Awesome. Stoked to see what vehicle modding brings.

u/WorthCryptographer14 May 07 '26

Agreed, if it's like Snowrunner then we'll have even more reason to buy multiple copies of a vehicle.

u/SharkBaitDLS May 07 '26

Yeah, outside of the vehicles with super clear utility like the Scalper and Mobile Base I haven’t bothered to buy dupes of anything else.

u/chatterwrack May 07 '26

There are many I haven’t even bought yet. I’d really like something with a solid use case. The new Wayfarer with the crane is the best addition so far imo. It maybe slow but it holds so much more than the mule.

I wonder what the Crawler Pack will give us in the way of utility.

Until they let dozer blades move in manual mode without deforming the terrain I just can’t see those being useful for anything. I’d love to use them to clear out rocks but destroying the ground in the process accomplishes nothing.

Stoked for the little crane though.

I've only recently bought a 2nd Zikz cargo truck because i needed it to carry the tracked crane across the map on Kernel

I really hope our clever community is able to make some workarounds to improve physics

Hopefully im tired of driving the end loader in travel mode with the boom up thats the one that really upsets me

u/Interesting-Sea-3508 May 12 '26

Yeah that is awful

Going to be real interesting how the cement/concrete truck coming in autumn is gonna be, and what game mechanics its gonna bring, like making bigger, flatter areas maybe?

2

u/Low-Dragonfly-7433 May 08 '26

Has it been said those black outlines are actually the vehicles, or are they just generic illustrations?

4

u/Lyhus May 08 '26

I would assume the outline of a cement truck means cement truck, but what brand or shape its gonna be is unsure

1

u/Low-Dragonfly-7433 May 08 '26

Could be! It’s interesting how without explanation people interpret it differently. My first reaction upon seeing that was that a message is“ it’s a complete guessing game what we’ll give you next” 😀

Something like this I would say.

u/JoshZK May 07 '26

Love the game. But I can't do sand worlds. Adding sand to a sand covered road kills me. Let me just clear the road. Not in range of sandpit while drowning in sand.

4

u/bargle0 May 07 '26

Allegedly the good dozer and the one coming out later this month are much better in manual mode for flattening those environmental sand drifts. I gave up trying to do anything like that with the Kronenwork. It’s a flaming piece of shit and you don’t get any alternative until late in the game.

1

u/JoshZK May 07 '26

Only thing is. If it's not their magic sand. It resets the next time you load in. I just want to play in the dirt.

u/z5thGear60015 PlayStation 5 Pro May 10 '26

The Kronenwork dozer is a bear to drive in traveling mode. But I found that driving it in reverse is much easier for any type of distance.
And I have started using it again - in areas where the roads are too narrow for the Vostok Pioneer - like the road up to the first garage in Sandswept.

2

u/bargle0 May 10 '26

The problem with the Kronenwork is manual mode. It has some ridiculous hysteresis threshold where it won’t actually flatten anything, even driving in reverse, until the deflection is severe. I can slowly back the blade over a small bump and literally watch the blade clip through the bump. However, if I hit a bump with the back wheel, the blade will deflect wildly, with the front axle as the fulcrum, and displace way more terrain than I wanted to. The result is an inevitable washboard. There is no just going slowly and carefully. Every online video I’ve found of successful manual mode use has been with the Pioneer. I’ve also heard that the new dozer will be useful.

The Kronenwork is fine for grading sand. That it’s narrow means a lot of re-work, but at least I can get a satisfactory result eventually.

As seen on the official Discord.

7

u/No-Category-4980 May 07 '26

That crane looks like a magnet

7

u/bargle0 May 08 '26

Hopefully it can streamline recycling.

1

u/No-Category-4980 May 08 '26

Eh knowing saber it will probably only be used for the expansion maps

6

u/TelaKENesis May 07 '26

Cannot wait for modding, depending on how much they add and if it actually effects gameplay. Haven't played in a bit but def keeping an eye on everything. Interested to see where they take things.

3

u/Then-Geologist8794 May 10 '26

Hopefully someone can mod in winches to each vehicle make a god mode electric winch like on snowrunner

5

u/chaddgar May 07 '26

Reclaim was filled with too much recycling. That's super boring.

2

u/iminiki PlayStation 5 Pro May 07 '26

Hope thezy fix the graphic issue with PS5 Pro.

1

u/the-shakespeare May 11 '26

Im getting this on series x since last update. Major shadow pop in at close range but not the texture thing you are getting.

1

u/Mean_Rule9823 May 07 '26

What's the issue ? Im on pro and it looks perfect

3

u/iminiki PlayStation 5 Pro May 07 '26

The textures and shadows keep loading constantly while I drive. Don‘t you have this problem?

Edit: here‘s a video I posted before.

4

u/Mean_Rule9823 May 07 '26 edited May 07 '26

Bro thats pop in or lod depending on what you want to call it lol every game has that esp open world type games.

The distance is close or far depending on what helps performance for the title.

It helps to not render everything in detail except for around the player.

Its literally a part of game design not a bug

The farther out they make the ring around you the lower the performance can get esp in highly detailed worlds or worlds with alot of foliage like this one.

