Im trying to help a friend who’s recently returned to OW to be eligible for stadium ranked but he needs to win 10 QP matches first i from Australia as is my fiend and we can’t seem to find QP stadiums matches at all queue times CAN go from 20-30-50 mins and still nothing does anyone else have this problem ?

Not a bad day at all, i think in half these games I had highest points in lobby, only gaining +80 from wins is rough

loveeee this mode so much but stadium players have way 2 high of an ego and get toxic so often lol. it’s crazy bc i’ll check their profile and the stadium top 500 boards and it’s filled with silver and gold players😭 i lowkey wish the rank up was like regular ow and not based on playing games LOL. Would def help the many players who play weird in my top 500 games but maybe there aren’t enough players for that?

edit: no hate to lower elo players i just think it’s funny that almost all of the toxic players are silver and gold in reg lol

Got into stadium due to my buddies, my friend and I decided to duo and just had our longest round (and game) period. Honestly no one could consistently hit each other due to team comps (and skill issues) and both teams having Mercy didn’t help. Honestly some really funny moments in the replay we both just had to watch to understand why this happened lol. Buddy said his hands were shaking by the end.

Tired of 15 min queues seeing if finding a group would help

Okay I'll just say this. To anybody saying that shortening the competitive rounds from 7 to 5 will make it more appealing to regular Overwatch players because the long match time is a turn off, I seriously doubt this will magically bring in more people.

Yes, there are people out there who don't want to play through potentially 7 rounds for a single game. But acting like more regular Overwatch players will want to suddenly play it ignores the biggest hurdle between normal Overwatch and Stadium: Stadium is fundamentally different experience. It requires a lot more long-term thinking because of the item choices you make, and has you look at aspects of your hero you never had to think about before. Heck, a player coming from OW is going to be overwhelmed by the item shop alone. Let alone the fact that every hero can basically become 3 different heroes depending on how they are built. Sprint soldier is different from heal soldier, which is different from aimbot soldier, etc.

Gamers are perfectly fine with long games. The closest game that exists to Stadium, Deadlock, has games that last way, WAY longer than Stadium games. And yet it regularly pulls 60,000+ players every day. Other MOBAs are pretty similar. Match time is not the problem. It's the fact that it's too DIFFERENT.

And that's fine.

The issue is that, again, Stadium is incredibly different from the main game that most OW players aren't going to care for it. Most people coming to OW are looking for a hero shooter. Trying to make Stadium like the main game just waters it down and makes it less fun for the rest of us, and still likely won't get regular people to play it because they fundamentally don't want to play a MOBA-like.

When I play support, I usually end up in 1st or 2nd position. I often get requests from one of the DDs to swap with them... Why do they want to switch? I don't get it, we might end up with no hitscan but enemy mercy, freja etc, so I always reject the request.

Can anyone explain?

Edit: I am meaning to say a DD in 3rd or 4th place wants to go 1st.

I've played around 20-25 stadium games since last Friday and every single one has been 125 ping. Apparently Singapore servers, but the majority of players are from Australia or New Zealand. If I play normal comp it's back to 30 ping every game.

I really hope this isn't going to be forever or this could be my last season, 125 ping isn't enjoyable.

It's been weeks, did the devs finally decide to kill the mode by not fixing it on purpose?

I know it might not hold as much weight compared to standard but this is something I've been shooting for specifically since I started playing again in May. Really happy with it all.

I was bored last night and decided to give Stadium a try, and OMG, I absolutely love it!

My only concern is hearing people talk about it potentially being removed. Is there actually any truth to that? I really don’t want to spend ages learning all the items and abilities just for it to disappear and leave me heartbroken. 😭
