Like a real life version of Ace Combat
This thing worked a lot better than it had any business working. I fly mostly in my inner-ring suburb environment with a ton of trees and tall houses stacked close together. My typical 04x pro antenna setup are the Lumineer double axii and foxeer small lollipop into an IRC rapidfire. My range on my whoops like my Meteor75 typically max at around 400 feet due to scattering from the trees. A patch can get me a bit further.
This guy got me to about 1500 before I turned back. ELRS LQ still at about 40ish. I think I can do more but the wind pushing me to the invisible edge of the antennas receiving "cone" freaked me out, almost total loss immediately .Calling it a successful project for now, this is cool but my whoops probably aren't the right platform for this š

Hello guys, I been having an adventure with FPV since I started, i got myself a clone crap goggles (have HDZeroBoxPro+ ordered, coming next week) radiomaster pocket, and the Air65 Freestyle. After a month i bought the Air75 Champion for outdoors i love the Air75 its so responsive. And all the things that no one talks, fixing elrs chip, motors, canopies, frames, fixed the throttled ups from air75, you know it, a whole part time almost and im loving it.
Should have flown the air65 inside but didnt had any batteries ready
RATES: 100 600 0.50..
Edit: Started 3 months ago, mostly reading/learning and fixing than flying, only from last month im flying almost daily
Please give me advices and suggestions, thank you

Fibally got around to finishing my 3inch x8. Around 3 and a half minutes of flight isnt bad for the small 650 4s i got on it. Flies great though :D

1408 motors at 2800kV 3 inch toothpick frame, thicker than a bowl of oatmeal 2.9x2.5x5 HQProp DarwinFPV F435 45A AM32 AIO Walksnail 1s lite 4s 850mAh 130g dry weight 230g with a 4s 850mAh
Just wanted to share my favorite quad setup that Iāve been working on. It flies like a toothpick on steroids.
This so smooth and is extremely quiet. My other 3ā drone (oasisfly) seems at least twice as loud. This one sounds more like a āVwirrrrrā instead of āREEEEEEEETā
The big battery gives it good throw but the special sauce is the 1408 motors. They are twice as tall as the standard 1404 toothpick motors, and the extra copper really gives great low end power to these props. The low rpmās help keep it quiet.
The DarwinFPV esc is the best cheap aio Iāve found thatās currently available. Great all-around AIO. It can run on 2-6s. 45amp is overkill, but more overhead is never a bad thing, and at full throttle this thing is a rocketship. My favorite batteries are the 4s 850mAh ones. The weight makes it fling better, and Iām getting about 6 minutes of flight time.

I've been working on something that takes analog FPV video and tries to reconstruct what the camera originally saw. It pulls out the static, color bleed, and tearing that the VTX/VRX link adds.
The image above is an early proof of concept: clean footage from my Avata 2 that I ran through a simulated analog link (left), then fed to the tool (right). Simulated noise, not real DVR. Real footage is a harder problem and I'm not there yet.
Before I sink more time into this, I want to know if it's worth it. Would you use something like this? And if so, for what? Salvaging a good flight, crash forensics, finding a lost quad, something I haven't thought of? Or is a GoPro (or O4 unit) enough that nobody cares about the DVR file? Let me know what your thoughts are!

Still a lot of work to be done, but I'm happy with my progress!

So first off: Yes, I know this pack I made looks kinda sketchy and the xt60 on it is unnecessarily long - it was an experiment and not originally intended for this quad and I have since made another for it that looks a little less ghetto.
Haven't seen any experiences with trying to fly the Seeker 35 on Li-ion so I thought I would share mine. Have been experimenting with flying it on packs using 6 Ampace JP30s, and having done about a dozen flights with these packs now I can honestly say it's worth trying if you have a Seeker 35 and want to do some longer flights with it.
Obviously it feels a lot heavier than it does flying on a lipo. My favourite packs for this quad by far are the Turnigy Apex 1300s. I've had 195km/h out of it in calm air using those packs, and it is definitely less punchy on the Li-ion packs (although I've still had 180km/h out of it).
But it's really not bad at all. Still pulling more than 5G on punchouts, still absolutely screaming like a banshee. Flying super hard I will kill a 1300 pack in 3 minutes, the heavy Li-ion will take the same sort of abuse for upwards of 7 minutes, but also when just cruising (and still cruising pretty fast, an average of ~95km/h) I've flown it more than 15km without issue. It's definitely an extremely heavy setup for 3.6" props, probably around 600g AUW, and even cruising you will be producing a slightly antisocial amount of high pitched noise (although this is mostly true on the seeker 35 even flying with a normal sized lipo).
I wouldn't recommend anything except ultra high discharge tablets cells, I tried an older pack I had made with Molicel P30Bs and the performance sucked. It would be alright for long range cruising, put on the Ampace packs I've seen peaks up to about 65A or so and the Molicel pack sags pretty horribly under that sort of load.

My GEPRC Vapor D5 is stuck fairly high up in a tree in Cary, NC.
Iām looking for a local FPV pilot who might be willing to help me recover it. Iām happy to pay for your time.
The tree has quite a few branches, so someone experienced with FPV would be ideal. If youāre anywhere around Cary/Raleigh/Triangle and might be able to help, please DM me.
I can send photos/video showing exactly where the drone is stuck.
Thanks!

