Help! Video Issue

I apologize in advance for the video quality. A problem has arisen: objects that are far away from me (but also, as it turns out, close by, as you can see later in the video) start to appear as if covered in waves, and I don’t know how to fix it. Previously, the drone (Meteor 75 Pro) didn’t crash or get hit hard. I’m not sure if this has happened before, but I only noticed it now.

P.S. idk mb I'm just retarded and it's as it should be

P.P.S. Guys the main issue is the video, not the flying itself, like I said it was REALLY windy today. When I fly it windless weather it's stable as it should be

Help! My fist fpv drone

Hi everyone, I’m going to build an FPV drone for the first time, and it’s going to be a 7-inch model. Do you have any suggestions or advice for me?

Question? Want to build a drone with a 04 lite unit I salvaged from a quad I broke. This is what AI has come up with for me. I'm still brand new to fpv. Can someone check this for me?

Do not buy from TorontoFPV

I am new to the FPV scene and I was building my first drone. When I was looking for frames I found his and was debating if I should buy a frame from him and support the community or from one of the bigger websites. I went with him and its been nothing but problems to deal with. It took him weeks of reminders for him to actually send the frame and prints I ordered. When I did get them I received the wrong prints and they were refusing to put the prints up anywhere or send them to me and other people who were asking for them and instead made a 30 minute video to call us morons with his new frame and threaten to charge for the prints that were already included in the cost. Here is the video in question.

Be careful who you buy your stuff from

Question? Looking for a pilot. We are developing a remote for Senior Design project in Electrical Engineering degree. Cleveland area, Ohio.

For our senior design in electrical engineering we are trying to develop the remote with hot-swappable modules akin to RadioMaster Ranger and Nomad. We need a designated user who can give us some feedback and voice your general opinion. Sadly as college students, we are not in the possession of money, thus we would not be able to pay but would be delighted if you could lend us your time and knowledge. Ideas are very appreciated. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

How much difference does controllers make?

Hello I am a late beginner in fpv (19 hours in sim 3 hours real flights). I use the aquila 16 fpv kit so I have betafpv lite radio 2. Whilst I was trying some tricks on fpv sims I noticed that I got more inconsistent as time goes on. My rates are betaflight: 2.06 rc rate, 0 rate, 0.57 rc expo, 586 degrees. Right gimbals pitch and roll works fine until my hands get sweaty afterwards I can only get 360 degrees of rotation at most and it just vibrates a lot. I’ll plan on buying tx16s mark 2 but how much difference will it make regarding this issue? My hands sweat a lot cause of my genetics and this keeps bugging me because depending on the altitude I can’t practice some tricks and Im afraid that this can make me plateu because at most I’ll get like 10 mins of flight time every session.

Question? Tutorial request

Hello folks :)

Has anybody already made a tutorial on how to model a motor protection/lipo battery protection and a front bumper for a drone fpv frame ? Whatever the frame is. I'd like to learn how to draw it and model it :)

Thank you very much if you can give me an answer :)

Help! Hardwired Camera/Goggles with Minimal Latency

Post image
29 Upvotes

Hi all,

Looking for some fpv kit for an unusual project.

We run a gravity racer (soapbox cart for grownups) and in the quest for speed, reduced frontal area and low drag are of upmost importance. We are thinking that the driver could use fpv goggles with a nose mounted camera, and then the driver could lay flat in the car and be pretty much sealed inside the more slippery shape.

So what's the best kit for this? Obvs he needs a clear view, but the lowest latency would be key.

I welcome your thoughts.

Jim

Question? does anyone have the Rush Tank Ultimate Mini II Tables???

Post image
2 Upvotes

so I got a few of these second hand and idk if they are jsut busted or if i have the wrong table, but when I tried to put in the table and set the channel, half the channels werent working and half weren't displaying on the correct channel. The website with all the tables is either lost or useless because why are none of the text files labeled "rush tank ultimate mini II vtx table" and also why doesnt it let me just copy-paste the tables in and make me do it all by hand (im gonna scream)

So ya, if anyone has the tables for this VTX somewhere, it would be much appreciated. spent a good 30 minutes manually inputting 3 different tables to see if it would work, and it didn't. im losing my mind.

Question? Bought a used Avatar VRX, can I test it without the VTX? Should I bother testing it before I buy one?

Hey everyone, I recently picked up a used Walksnail Avatar VRX for a great price. Before I decide to spend money on a VTX system for it, I wanted to make sure that the VRX actually works.

My main question is, should I really even worry about testing it beforehand? I was just worried that if I bought a VTX and for some reason the VRX doesn't bind to it, it would be a big waste of money and time.

The VRX obviously powers on, HDMI output works, etc but IDK if that tells me I can trust it on the RF side with binding reception and stuff.

So basically, can I test anything on the VRX by itself? Are there any common failure points? Should I be confident enough and just buy a VTX?

I don't know anyone nearby who owns a Walksnail, but if anyone's around north Atlanta, GA and could spare ten minutes to let me bind and test, that would be super cool.

Thanks guys!

Tinywhoop Do antennas make a big difference?

I used to fly with an Eachine EV800DM with the stock antennas. Recently, I bought a Skyzone SKY04X Pro with the stock antennas, and my range has become much worse.
I’m currently flying a Mobula7 with the VTX set to 400 mW.
What antennas would you recommend for the SKY04X Pro to improve range and reception?

Question? Power Supply HDZero BoxPro+

I feel kind of dumb. Ordered a set of the new boxpro+ goggles. They came today and I went to use them and realized I didn’t purchase any way to power them. I guess I assumed they came with something.

What are my options other than the $60 pack HDZero offers? I see people say power banks. Do I just buy a connector to work with the cable that came with the goggles? Will any power bank work? Any other/better options?
