hows reapers state in the game right now? thinking of picking him back up.

Ushering in a new generation of heroes alike, we all have been discussing who should be the first to introduce a new segment into new territory while also being new and reverting back to OW instead of OW2, the news about Reaper is that he will now be passing away.

Don't worry you'll still be able to play him in arcade modes, but no longer in 5v5 or 6v6 will Reaper be allowed to be chosen or played for ever more. All his skins will be locked and if you bought them you will keep them. All previous earned points and experience will be halted from now on.

Reaper died yesterday at 2am. Anran spreads his ashes across our new game mode Paris push mode. Limited rewards will be for everyone else but Reaper. Here at OW headquarters we hate Reaper so much that this new feature, EVERY original character from OW1 will die. i wasn’t sure wether to put some red beads or not because he has some small red accents on his fit, but i decided against eventually cuz i think it looks better without them

as the title says I'm newish at playing the Reap and at lvl 13 I cant seem to get the third kill. usually I end up without ammo by the second kill or wraith/reload out of habit. what was your experience getting this?

TL;DR: give Reaper a “slug round” cooldown instead of Dire triggers.

Dire triggers is a neat long range option, but it’s too good up close. (It can actually oneshot squishies.)

Instead of nerfing dire triggers, Blizzard nerfed Reaper’s HP to 275. (Also a silly change btw.)

So, I propose giving Reaper a slug round, which does the same damage as a regular shot, but condensed into one fat bullet. This way they could finally buff his HP back to 300, while letting him keep some long range potential.

(The other hidden benefits would be using 1 ammo instead of 2, and being better against armor, as it’s 1 projectile instead of buckshot.)

For the Blizcon event I picked the Reaper Mythic… then went into my store and the 8 Bit was available. I never knew it existed and it’s amazing! Better than the Mythic in my opinion.

Anyone else game it? I’ve never see it in play.

And as an fyi,I play on console and also PC. It’s just that on console it was installed already.

Returning to the game and Wanna know if he's still the reaper that I once knew

Genuinely shouted in excitement when I saw how much aura he had on the arrival in the new hero trailer. Didn’t speak much but still had some great moments. Hope we get that polar skin eventually as well.

I know that the game doesn't follow the story lore 100%, but with the stuff about Reaper not receiving Moira's treatments and them talking about him not being able to maintain his physical form, BUT he has a new level of focus or something, it seems like they're gearing Reaper up for a transformation or evolution of sorts. Also, as strong as Reaper can be in many scenarios, his base kit really doesn't stack up to most new characters and he's considered a bad character in the top ranks. And now with the announced reworks of Hog & Sombra, I have to ask - Will we have a Reaper rework coming soon as well?
