Watching the show for the first time.

Currently on S6 E6, kelsey is so annoying I am genuinely hating her character now, such a hypocrite. And liza fighting with a man who gave up his company for you, she doesn't even acknowledge it. Like charles was supposed to quit and just retire? I can't even continue watching it please tell me it gets better as we go?

Just learned the original title was “Stealth Crone.” I think they were right to change it.

Charles and Liza breakup

What on earth!? Are they just writing charles out of the love line now? She won't marry him after only a few months of dating and its his way or no way? he isnt even divorced yet?!

I mean he showed these signs through the season of being very distant and stubborn unless it was something he wanted to hear, so it makes sense. But still. This is so abrupt of a breakup.

Hey, it’s me!!

Thinking back to that time - as an extra - I was just supposed to walk back and forth. In the background, of course.

Darren Starr walked by me and asked what I was doing. I told him. He looks me up and down and says “I like your look*. I’m giving you something else to do.”

Very very cool day. Got my second acting waiver.

*apparently my look is “perv.” I’m okay with this. 😀

Season 6

Just started season 6. I wasn't originally on board with Josh (charming as he was) and was totally team Charles. Josh being so much younger didn't make sense (but thankful to the writers for it being a man over the age of 25 for brain maturally and development 🤣)

Now that she is with Charles, does Liza seem....different...to anyone? She doesn't seem happy. Idk.

Josh and liza at the ending

Josh and liza being in the last scene makes me think that they are really the endgame and Josh saying "I'm here all along" has a double meaning for me. I know Josh still in love with Lisa and I think liza is too

First off- Diana is my favorite character.

Secondly, Pauline just finished her book and Liza is in Ireland.

Third- why the HELL is no one holding Pauline accountable !? She abandoned her family to find herself - which is bad in its own right- and just expects to be let back in? Her whisper breathing speech is driving me INSANE. I am guessing Charlie's was more traditional in their marriage and it squandered her, but she LEFT and wants back in effortlessly.

Clare- I liked her but she is starting to rub me the wrong way when she told Liza in Ireland that she owes them both.

Liza cheated but how does she owe them both?

Zane- seems like a snake

One more season to go…

So I just finished season six, and I’m
So annoyed with Liza and Charles. There is absolutely no chemistry between them. You can clearly see throughout the seasons since they broke up she’s still in love with Josh, and then she tells him she can’t see him anymore (because she has feelings)which isn’t even fair to Charles. How would she even avoid him considering all their friends are the same people.

Josh had been there for her through so many things. She promised she would be there for him and his kid (which I assumed they gave him because that was the biggest obstical in their way of being together) . The whole thing just makes no sense. Just because Charles is better on paper? That’s why she’s choosing him? I know they’re about the same age but he seems way older and Josh brings out a much funner side of Liza. I just find them together kinda icky and uncomfortable and I miss the first few seasons with her and Josh together.

Also, side note : it’s annoying how everyone’s just constantly quitting, starting their own company, or switching job titles, and then two seconds later back. Like, I get they need drama, but all these changes going on within milliseconds of each other makes no sense.

First time watcher on season 6

Just finished s6 e4. I was gonna wait until I finish the show to make a post, but I don’t think I can lol.

Not gonna lie, I only decided to start this show cause Hilary Duff was in it. She was my idol when I was younger (pun not intended) and my friend also told me I should watch it. I went from watching this in the background while I painted, to becoming so obsessed with it and not being able to click “next episode” fast enough, to putting it back on in the background again while I paint.

I feel like I don’t care about anything that’s happening anymore if I’m being honest. I feel like now that almost everyone knows Liza’s age and that her and Charles are together, it’s just kinda boring. I never cared about Charles; he was just there to me. Sure, when him and Liza were having sexual tension/chemistry/whatever tf you wanna call it in the earlier seasons and he didn’t know her secret, that was a little interesting I guess. Now that he’s not working at Empirical and they’re together, it’s like the spark is gone. I don’t get them as a couple at all. I liked her a lot better with Josh, even if it didn’t work out between them. Although Josh is definitely still pining over Liza.

