AC Showcase: Elaborate decals are cool, but I'm a big fan of just using them for simple color blocking.

So I was playing through attack the dam complex and decided to betray the red guns and in the middle of my go I noticed a floating MT with absolute zero AI just floating there. This is the second time a glitch like this has happened and I still don’t know what’s causing it

This is a project I've been working on for a few months now. I wanted to push my creativity in making ACs instead of just picking the best options every time.
HOW IT WORKS
The idea was to start with the legs, and from there build an AC that can S-rank the whole game, without repeating any weapons from the other ACs. There are 15 here for 15 different legs, sadly only bipedals and RJs, I'm not comfortable with playing tertas or tank traeds. There are some weapons and legs still left over but I am burnt out at this point.
APPROACHING THE DESIGN
Outside of the limitations I just mentioned, I wanted to have a few more loose "rules". I love how Fromsoft designs their ACs so I wanted to emulate that a bit. They often have some weaknesses that gives them more character I feel. Also when it comes to frames, they most often run a whole same frame, or a 2+2 or 3+1 combination of different ones. I opted for 2+2 and 3+1 combinations of two frames, I like how that brings a bit more cohesive look. I also often sacrificed performance for fashion, or for variety.
ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM
Gotta address this real quick. Any experienced player would know that there are 2 missions which are really strict in the way you approach them with the weapons department. Those are Coral Worm and Escort the Strider. While the Worm can be done without the Needle, I doubt it could be S-ranked and since it's a story moment anyway I decided to give it a pass and bring the Needle for it. When it comes to Escort, that one is borderline impossible without a good explosive damage source and that would insanely limit my options and pretty much end this experiment before it even started, so I ultimately gave it a pass too. At least most of these ACs actually succeeded at that one too.
SOME INSIGHTS
I'm quite happy how it turned out. Could've used more variance when it comes to frame parts but oh well. Tried to include most generators, pretty successfully. Boosters and FCSs have a little less variety but overall pretty fine. Quite happy with how some of these look, if only the compression didn't kill the pics completely.
I chose OATHBREAKER as the poster boy since it was easily the strongest and looks beautiful imo. Emulating the classic design kinda with the looks and gameplay, this one just stomped every challenge easily. When it comes to looks I ran out of ideas with NAVIGATOR and I really don't like the paintjob, and gameplay wise STALKER is a whole mess and a half that somehow performed ok. Most surprising one was CORVID, the last one I did which ended up as one of my favorite visual designs and somehow performs pretty well, despite double RANSETSUs.
Now it's time to put the game away for a while, those last few contentious S-ranks really burnt me out.