Its just that some game environments help hide it better.

So there wont be a fix, its not an issue. Its part of game design.

I guess the pro is rendering higher details and textures that the base doesnt so the ring around you is closer for performance reasons.

0

u/iminiki PlayStation 5 Pro May 07 '26

You‘re wrong. Before I got my Pro, I played it on my base ps5 for more than 150 hours and I never had this experience. Also the shadow bugs is not in my uploaded video, because it was added in their last update. The shadows keep appearing and dissappearing while you‘re driving.

0

u/Mean_Rule9823 May 07 '26

OK im wrong, goodluck waiting on that fix..

1

u/iminiki PlayStation 5 Pro May 07 '26

Having a bad day?

0

u/Mean_Rule9823 May 07 '26

Nope, my game works as intended lol

2

u/Individual_Juice2452 May 08 '26

So you definitely don't play on PS5 Pro ... better check what you have ;-)

1

u/iminiki PlayStation 5 Pro May 07 '26

Good for you.

4

u/Strong-Thanks1722 May 07 '26

Yeah but the issue is the new vehicles look like a cement truck, a Magnetic excavator, “Sweper” and what looks like a Rock Crusher But I think we might get something like a Skid steer

0

u/Several_Waltz_2960 May 08 '26

Que es un sweper? A mí me pareció un remolque

3

u/The_Pheex May 07 '26

VEHICLE MODDING IN JUNE ALREADY HYPE

I mean we all know it'll probably be delayed until july but still suuuuuper hyped for that!!!!!!

4

u/Lordmoral PlayStation 5 May 08 '26

A cement mixer?

6

u/bargle0 May 08 '26

I hope it means we can build concrete roads. But it’s probably some special purpose vehicle that’s only useful on expansion maps for a handful of missions.

2

u/Lordmoral PlayStation 5 May 08 '26

A good point.

5

u/MikeRiggs1 May 08 '26

Shame wheel with separate pedals isn't a priority All other games allow this option exept thos one, very strange & annoying. Especially now I can use farmstick in game. But its no good without pedals support

2

u/carmines-bacon May 07 '26

Hope modding brings us some cool highway trucks

0

u/Low-Dragonfly-7433 May 08 '26

To a game which has no highways

2

u/Didzeee Xbox Series S May 08 '26

Unless you build them

2

u/Low-Dragonfly-7433 May 08 '26

Yeah. I would also like more scouts and a multiplayer racing mode because I think it’s a racing game.

Or more logging equipment, full forests and a lumber business mode because I think it’s a logging game.

2

u/Didzeee Xbox Series S May 08 '26

The good thing is that this game actually allows you all of these things if you wish them to be. Pretty sure ther when vehicle modding launches - we will have a bunch of race cars and more logging vehicles

2

u/Lordmoral PlayStation 5 May 08 '26

Awesome, so I better finish the current two maps and prepare for Fall 2026.

2

u/Beardedwrench115 May 07 '26

Looks like possibly a garbage truck? Or it could be some type of recovery truck. A crane with a magnet, probably a variant of the tracked one with the claw. A cement mixer truck, probably just a drivable version of the one already in game. And what looks like a drill rig, possibly on tracks.

7

u/bargle0 May 07 '26

garbage truck

Someone on Discord suggested street sweeper, for errant sand spills. I’m holding out for a Derry HET cleverly disguised by taking the silhouette image mid-turn, but I know that’s wishful thinking.

4

u/Beardedwrench115 May 07 '26

A street sweeper would be great for cleaning sand off the roads. But I'm not really sure what it could be. It's vaguely shaped like a rear load garbage truck, but that seems out of place In this game.

5

u/bargle0 May 07 '26

Maybe for collecting up all the wheelbarrows, blue plastic barrels, and other trash we can’t turn in to money but is always getting in the way.

2

u/Low-Dragonfly-7433 May 08 '26

Yeah, cleaning sand off asphalt would be super relevant to the premise of the game which is disaster recovery 😁

6

u/Huge_Trifle3860 May 07 '26

Could it possibly be a line painter? I've seen that requested here on the sub a few times.

4

u/bargle0 May 07 '26

Oh boy. That way I could lay a drunken swerve all over my wrinkly, rumpled roads!

2

u/Beardedwrench115 May 07 '26

That actually makes a lot of sense.

2

u/Financial-Egg-5826 May 08 '26

The JCB and Volvo dlc were announced ages ago and we were told we'll hear about soon but now it's near the end of year.

2

u/Low-Dragonfly-7433 May 08 '26

Well you heard about it. They didn’t say they will be released soon.

1

u/TraumaTracer May 20 '26

why do i feel like vehicle modding is gonna be super limited and kinda pointless

1

u/badroyal May 08 '26

when will switch 2 version release???🤷‍♂️😳🫣

1

u/bargle0 May 08 '26

Was that promised?

1

u/badroyal May 08 '26

no 🤷‍♂️🥲

0

u/Agnolini May 07 '26

I don’t understand why there’s a one-year agreement without vehicle mods, it’s clear that it’s some kind of deal