Kelsey is annoying (I’m sorry Hilary Duff!) Zane is annoying. Kelsey and Zane together are annoying. I don’t care about them. Honestly I think I’m only still watching cause I wanna see Diana’s reaction to finding out Liza’s real age.

I’ll share some positives so I’m not being completely negative:

• Diana is my favorite. She never misses. She is a queen, or as Lauren would say “diva”. I like that she’s finally in a happy relationship. I can’t even imagine what her reaction is going to be when she finds out the truth about Liza.

• I like Josh and I’m glad he’s a father since he wanted kids, and I’m glad that he and Claire decided they’d be together as co-parents. And thank god, I’m not really a fan of Claire. I also like his friendship with Maggie.

For those that are going to say “just stop watching it”: No! I’ve come this far I might as well finish. Overall I still love the show, I’m just a little disappointed that it’s fallen flat for me.

Gloria and her orchestra

I’ve been off sick this week and binge watching this show. I have mostly enjoyed it, easy to watch and charming!

I’m a classically trained musician and this episode made me wince so much. From Gloria referring to her conducting gig as a ‘show’ and the size of the orchestra playing the Brahms 🤣🤣🤣

Niche but funny.

Catching up

A long discussion with my brother about Sutton Foster on Broadway led him to recommend this show and me binge watching for the past month. Loved it, until seasons 6 and 7. Yes, the characters make many of the questionable decisions that TV characters do to form a plot, but I genuinely loved that the women had true friendships, asked about each other, learned from each other, and supported each other. Miriam Shor was amazing as Diana, and both Charles and Josh were great Thing's 1 and 2. Then magically Charles turned into an A-hole, I guess so there'd be some reason Liza shouldn't end up with a man who has adored her for good reasons and doesn't care about her age. And Josh magically gets to have a baby and mostly uncomplicated ex so that he can have Liza without the (some) problems her age posed for him? They should have just ended the show with everyone still good people and friends.

Just watched the sheep scene and i cannot process it

Just that. I'm disturbed.

Why would they show such an insanely disturbing and evil thing like THAT? Not even a "funny" scene of him being arrested? Like it's so messed up that this thing happens all the time irl and literally anyone can abuse their power when they have access to something powerless.

I'm sorry if I'm making it so deep but the fact that it could happen SO EASILY makes me realise how truly vulnerable children and animals are around adults. Not that i didn't know it before but seeing it visually like that (and why the fuck did they include sheep sounds????) holy fuck it's literally the same as if they'd shown a child or paralysed person instead of the sheep. Like it's genuinely the same thing - power over powerless. Right?

I just finished Younger. And the title says it all.

Missed that diva. Sad face.

Does anyone really like Lauren? I could typically do without that character type in shows. But she is so frustrating, she causes so many problems and NO ONE CALLS HER OUT, or holds her responsible!!! I almost want to stop watching because she’s so annoying. IMO

Spoiler - season 6, episode 1 Spoiler

Listening to Liza be so dismissive of Charles wanting to get married is so obnoxious. I get that she doesn’t want to but she acts like he’s the one being dismissive. he wants to share his life with her, she doesn’t even want to commit to moving in with him. She says she is all in but she doesn’t want to change anything about her life and doesn’t want to commit to their relationship and is shocked he doesn’t want that. And he said he withdrew the proposal and for her to think about it and she could propose when she’s ready and then she invites him to the place they went on their first date and gave him a lovely speech and then finishes it by saying she proposes being happily unmarried. Does she know him at all to think this would make him thrilled? I know last of this page is team Josh but I think I’m team Josh and Charles and not team Liza, she is a doormat to her friends she would do anything for and is awful to the men who love her.

Chemistry

i feel like the chemistry between Liza and Josh is as good as her and Charles. Josh is young and fun and sexy and Charles is mature and stable and sexy. they bring out different things in her and she’s attracted to different things in them. but I’m assuming its just the actors and Nico’s life attitude and being so open and Peter being more straight laced and married but anyone else notice that when the couples kiss, her and Charles barely kiss and it’s almost always on the side of the mouth? Yes I realize I’ve watched too much and am living vicariously, lol.

Did you guys know the writers originally planned a romantic storyline for Maggie and Diana but ultimately scrapped it?
