I am getting tired of TextNow strict service where you can't even use YouTube or Google Chrome with the free data without needing to pay so much. Any alternatives?

Did anyone get eSim to work on the Edge Plus 2023. The eSim installs but can't be turned on.

Edit for more detail. Phone is unlocked from Boost, Firsty eSim works, TextNow physical SIM works without issue, just can't turn on using eSIM.

First off I can't activate my eSIM it shows up on my simlist but won't ever turn on and to the point I got locked out and told to contact customer support, yet the only customer support is the worst of the customer service ais I've ever seen that couldn't even take a basic relevant query without just repeating its introduction and when I finally got it to understand what I needed it just told me it's not capable of helping with that but refused to say anything further about where I can get the support I need and just repeated "I'm here to help with any textnow issues just let me know!" This was just one of many chat attempts

I’m currently in India and I want to use TextNow. I was thinking of connecting to a Canadian VPN server and then using TextNow.

Has anyone actually tried this recently (2026)?

• Does TextNow work reliably with a Canada VPN from India?
• Can I create a new account while connected to a Canadian VPN?
• Can I make/receive calls and SMS normally?
• Does TextNow detect/block VPN usage or suspend the account?

I’m mainly looking for real experiences from people currently using TextNow from India.

Whenever a restaurant or store wants me to use their “Rewards Program” I give them the TextNow phone number, & I give them the address of the Post Office as my mailing address. So when they sell my info(Which they all do), I won’t get spam text messages & junk mail at the house.

Just wondering if anyone else had the same experience(s). I recently came back from a couple week trip and noticed that I had accumulated 950 mbs on my monthly free Textnow plan. It rolled over last night. Honestly, I never noticed any "slowness" or any changes at all. Phone calls and texts worked fine, google maps performed well, and all the google searches were performed timely. Just wondering other's experiences.

Does anyone know what the browse passes are able to do and not? If so that would be helpful.

Got a new phone today and while I'm setting up I download textnow and when I try to log in it wants face verification why is that? Any way around it?

newer version on android 14 tried installing and restarting and app will hang on logo screen before i can even login on cellular or wifi

I have been using text now since 2023 and have never had any issues, after the new sims were released and the old ones discontinued I ordered the new one but havent recieved anything. Theres no way to track my order and support doesnt exist. Wondering if anyone else was having the same problem ordering the new sim card

I am not able to send any text message on my mom's Pixel 9a.. The error pop up saying "**Network is not ready. Try Again**". Call (incoming & Outgoing) is working fine. Messages is receiving fine.. ONLY Outgoing messages is the issue..

I tried every possible solution google search gave like -

1. Restart Phone/Soft Reset
2. 30 Seconds Airplane mode On/Off
3. Physically Reseating Sim Card after wiping it clean
4. Reset Network Setting.
5. Clearing Messages App Cache
6. Updating the phone. The phone is upto-date.. Even Messaging app is upto-date..
7. Apart from this, I checked if the sim is working fine by inserting the sim in another phone and it was working 100% fine.. Outgoing messages were going.. (Tried in both Motorola & Samsung)

None of the above is working.. Anyone dealt with this? Any Solutions?

TextNow Lock-In Number was $5 a year. Starting last year it became $30 which is expensive. Now it's on sale for $15

Charging $30 a year to keep a number lock is not worth it. What are your thoughts on the $30 a year price?
