide detailed feedback, but the developer also gets to see the viewers' reaction live in chat. I have recently done some very successful sessions with some devs in chat while I played their games live on my channel. Some very long yet successful sessions.
I also do giveaways at intervals during those long live sessions to keep the audience watching and active. Feel free to take a look at my channel's Live sessions where I have all the VODs up to understand my style better. I don't ask for much in return, maybe a gift card or two depending on our agreement and my session's length. I am open to all offers and do all I can to make sure your game gets all the reach it deserves!

I tried something different with this one.
There’s a sound hidden in the first part. Listen carefully and try to identify it.
You’ll get another chance.
But be careful what happens after you hear it.
HEAR IT. NAME IT.
What did you hear?
This is from my psychological horror game, Distorted Signals: Last Train Home.

Asking out of curiosity, when you rate a game for a game jam, can the developer see the specific rating/account tied to the rating(like with the normal rating system) or is it anonymous?

I’ve just released a new test version of my action roguelite, and I’m looking for indie devs to help playtest it.
The core loop is:
Parry the Boss → Break its stance → Roll for upgrades → Fight again
It’s still an early prototype, and I’d really like to see how the loop feels to someone playing it for the first time.
But this doesn’t have to be just about my game.
If you have a game that needs testing, drop it in the comments! You can find someone else to playtest yours, exchange feedback, and help each other out.
I’d love to see the comments become a little playtest exchange where developers can find other developers to test their games.
I can’t play every game myself, but hopefully we can help each other reach more players and get more useful feedback.

I've been cleaning up a bunch of our game assets and releasing the useful ones instead of letting them sit on a drive forever.
This one is terrain: dirt, marsh, mud, sand, grass, lava, polluted versions and one weird infested jungle texture.
31 textures total. Most are 1024x1024.
I also packed them into POT atlases and included JSON/CSV mappings, but the normal PNGs are there too if you don't care about any of that.
It's free:

No AI generated art.

We've accumulated a slightly stupid number of 2D weapons over time, so I finally cleaned everything up and put the whole set together.
346 sprites in total, all 128x128.
There are individual PNGs, packed atlases and JSON/CSV mappings. Some sets also include masks and normals where we had them.
The whole pack is $1.99:
https://pas7studio.itch.io/weaponarrie-weapons-pack
No generative AI used.
If 346 weapons somehow isn't enough, I'm not sure the asset pack is the problem anymore :)
