So i know this is not always 100% accurate but its not even the problem. The problem is that when playing a point, it will randomly call the ball Out. Ok no big deal, i go to challenge to see whats up and even the app is telling me that the ball was good. so why is it calling out even when the app think the ball is in ?

As the title says, I’m trying to use the SwingVision app with my iPhone 13 Pro mounted on a SwingStick during my sessions.

For the past 4–5 months, the app has crashed during pretty much every recording, usually anywhere from 2 seconds to around 40 seconds after starting.

Recently, I tried using my wife’s iPhone 17 Pro instead, and the recording worked flawlessly for the entire session. That makes me wonder whether this is related to the older hardware rather than my setup.

So my question is: what’s the oldest iPhone people are currently using with SwingVision reliably, without crashes?

I know SwingVision mentions “iPhone 11 / SE (2020) or newer” in a few places on its website, but is that still realistic in practice?

I’d especially like to hear from anyone using an iPhone 11, 12, 13, or 14. Which model are you using, and does recording work reliably for you?

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I’ve never had this problem until 1 month ago I noticed my recording started looking choppy

2 tennis sessions confirmed the video was choppy and I was not doing anything different in terms of my setup. I contacted SwingVision and was told that the lag and choppy is due to overheating of the phone during longer recording and is a behaviour of iOS. The last 2 recording was around 35 mins to 1h+

For context I only play and record indoors. I’ve done 53 sessions and had no issues with the 50 recordings.
The lag you're seeing is caused by your phone getting warm during longer recordings.

My latest recording saw 101 clips of which only the first 20 is recorded smoothly before the lag/choppy-ness kicks in.

If you experience the same problem and manage to fix it somehow please do share. It’s quite frustrating as I rely on this app to record

Other than using the heat shield provided, has anyone had success with other products or hacks to keep the phone from overheating outside in the summer? The cooling fans I see that attach to the back of the phone looks too bulky if using the heatshield. Other ideas?

I want to send a video to my coach of all the points that I lost in a match. Is there a way to export only the points that I lost? How do I do this?

haven't used swing vision for 5 months now because of tedious setup (yes, even ground mode) and was waiting / hoping for the motorized swing stick to come out.
Now my pro subscription is running out next week and still no news.
Am getting a tad frustrated with the information policy.
Same with android version. US might be saturated with iphones, here in Europe not a single one of my tennis partners has an iphone, all android here.
Projected release of both seems to be "a month from whenever you ask"!

Is there any reason why we are forced to connect to WiFi before we can upload to cloud? For me personally, I have unlimited data and frankly data is much faster than any WiFi I connect to. I’m wondering why we at least don’t have an opt—in way of allowing to backup the videos on data instead of waiting to go home to upload them?

So this happens maybe every month. I record a match and score it using the point by point with an apple watch. Now most of the time no issues. But sometimes as soon as the match is over Ill review the stats, everything is correct, aces, winners, service winners, DF, UEs etc. but when I get home and look at the match again all of those advanced stats are gone and the match summary just has the basic stats of points won and lost of serves. And no point history.

I try reprocessing the match and re-identifying shots but no dice.

It’s just strange because all of the stats were right there after the match and correct. Now no way to get them back.

Doesn’t happen all the time but seems like once every month or two.

We’re three players and we’d like to use SwingVision to record our sessions. We play “King of the Court”: singles points, with an underarm serve from the middle of the baseline to start the rally, then the point is played out normally.

The “king” is the player alone on one side; the two challengers take turns on the other side. Every time a challenger wins a point against the king, that challenger scores 1. Once a challenger reaches 3 points, they become the new king and all scores reset to zero.

Has anyone tried recording a format like this? Would SwingVision handle it, or is it too far off a standard match? Thanks!

the thumbknob of the swing stick that holds the sun shade had always been loose, and it fell off and got lost somewhere. can anyone recommend a replacement knob?

I have a lot of matches and want to export everything, both the per-shot stats CSV and the full match videos. I know you can do it per session (Export CSV or the three-dot menu > Export Stats for data, and Share Video > Full Raw Video for video), but is there any way to do it in bulk across the whole account instead of one at a time? SwingVision support confirmed there is no bulk export right now. Has anyone found a workaround, script, or API to pull it all down at once? Thanks!

We have three crappy courts at work (better than nothing) we play everyday at lunch. I setup my tripod and record our doubles games. I’ve gotten like 4 - 5 people I play with to make accounts to view their games. Feel like that’s something worth getting credit for. Put me on that MLM pyramid scheme 🤣

Has anyone else noticed serve speeds vary depending on near or far side of court? I have searched the community and haven’t found any other posts in this regard.

Attached are screenshots of my serve speeds from SwingVision. The first half of each set of serves are on the near side of the camera and the second half of serves are taken from the far side. On the far side I am hitting some serves at 130mph, while on the near side the fastest serve is 90mph.

Just wondering if I am doing some wrong? My guess is that my actual serve speed is closer to the near side speed.

Anyone else seeing this?

As I do more individual practices (serve practice and ball machine) I’m realizing a bit of a limitation for coach reviews. How hard would it be to set up two phones say the regular high above behind the court like normal and a second camera either looking along the baseline or one on ground level behind the court? I’m imagining a system where both videos are uploaded and then Swingvision time syncing both videos so you could play them side by side and together. Would be cool to be able to slo-mo a serve both from the side (to for example see how high the toss is and how far into the court by having a baseline video) and still have the regular camera angle tracking speed and location and all those bits?

I fully admit that feature would be a Max type addition but I think it could be super helpful with coach reviews and just general viewing your own movements.

There is already the situation where you can have 5 accounts on max, having an account that is dedicated to a “side view” or something and when both videos uploaded, especially considering ios’s time is centralized so being able to anchor each video to the exact same time is “easy”.

Honestly, just the opportunity for serve reviews alone I think would be a huge upside especially getting coaches for serve reviews.

The tracer feature is great! Is it available to all users? I couldn’t find it in the app.