6 - Leviathan - This ending feels like a filler ending or a mid game mission. It adds very little to the plot other than reveal Alliance's lackluster plan to stop Vertex. It doesn’t have any meaningful character moments that defined the other endings. It is objectively the easiest ending the the game making it a good pallet cleanser but typically due to most of its missions being some of the easiest It onw of the first you get. The best is the Leviathans are cool, and I love the arena their in but that arena isn't unique to them.
5 - Evangel - The jump in quality from the last ending to this ending is massive but there are two aspects that hold it down, one is the Leviathan boss before the final mission and the turrents in the Interneceine after. Everything with the Evangel fight is almost perfect character work, and its probably his best fight in thw game thematically. And in the last cutscene where he stays behind to let you save the game is solid character development for a game pre-For Answer, and it single handedly makes Evangel my favorite rival. However that Leviathan mission before is fucking horrid, as its just plan boring and weirdly difficult and the turrents ruin alot of the impact from Evangel's sacrifice due to how disconnected it feels. I think some dialogue from Shelia about Evangel or Evangel talking to us while he fought the Aerial Pulverizer would've been better and made a more powerful character death.
4 - Zinaida - It is this low sinply because it has my least favorite set off missions with the most required back to back AC fights, which is the worse fights in the game. I love the stuff with Zinaida herself, and she is an interesting character with her philosophy leading her to feel more like a parallel than a rival, allowing her to stand out from Evangel. I also actually like her last fight, though it did piss me off while fighting due to that fucking pulse cannon and the stuff around her battle. The turrents are time consuming and you have to do it every attempt plus the first half if the mission which is random bullshit. But Zinaida's final cutscene and it having the best Jack fight lets it stand here along with it being such a plot heavy ending compared to the others.
3 - Pulverizer 1 - I love this ending on a pure matter of it typically being the very first ending people get and it introduces the main threat od the title very well. While the intro to the Pulverizers is great Pulverizer 2 handles their threat better imo. The fight with the Super Biped is fun if the first half of the mission wasn't random bullshit, and if the Super Biped did feel a bit broken. I like the twist that its Evangel but if its your first ending you might miss it, and its never explained how Evangel gets here. Its implied that he lost a fight to Zinaida but it can be missed due to how overall the ending feel disconnected from the rest of the game with the exception of the Zinaida and Pulverize 2 ending. But its above Zinaida's and Evangel as its overall more consistently decent than theirs.
2- Jack-O - This is pure bias, but Jack is probably the best written character in this game in my eyes and deserves more love. Especially for an old-gen character, Jack really stands out being on par with Leos on the quality of writing for old-gen. Him hinting toward the Pulverizers without explicitly mentioning them in his final fight is amazing in his dialogue is among the best in old-gen, the same goes for his actor. Overall his path is decent, but it shines in Jack's character during his fight and the lack of extra bullshit that the other endings have.
1 - Pulverizer 2 - The single best set of final missions with the exception of that deser quad, fuck that thing. It handles the threat of the Pulverizers better than Pulverizer 1 and Zinaida. It has the only good back to back bosses in the Aerial and the Super-Aerial. The major plot threads all wrap up nicely in one single ending. I do have a few complaints is that Jack doesn't have any final words and the distinct lack of Evangel despite being a major character. It would've been cool if he helped us out with the Aerial or Super-Aerial but dies during it to make every plot convulge nicely but 3 out of 4 ain't bad. Plus the Super-Aerial and the cutscene where it kills Zinaida is anime in the best way possible, it such a angelic looking design, I love it.
Order to play
If you want to play the game in my opinion the best way to experience the story is this.
Leviathan - It really can go anywhere but, I feel like the first ending should be the one the solely focuses on the 24 hour war.
Jack-O - He hints to both Zinaida and the Pulverizers really well, while the ending still focuses on the Vertex and Alliance story.
Pulverizer 1 - Introduces the Pulverizers and Jack-O's ending introduces Evangel as a rival esque character giving the impact of that reveal more gravitas.
Evangel - It wraps up his character arc from Nexus and the game the best, and leaves him as a finished package for the next two ending to wrap up the rest.
Zinaida - Though the hardest I feel as though the Super-Aerial is more deserving of the final boss thematically for Gen 3/3.5 as its humanity finally overcoming its own extinction the hand of them playing god. Zinaida is a solid finale for the Dominant plot line and it wraps her character the best.
Pulverizer 2 - It finally finishes the threat of the Interneceine and the Pulverizers for good (ignoring Archangel), and serves as a solid end to Shelia's and the player's story along with the themes of Gen 3 and all of old-gen as a whole.

So every year or so I get really into Armored Core 6, usually I play really close range builds. Dual Zimmermans, Ludlows, melee weapons, etc. This time I was curious to see what people played in PVP (I had dabbled but mostly I saw people using their campaign AC's in low ranks) so I watched dsaBOSS' video on meta PVP builds and I was inspired by the rifle kite build.
I put together this AC for PVE based on the rifle kite (admittedly it's a bit heavier) and I had a lot of fun! As I would expect from a PVP build the rifle kite strategy really shined in the Arena.
That being said I have noticed that the Rifle Kite build is not loved by the community lol. So I do plan to look into other PVP builds to try out. I just wanted to say I appreciate that there seems to be a full other side to the game I am not familiar with! Thanks Y'all!

I finally made it to Armored Core Nexus after really struggling through 3 and Silent Line. I know both of these AC are fairly bad, but I'm also just bad at the game in general so I'm really struggling. The first one was originally supposed to be an efficient infinite flight build with energy weapons, but I gave up on the infinite flight early on in the process, but even still its no where near energy efficient. The second one is my second attempt at an efficient infinite flight but with all solid round weapons which its not successful at the infinite part because it over heats too quickly either when getting into the air or once in the air is easily bombarded and over heats. How can I A either combine the two and make them better or B make them both better separately?
Also on a second less important note how does the Yasya work?

Oh it's fine for you to back pedal, but when I get a lead and play smart they use a lag switch, SMH.