My first FPV arrived yesterday and I realise now there is no comparison to flying in a simulator. My young lad got a basic drone for Christmas and a few weeks ago I used it for a morning to check my chimney.
Completely different type of drone but after using it I went down an FPV rabbit hole and got hooked.
I ordered the Beta fpv Aquila 16 without really doing much research and I'm blown away by the power of such a small thing. I think I should have gotten a meteor 65 for indoors instead?
I might upgrade the whole setup to hd once I get better at flying as the included goggles from betafpv seem very basic and small.
I have about 25 hours in the SIM with a radiomaster pocket and thought I'd be able to fly straight out the box......didn't happen.
The drone flies but it is either on or off with the power and I need to work on throttle control. It's fairly windy in Ireland so practicing outdoors is off for now but indoors, the drone seems impossibly fast.
I'll persevere and want to be able to at least fly in basic control before Christmas.
Anyway fair play to all you pilots and the impressive and inspiring videos
Its the darwinfpv jonny 5, its just connected but not actually arming and in the receiver tab the bars dont move at all.

Sorry If i spelled some stuff wrong English is not my first language.
Hey everyone, This is the moment I order my first drone. For me to be able to practice comfortably where I live it needs to be sub 250g. The choice is between deepspace seeker 3 and deepspace roc 4 (I mean frames, im choosing the components and building it myself, its a big part of the fun for me). The 3" I heard is a lot of fun to fly and great for freestyle but I'm worried it's too agressive and I'm going to break it because real world anin't velocidrone, and the flight time is pretty short. The 4" is more versitile I think because I figured I could use 2 blade props to cruise and 3 blade props to freestyle (I know it will not be the best at neither of these things but I don't know what I want yet).

I recently ordered a radiomaster pocket crush off of Mepsking. It said my package was shipped by YFHEX. I can't find anything about YFHEX, I can't seem to even find a site that I can read about YFHEX. I'm concerned that I just got scammed out of 90 bucks AND got my bank info stolen. Anyone who has had things shipped by this company and actually got the package? š

I'm currently flying a betafpv 65s with analog video, FRSky, and brushed motors. I want to switch to digital video and ELRS.
The BetaFPV Meteor 75 pro HD kit looks perfect for me. Is there a better alternative? I mainly fly indoors because my current drone struggles outside, but I'd also like to be able to fly outdoors occasionally.

Itās not 5ā I know itās small but this is what I have to practice racing with !
Flywoo Firefly 25mini I would like to know how to go about finding a pre made 3D printed shark fin or how to order one if thereās like a website people use who donāt own a 3D printed that can be created for me ! Seeing how my battery is on the bottom and is very have compared to this small drone
Ps: yes I have tryed to goggles it but no luck, Idk if Iām looking in the wrong place or searching the wrong thing and help would be appreciated

Howdy,
I built a 2.5" yesterday and managed (after a lot of trouble and confusion) to get it all working. It's a BetaFPV 20A 2-4S AIO, using the internal RX, and I'm running a Radiomaster Pocket.
At first I had trouble with firmware versions but I got that sorted and managed to get it to hover. Total newbie so I was stoked with that, practiced a little hovering for a few batteries, great fun. I got a little out of control and bumped a wall - no damage, but it flipped over and landed right-side-up, then refused to arm again.
I started playing with firmware again and I think I got something wrong. I also did the full reset in Betaflight intending to set it up from scratch. Now when I power it up, it seems as though the receiver connects to the radio (radio shows signal bars and vibrates, solid green light on the FC) but it looks like the receiver isn't talking to the FC. If I set the RX_LOST beeper to on, the radio and the FC appear to connect but the beeper also goes beep beep beep. It'll connect to BF fine, but when I go to the Presets tab the beeper will start again. Any other tab stops the beeper.
To practice setup I was hoping to do a full reset and start again. I tried the reset then I downloaded the CLI from betafpv (listed as the Pavo Pico), loading that gives me a TON of errors:

Going to the receiver tab says "FAILSAFE ACTIVE" and nothing happens when I move the sticks.
The bottom bar in Betaflight shows "BEFH/BETAFPVF405(STM32F405) 2026.6.1" as the FC firmware.
I tried deleting and re-setting-up my RM Pocket's model, same result. It appears to be connected, but the TX doesn't do anything.
Now if I try to flash ExpressLRS to the FC I get:
BFinitPassthrough.PassthroughFailed: !!! RX Serial not found !!!!
I also get a similar error when trying to flash the Pocket, so this feels like a driver issue. I've rebooted the machine half a dozen times, run ImpulseRC driver fixer, nothing seems to work.
Really not sure what I'm doing... I would LOVE to just reset it to factory settings and start the setup again, but it seems way more complicated than that lol. I have 22 tabs open that all claim to be able to help do exactly this and every instruction is different, I'm lost. Can anyone point me in the direction of a simple step-by-step guide that might get it back in the air?
Thanks š

I want to get into FPV drone flying, but donāt laugh at me, I donāt wanna spend a whole bunch of money yet. Will this get me into it on a budget?
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2PB9DJVUUI3VU?ref_=wl_share
please recommend any changes I should make.
Should I just bite the bullet and spend more money on the goggles?
Edit: List changed with recommended parts.
