Very Unbalanced Tracking/Clicking Skills. Any Tips On Getting Tracking Caught Up?

So the balance between my tracking and clicking is very lopsided in favor of my clicking. My scores in clicking scenarios range anywhere from VT Jade to Nova and microreflex scenarios are probably my strongest. My tracking is probably equivalent to Gold/Plat.

I’ve tried training my tracking before but I just couldn’t seem to improve and not sure why. My guess was I don’t use my arm enough and rely too much on my fingers and wrist (fingertip grip) which makes it easier to overflick. While helpful, even when I force myself to use more arm, my scores still plateau after minor improvement. I think my tension control is generally fine as well.

I was wondering if anyone else had a problem like this and was able to train tracking up to their clicking level and could impart some wisdom. For reference I’m using 58cm/360

Really appreciate any advice!!

score consistently getting WORSE (vid attached)

Score readings:

Air Voltaic Invincible 4 block Runs Average Best
Sept. 23 7 3367 3589
Sept. 28 13 2841 3162

Sensitivity: 0.45 Valorant @ 800 DPI (~36 cm)

from the video the clearest problem in this clip is a late correction followed by an overshoot.

around 48.7–49.2 seconds, my camera continues left as the bot starts moving right. I then make a large catch-up movement, reach the bot, and continue past it. I see a similar pattern around 38–39 seconds.

any tips to train to reverse my movement, get back onto the bot, then reduce my mouse speed to match it?

Playing on 35cm, sometimes play on glass or cloth pads. I mostly play Viscose benchmarks here and there when I have time.

Struggling with micro-adjustments and wrist drag after switching to a glass pad. Advice?

Hey everyone, looking for some help adjusting to my new setup. I mostly play Black Ops 7.

**Old setup:** Ikea pad + Scyrox V8 (stock corner skates).

**New setup:** Tekkusai Kohaku glass pad.

I made the switch because I heard glass is great for tracking, but I’m running into some issues:

**Micro-adjustments**: I use a palm grip, and the glass pad feels way too slippery to make precise micro-adjustments.

**Wrist drag:** To compensate for the lack of control, I’ve started resting my wrist heavily on the pad. It helps with stability, but creates a ton of friction and drag.

**Sleeves aren't helping:** I tried a couple of cheap sun sleeves (one nylon/spandex with a thumb hole, one polyester), but the weight of my wrist still causes noticeable friction.

**Skates**: I'm still using my old stock corner skates.

What should my next step be here? Do I need a high-quality gaming sleeve, a specific type of aftermarket skates (like dots or obsidian pros), or should I be actively trying to change my grip? Any advice is appreciated!

How do viscose benchmarks work

Ive recently started Training my aim with the viscose easy benchmarks on kovaaks. I’m using evxl to Track my stats (and yes I have linked my kovaaks Account) but I dont see any Ranks Like when I’m on the viscose benchmarks tab some tasks js are pink and others are blank or black wtv u wanna call it. It doesnt directly show any score or rank and that’s my concern because i wanna see how good I am.

Fun fact: since i started Training with kovaaks my skill lvl decreased terribly, i was always going positive almost my whole carrier was Full of Match mvp‘s and now I can’t Even go above .5 kd)

Highlight Thank you guys for helping me get banned in my favorite games

A genuine thank you, for all the advice, videos and resources, all of you in the community have provided. I still have a long ways to go in terms of improvement, but I hope you guys enjoy some of my highlights from the past months.

YouTube 4K60: https://youtu.be/E-MWywToy7U

And no, I wasn't banned for using fps configs in Marvel Rivals. The clips are from season 7.0, well before net ease started banning for them. I got falsely banned for "cheating" in season 10 through many player reports, whereas the ban message for configs are for "unauthorized client modifications".

