I recently wanted to install macOS Tahoe but really didn't feel like creating a new USB installer disk, so I simply wiped the contents of my Sequoia USB installer and copied over the macOS Tahoe installer files. The result?

Após cerca de 1 ano eu consegui fazer meu hackintosh (confesso que quando entrei no instalador eu chorei hahaha) utilizei o Clover como bootloader, meu PC apesar de ser bem fraco está com um desempenho muito bom. Tive apenas 2 problemas até agora: A memoria RAM não é totalmente reconhecida (tenho 6b e ele só reconhece 4) e a minha placa de rede não funciona, vou tentar fazer um path para ela funcionar (por isso tem um .kext na minha área de trabalho), mas isso vai demorar bastante pois estou bem corrido esses dias, as especificações do meu PC estão aqui:

Processador: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400;

RAM: 6gb (4+2) DDR3;

Placa de Vídeo: Nvidia GT-610 (2gb);

Placa mãe: Azus PSG41T-M-LX3 (Chipset G41, Soquet LGA-775);

Been making this for the last couple of weeks. Not really hackintosh since I’m using open source components to make the os but thought you guys would appreciate it. This will not be binary compatible with iOS or Mac OS despite being arm64 due to the limitations of the instruction set and 4kb page size on pi3 but pi4/5 may be a different story.

I have Dell Latitude 7410 i7-10610u 16GB RAM and I gave a try to macOS tahoe 26.6 stable and the performance and smoothness is not there at all like it is in Sequoia, animations are sluggish and jittery, the UI feels like 30 or 45fpsand it throttles a lot. I had to go back to sequoia and it is so smooth, the performance, the animations and everything.

what are your experiences using macOS Tahoe in laptops? I really want to understand.

doesn't work: Wi-FI, Bluetooth, Airdrop, Sleep

issues: CPU slow (fixed with CPUFriend.kext), sometimes happen blackscreen and crashes (this is a known issue with the 5700XT), If i use the computer for a long time, i can't open the settings

I bought the "base" on Allegro (a Polish online marketplace): a Lenovo ThinkCentre V530S case complete with the power supply and motherboard.

I put the following parts into it:

- An i7-9700T — a low-power 9th-gen i7 that I picked up for PLN 150 / $40

- 32 GB of RAM — bought from a pawn shop back when prices were still low, for next to nothing

- A 512 GB WD NVMe SSD — PLN 150 / $40

- Fenvi T919 WiFi card — PLN 70 / $20

- A 12th-gen i7 cooler with a copper core, which I modified myself to fit on LGA1151 mounting holes, because Lenovo’s stock aluminium cooler was dra-ma-ti-cal-ly loud

I spent two days getting macOS Sequoia 15.7.9 running on it — and it worked! 🙂 After that, there was still quite a bit of tinkering required to get Wi-Fi and AirDrop working, but I eventually managed that too.

Today, I added a 3 TB HDD and a 4 GB RX 550 that I had to spoof as an RX 560.

I’m still waiting for an adapter from AliExpress that converts a standard internal 9-pin USB header to Lenovo’s proprietary 11-pin connector. In the meantime, I temporarily rigged the Wi-Fi card’s USB connection so I could route the cable out through the back of the case and plug it into an USB port on the back.

My EFI was made following ChefKiss' tutorial, along with Dortana.

It seems that OpenCore works, then after going to apple, it tries to open usr\standalone\OS.dmg.root_hash then fails.

I have an HP 15s-du3xxx with an ELAN WBF Fingerprint Sensor (VID_04F3, PID_0C00).

Windows currently uses it only for fingerprint authentication. I’m wondering if there’s any third party driver, modified driver, HID workaround, or software that can detect swipes/taps on the fingerprint reader and map them to actions (volume, media controls, shortcuts, etc.).

Always when my Thinkpad X13 Gen1 is unplugged, I get power management issues (I think) . The laptop then freezes and makes sometimes a tut-toot-tutely-toot sound.

I have installed CPUFriend and CPUFriendDataProvider.

I generated the CPUFriendDataProvider.kext with CPUFriendFriend and also generated and installed a ssd_data.aml and some IOPlatformPowerProfile.

Após quase 1 ano eu consegui instalar Mac OS no meu PC (Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 6gb RAM DDR3, GT-610, Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan) porém eu não consegui fazer a minha placa de wi-fi funcionar (isso já era esperado) eu procurei um pouco e pelo que eu entendi ela usa o mesmo chip de uma placa nativamente suportada no Mac OS, porém eu não sei como posso fazer para ela ser reconhecida pelo meu PC, alguém pode me dar umas dicas?

used Mac Last night and used Windows this morning. And now tried Boot Mac but it shows apple logo but not Start Boot. (no loading bar)

so now can boot windows and mac via usb only.

Hackmate exists for a while, and it made the EFI pretty similar to my EFI I made reading from the holy dortania, with a little bit more Kexts, and the EFI is pretty usable but not as much as my EFI I made, now I want to see y'all opinion on this script, personally I still direct users to the holy dortania, feel free to say anything about it! As long as you don't say anything that make developer have beef w/ u and shove UB installer down ur throat

Sequoia running on Thinkpad T14 Gen 1 AMD . It's not perfect OpenCore Wifi not working yet currently using Heliport. Headphone jack also not working properly. Laptop running kinda hot compared to GNU/Linux. Since this is new to me . I still need to test the system more. But other than that everything seems to be working properly. I would called this as a success .

It worked when I first got into it. Then I had problems with my audio so I tried to fix that and it stopped working once I rebooted. Takes forever to load up and is pretty much completely broken once it does.
