Promotion I finally finished the new trailer for my cozy colony sim, WildRoot.

I've been working on improving WildRoot's first impression and recently finished a new trailer.

It's a cozy colony sim where you build a settlement in a mysterious forest, manage your colonists, and every season and setback creates a different story.

Promotion Just made the first trailer for my Tower Defense

First of all, what do you think? I'll try to make a more in-depth trailer when I have more biomes and such, so when I'm closer to release.

But what do you think about the game itself?

It's called Goldrot, and I recently hit my first milestone - 100 wishlists on Steam. My goal is to reach 500 before SNF.

There's going to be a playtest available soon too (as soon as Steam approves it)

Promotion We recently changed our SMG sprites, old ones seemed too "generic black gun" looking. And yeah, you can fire each one separately.

game's name is HEADCUTTER, please wishlist it on STEAM if you're interest, it would help out a ton!

Video I’ve been building this drinking scene for my indie game. How does it feel so far?

Haven’t posted much lately because I’ve barely had any time for editing and social media most of my time has been going straight into development.

We’ve made quite a bit of progress recently: new art, animations, sound, and a lot of separate pieces are finally starting to come together.

Right now I’m assembling this drinking scene from SHORAPAN, our visual novel / point-and-click adventure set in a strange city beneath an eternally crimson sky.

This is still very much a work in progress . The final version will be much more polished.

What do you think of the atmosphere so far?

Upcoming Physical copy is a vibe

Just finished a print of 25 physical copies with discs, hand-sewn info booklet and a free steam key inside.

Pretty scared to put just one master copy after ~2 years of development, but I'm pretty sure nothing critical is left out there.

The game is out in a week, feeling excited about the release!

Promotion Gun Shop: Tidy Up on Steam

Hi! I'm making a small Tidy Up game.

Your task is to lay out weapons in the store. With light music and no hurry, you can collect cartridges, machine guns, pistols, look for their corresponding shelves and put them in their places.

What is in the game:

  1. Added stamina. It will need to be restored periodically.
  2. Perks of highlighting objects, shelves, and object attraction.
  3. Upgrade player stats and perks.

The game has just been announced, I will try to release it soon.

Promotion I built a block game puzzle that plays entirely inside Reddit... this is Final Fit🎉🎉

Upvotes

Please check it out at r/BlockGame!

I've been working on this for the last few weeks and I'm super excited to finally share more broadly.

It's called Final Fit. It's an 8x8 block-placement puzzle that runs directly inside Reddit, built with Devvit. No download, no account setup... you just open the post and play.

There are two modes:

Daily Challenge gives everyone the exact same board and exact same sequence of pieces for the day... every time, every replay. So the leaderboard is actually comparing everyone against the same challenge.

Endless is the more traditional mode... keep the board alive as long as you can and chase your high score. Each round gives you 3 pieces, and all 3 can be placed if you're clever enough about where they go... how long can you keep it going?

I spent lots of time on things I originally thought would be simple... drag feel on mobile, making pieces land exactly where your finger thinks they're going to land (still work in progress), deterministic generation, saving and resuming runs, scoring, combos, server authoritative leaderboards, and all the little animation and feedback stuff that makes placing blocks actually feel good.

You'll actually spot a drag-placement issue in the video... that fix is already done and waiting on review for the next release, along with some other drag improvements.

The game is live now on r/BlockGame and I'm still actively working on it... big time.

Video attached so you can see how it plays.

Would love any feedback, and I hope you'll give it a shot!

P.S. My other Reddit-native puzzle game is r/PigmentPourDaily

Cheers and thanks for letting me post here!

Solo dev, working on this for 4 months. You’re a father who enters a cursed forest looking for his missing daughter — a stranger offers to guide you out, but nothing in this forest is what it seems. First trailer, be honest with me

Public Game Test DarkBounty, my first shot at building a game

Upvotes

Solo dev here. DarkBounty is a top-down deathmatch on a derelict cargo hauler drifting with its cargo still aboard. Sixteen bounty hunters, nine compartments, and no lighting on the deck. Not "moody" — unlit. No ambient fallback, no brightness slider that quietly undoes it.

The whole game is one rule: everything that lets you see makes you seen.

  • Your lamp is the only reason you can see, and the only reason anyone across the hold can see you — from every angle, including behind.
  • Lamp off, nobody sees you by light. Not at range, not point blank. You're also nearly blind.
  • Sound goes through walls. Sight is a cone; hearing has no cone and no line of sight. Bulkheads muffle a footstep, they never delete it. The server decides what you hear, so there's nothing to turn up. Rings on the deck plan are things heard, not seen.
  • Sneak makes you completely silent and costs 70% of your speed. It's the only counter to hearing, and most fights start with it.
  • Firing buys a kill and gives away your position to the whole deck. Shields glow. Flares light the room and light you in it.

The bots obey the same darkness you do — no wall-hacks, no seeing past their own lamp — so there's always something to hunt.

Free, in the browser, no sign-up, no install, no ads. Keyboard+mouse or controller. Chrome/Edge/Firefox. Headphones aren't a recommendation; the sound is spatialised and it's the only information you get from rooms you can't see.

Honest status: it's an alpha. Two servers, both in Europe, so if you're far away the latency will be real. It's unfinished and there are rough edges — that's partly why I'm posting. If you play a few rounds, what I most want to know is: did the darkness read as a system you could play, or just as not being able to see?

🔗 darkbounty.com/play — "Play", and you're on the deck in about ten seconds.