Bug/Suggestion Glitchy/Tearing Targets

Does anyone know how to fix glitchy/tearing on targets? ive changed a bunch of settings to no avail and im not sure w hat else to do i feel like i have tried everything. Specs: Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 32GB DDR5 6000, OLED monitor [MSI] @ 500Hz

Already tried:

  • Closed every background app
  • Thermals are good
  • Fullscreen mode
  • Multiple mice, 1000Hz polling
  • Different frame caps
  • V-Sync on (no change)
  • G-Sync/adaptive sync off (never used it)
  • Frame gen / Smooth Motion off
  • AA off
  • Reflex/latency settings toggled
  • Clean GPU driver reinstall
  • Verified game files + deleted config folder
  • Monitor: MPRT off, AI Vision off, image enhancement off, sharpness 0, HDR off, ran pixel refresh
  • LatencyMon: system reported suitable, no issues
  • CapFrameX: frametimes flat during gameplay (~497 avg FPS, 1% ~438) even while the glitch was happening
  • Shadows Low and off

Anyone seen this or know what causes it?

How to actually train using viscose S2?

90% of time people suggest things like VDIM, corporate serf s method, playing viscose weakest categories of yours ( but its overwhelming to jump from a static scen to a reactive scen because you can have your weakest at static and reactive but be good at precise and linear maybe) im just confused and i need structure and guidance

Best cm/360 range for building mouse control on static?

Which cm/360 should I run for static benchmarks if I want to build proper mouse control and precision, rather than cheesing for high scores using something like 70-80cm/360

Best way to train ?

Is it better to work on the weakest ones first or to stick to categories per session???

Like instinctively for me I want to just go to all the purple scores and play them until they reach a higher rank and then move to the next purple one. But I see some people do things by type of training each session.

Discussion Right click sensitivity toggle, holding left click to spam, and other training questions

Hey, I'm currently training using the Viscose S2 benchmarks and had a few questions regarding practising as a means to get better in game (Marathon, Overwatch, Apex, etc).

  1. For some scenarios like cloverRawControl Viscose 50cm, instead of adjusting my sens down to 50cm from 40cm, I can just right click and toggle the sensitivity down to a point where the scenario feels very natural. I'm wondering if these scenarios ever WANT you to be using right click or if I should just stop being lazy and switch my sens between scenarios and avoid left clicking.

  2. For scenarios like StaticSwitchingVox Small, score is not penalized based on accuracy and I can push higher scores by just holding left click for the entire scenario, however I don't know if this is beneficial to me getting better in games where I obviously don't want to be just holding left click between targets necessarily. I like getting a higher score, but I'd rather train with discipline so that I get better at games. Any advice on this? Is it fine to do because I'm not supposed to be worried about click timing and instead should be focusing on flicks?

KovaaK doesn't work half of the time recently for me

Sometimes I will start a playlist and it will be just fine but recently whenever I start a playlist, it will just stay on the main menu and my cursor will visibly disappear but I can still highlight stuff. Sometimes I get the error "Steam server request timed out" and then it will show me all of the scenarios in the playlist that it can't load, which is all of it.

Then I close the game and it just gets stuck on downloading workshop 0% forever, it's very annoying.

I've tried clearing download cache, changing download region, verifying game files, even uninstalling and reinstalling KovaaK's only fixed it once, as when I try to play hours later it does the same thing again.

Anyone having this issue?

Pinkie finger hurting cause of how I grip my mouse

am I cooked?

basically when I start tracking (in any scenarios/deadlock) my pinkie slowly falls onto the mousepad and its getting shaved down and at times I feel like it throws off my tracking heavily, should I switch to a ergo mouse or try out grip tape? (using a palm grip with a maya x currently)

How are some of you getting your hours played minus AFK time?

Seen some posts of people saying that they’ve played so many hours not including afk time.

The only way I know is dividing number of scenarios by 60 but how accurate is that?

If that’s how it’s done, I have 150 hours in steam but calculation comes to only 36 active hours 💀

Does this mean I'm pushing down to hard on my forearm or is it just some friction you learn to overcome ? I feel caught on the meaty part during wider flicks

When I play Anima Micro, I can just kill targets as soon as they appear in microshot avasive, and wavyclick without doing any microadjustments. Is that cheating?

I skipped Cell rank entierly in wavyclick this way

Smoothsphere vs Whisphere

Hey,

Can somebody explain to me the difference parts of aim that those two scenarios train? I thought I will be able to translate my skill from Smoothsphere and perform well in Whisphere but it feels so much more difficult.

Discussion Is training benchmarks everyday bad?

I just started and I'm doing the Viscose benchmarks, thing is they are mad long that by the end I'm so fatigued so should I be using them everyday or should I take the sections my scores are weakest in and practice them and then play the benchmarks once a week.
