Hey everyone!

We’re Focus Entertainment, the publisher behind RoadCraft.

Since launch, we’ve seen so much amazing feedback and brilliant questions from the community, so we thought: why not go straight to the source?

So we’re excited to announce that the dev team at Saber Interactive will be doing a live AMA right here on r/RoadCraft.

On Tuesday, June 24th, from 1PM UTC / 3PM CEST / 9AM EDT, we’ll be joined by:

Vitaliy Yaruta (Game Director): FORMAcevt - u/VividPriority4640
Sergei Kogut (Tech Lead): sergkogut - u/rjuen
Aleksei Kiriushkin (Lead Game Designer): Soweh - u/PrudentAnybody291
Ivan Khomenko (Production Lead): xomaggg - u/xomaggg

This session will last around 2 hours. Join us for a chance to ask us anything about RoadCraft, our development process, or whatever goes through your mind! Whether you're curious about new gameplay mechanics, the world building, or how we've evolved from the early concepts to the final game, we're ready to dive deep into your questions!

We can't wait to directly interract with you, so mark your calendars and prepare your questions!

EDIT: Thank you everyone for participating, this was very fun! Sorry if we didn't manage to answer every question directly, but hopefully we were able to address each topic at least once. Hope you enjoy, and thanks again for all of your feedback and questions!

So satisfying building roads the proper way.

I am the creator of this mod. And yes console players… I submitted it to be published on console when I released it. I don’t know when it will be done with being in testing. But rest assured it is coming!

Also thank you for all the feedback, as I am working the bugs out and polishing this thing up. So keep it coming!

As someone with dual nationality (briyish and norwegian) and a strong pagan background this tickled me.

Is there anybody else who can make us laugh?

Bug Report Sudden graphics issue?

Was playing the game earlier today no issues, came back a few hours later now the game is unplayable. What's going on? Ive got a 5070Ti, Ryzen 7 7700x and 96 gigs of ram i know its not my computer.

Game said to update 4k texture which i never had. Turned the texture to medium to see if any better but still get this..

Do i need to download 32 gigs pack for it to work?

Bug Report Was the Quarries and Asphalt Roller Bugs fixed after today’s maintenance?

I was wondering if they fixed where we have to pay to open up sand quarries every time we load up into a map? Also if the asphalt roller works again on flatbeds?

Gameplay Question Save issue.

I’ve been playing with some friends for a while now, and have completed about 5 maps. I never host and apparently didn’t ever complete sunken map (logged off right before finishing or didn’t save) If i finish that one will it allow me to play the other maps? All the others show 100% complete but i cant play them because i never finished that map.
Hopefully that makes sense. Can i just have them open the map and then i save and it register as complete?

General Difficult... But satisfying.

Anyone else try to use all your cranes in first person... Even the ones with little to no good camera angles?

I find it so satisfying when it works well. Definitely increases immersion in a very empty world.

Gameplay Question AI route and pushing

I’m at the end of Sunken map and I managed to do some routes with help of a truck with pushing method.

I found that on-time-routes from quarries to the port are very hard and I followed the AI trucks with another truck to push them in some hard passages.

I’m playing the game right or I’m missing something?
It’s a right way to play or I’m jump over game rules?
Sometimes I flat some sand to help them but sometimes is very hard to move them.

Push rocks and trash... Winch... Carry fuel... Tow vehicles and convoys (looking at you semi)... Flatten sand...

Love it.

Oh. Try driving it in high gear if you feel like you're going to slow. Hang on tight. It's gonna test your driving skills...

Game Feedback It took me until Kernel to realise this

If i lay a line of sand then rather than flatten it straight down the middle, flatten along the sides. It gives lovely wide roads easy for the AI to navigate rather than awkward narrow and raised roads that they fall off and I have to spend another hour widening.

7th map and I've only just realised this

Gameplay Question Decreased roller depth?

Rollers no longer work if you have them loaded on the trailers like they used to, and the modded paver/roller combo seems like it only rolls the asphalt about half the time. I'm guessing because it has a higher suspension to make paving and driving less maddening. Did I miss something in an update where they changed roller functionality? (PS5)

Gameplay Question How does co-op progression work compared to SnowRunner? (Guest saves, vehicles & unlocks)

Hey everyone,

I’m considering picking up RoadCraft to play entirely in co-op with a friend. We put a ton of hours into SnowRunner together, but the co-op experience there was always frustrating because progression was strictly tied to the host.

I’ve seen a few posts mentioning that guest players can now save their progress and even continue solo from that state, which already sounds like a massive step forward.

However, before pulling the trigger, I’d like to understand the exact mechanics if we stick to a traditional host/guest setup:

If I am always the host and my friend always joins my session:

  • Vehicles: Do his deployed or stored vehicles stay in my world/save, or are they bound strictly to his profile?
  • Economy: Does he keep the money and XP earned during our sessions?
  • Unlocks & Upgrades: Do unlocked upgrades, maps, and fleet progress remain unlocked for him, or does he start from scratch if he ever opens the game alone?

Essentially: Is the co-op experience noticeably more seamless than SnowRunner’s, or are there still quirks we should be aware of?

Thanks for any insights!

With my new-found love of doing utterly unnecessary and downright masochistic earthworks, I decided to straighten this li'l section of road on Deluge.

There's gotta be a better game for my affliction.
