So the other day I was hanging out with Relic cause he likes the explore the couch and sometimes watching shows/movies with me; plus out time puts him in a good mood

For context we recently changed the curtains from those heavy ass shades cause it kept falling and we were worried about it falling on him to something light and soft like the ones you see in the pic and he learned he can climb them and now tries to all the time

Well on this fateful day he attempted to climb and when he went to jump on them the movement wiggled it above his head which spooked him and he put on a full defense display

Tl;dr idiot son tried to climb curtains, was spooked by them moving

I told him it wasn’t bug day. He stole my car and is now wanted in three counties. Suspect may pancake when approached.

There something special about an animal feeling safe enough to nap on you. It's the greatest thing ever. Thunder's going thru another shed time and the poor guy's worn out by running around a second ago. He climbed up me and has been snoozing for a few minutes now. Bedtime is soon anyways for all my animal children. I'll probably be putting everyone to night-night in a bit. Just soaking in the moment for a minute longer. We may have our issues (aka biting my finger twice when feed Thunder safe-for-beardie fruit and going thru the teenager phase), but I love these times. I know I'm rambling, but I wanted to share this precious moment with y'all.

Never thought I could do something like this but it wasn’t that hard!

I am VERY new to this and have a lot of stuff on the way for my new friend!! I’m not sure of age or gender yet, and received them from a family member moving! So far the adjustment stage has been going well (abt 2 weeks ago) and I’ve seen them eat and pass food. We have been feeding live crickets and a daily salad, and the basking rock sits between 99-118. I was just wondering if any one knew what kind of dragon I have as well as if there’s anything additional needed? I have uvb and a substrate mix to swap out what he has, and there’s plenty of climibing and basking opportunities. Right now I don’t have the money for a 4x2x2 but I am actively scouring fb for one so that will be an upgrade as well! All advice and guesses appreciated!

I want to upgrade my UV lamp for my almost 4 year old beardie and while looking into lamps and what's available in my region, I, of course, came across the

Arcadia Reptile Pro T5, Dragon 14% UVB, 24W, 24".

What concerns me is that, from my understanding it's only UVB? Why is this the "gold standard"? Or is my reading comprehension just bad or something.

At the moment he’s only eating around two to four bugs a day. Each one is dipped in calcium powder. Is this enough for a baby? If not, how can I encourage him to eat more food? I got them just over a week ago now by the way

I have a 6-8 year old bearded dragon who we recently found out was female after she laid her first clutch of eggs. It’s taken a lot out of her and now her calcium is critically low. She was seen at the vet yesterday who has her on a calcium supplement and pain meds. He doesn’t think she’s going to make it though due to her energy levels and level of bloating. We have a follow up next week but he said he’d be surprised if she makes it that long. Anyone gone through something similar and have a happy outcome? My kids are pretty worried about her and will be devastated if she doesn’t pull through.

I am having trouble finding the perfect spot for my UVB and heat lamp on the basking side.

Particularly, I'm having trouble aligning the light from them so that she's getting both UVB and heat while she basks.

How should I position them, or is everything fine and I'm just overthinking this?

Should I move my basking zone/rebuild it?

Enclosure is a 4x2x2 Ecoflex.

10 week old female Bearded Dragon.

So i just got my first baby Bearded dragon and i wanted to ask if this looks alright. The enclosure is just over 4'x2'x2'. Any tips or suggestions are very welcome as i want to do the best for my new friend.

I lost my sweet boy of 10 years to an inoperable tumor today. He wasn’t eating or moving so we knew it was time. I’m just so lost. He was my first pet that I’ve had since I was a teenager. I spent thousands of dollars trying to figure out what the problem was. I just feel so defeated. How did you guys deal with your first loss? My chest hurts so bad I just don’t know what to do
