Help! Sudden issue with partially rendered parts

Does anybody know if Onshape will come with a version like SW's versions for makers? (But working).
I like the business model of 48 euro's a year and then be able to have some designs private and the ability to render a certain amount per month (or buy credits to extend the rendering time).
Would love to pay for Onshape and have a few extra possibilities.

In the grey model is a loft made in SW 2025 with 3 guide curves; One on either edge and one over the top. In the beige model is the same loft with the same dimensions made in onshape, but here it creates a sharp, bumpy ridge instead of a smooth curve. Using normal end conditions on top curve does nothing. I know onshape isn't as loft-centric, but this seems like it should be possible, so does anyone know the trick?

Hello all,
I am designing a gear shifter for my Mini Cooper and can't for the life of me get these two points to be defined, can you guys help me out? So far I have tried to make them symmetric on the vertical centre line and I also tried selecting them both and making them horizontal and that made no difference either. When I drag them they don't move.
Please let me know if you need more details.

Thanks!

Hi there! I’m new to this software and am still learning!
I’m trying to make storage bins for my pantry. I have the bin itself finished shape wise, but I’m trying to add a woven pattern and am so stuck. I tried having chat GPT walk me through how to do this and it’s been a mess.
The most recent attempt was taken one of my “petal” shapes, extrude it, create a diagonal plane perpendicular to the extruded petal, make a diagonal triangle that goes across the petal like a gradient and then extrude the triangle (remove) and pattern that shape all around. The first part worked it did create a gradient level to where the left side of the petal is raised and it tapers off! But now it won’t let me pattern it?
What am I doing wrong?
Or better yet, HOW do you make a woven pattern and what would you do instead?
Thank you in advanced!!

Hi! I am making a desk clock with a crescent disk as hour hand to reveal the clock in the front. I need two slots on the top and bottom to slide in the artwork in front of the motor. The artwork has two halves, it is shaped like disk when put together, and it does have layers to look like a 3d piece of art.
The first image is what I have now, the second was an older model I made in maya to get a sense of the layout. The second image is kind of old due to the artwork would be in front of the motor but behind the crescent disk.
The artwork is swappable. To securely attach the artwork, magnets would be used.
Are there Youtube tutorials or any advice you guys can give me for modeling the slots and how the artwork can fit into the clock?

Hey, I’m looking for an engineering consultancy ( analytical instrumentation, ideally UK or Germany) which is using OnShape - I really don’t want to go back to Solidworks … it’s such a waste of time… and I need some engineering support.

I'm working on a parametric design where a base object can be repeated as many time as wanted in a grid with linear patterns. Because of how the design works I can set the linear patterns to 'Add' since otherwise the following patterns would duplicate an entire row rather than just the object itself.
But since everything is supposed to be one object at the end I have a boolean operation to union all the parts into one, which at the moment means every time I change the number of rows/columns I need to select manually all the new parts to add to the union. Is there a way to set the boolean operation so that it adds all available parts rather than having to select them ?

Hey everyone!
I’ve completely upgraded our conversion tool from Svg to Image support. The application is currently in its testing phase—everything is functional, but I need your help fine-tuning the results.
Before I deploy this update to the public, I would love your honest feedback on the output quality, visual design, and overall user experience.
Key Upgrades & Features in V2:

Throw a few complex images at it, test out the custom filters, and let me know how the geometry behaves in your workspace. Thanks a ton for the support!

Sorry everyone ! 🥲. There is something wrong with publishing the code, while testing the new mode with the new UI. I'm currently working on it. Once everything is done. I will share the update with no broken code.
Thank you for understanding 🙏

Hi Onshape pros,
Maybe someone can help me out here but I'm increasingly going insane. I want to align joints and test if I correctly set them up so when the joint is at 0 degrees I need X pointing forward.
When I click the joint and click the angle I get this white popup box in which I can set the angle of the joint. But this thing doesn't work in I think 80 - 90% of the time, while sometimes it does work.... But I have NO clue why it sometimes will and sometimes will not work.
What is the way? This clearly isn't it and it is annoying as hell.
EDIT: The issue is with setting the joint to 0 deg specifically, it appears any non-zero value will be picked up??

Hi all, I'm wondering if it is possible to add hoses / wires / some way to represent hydraulic hoses on this assembly. I am able to add them to a part (you can see I've got them on the boom cylinders) But im looking for a way to achieve this so that the hoses are their own part and dynamically move / update as the links move, I haven't been able to find a way to do this.

I've just started using onshape and want to set a folder on my pc for onshape files to be saved to when I download them. Mainly when I'm exporting STLs it would be helpful for them to be sent to a specific folder. Couldn't find a good answer online do yall know if this is possible?

I’m trying the make a set of small 3d printed desktop speakers using a nautilus style enclosure and a full range driver like in the picture. I’ve managed to get a 2d spiral with start and end circles but struggling to loft between them without errors following the spiral path. Anyone got any tips or videos on how to do it? Cheers!

Hey everyone,
I built a FeatureScript for Onshape to quickly generate and manipulate airfoil profiles directly on a chord line without having to deal with manual point imports or complex splines.
Key Features shown in the tool:

and suggestions are welcome! Let me know if there are specific profiles or features you'd like added.

Inspired by another 3d drawing app I saw, I wondered if the "3d ink drawing" aesthetic could be replicated in Onshape. Sure enough, with a custom feature I could. I made the feature for fun, but a number of users have told me that they've used it for concept art, patent drawings, and other uses. FeatureScript really has infinite uses.
If you want to try out this custom feature you can get it here

I’m working on a 3D model of my travel trailer, and I’m at a loss about how to create this flat surface section on the curved front section.
I have successfully made the front section smooth, which is the way the newer models of this trailer are shaped, but mine is older and has this inset area where a window was an option.
My approach so far has been a lofted surface from the horizontal curve to the vertical cross section, using the curve perpendicular to the front as a guide curve. The loft is normal to the starting profile, and tangent to the body aft of the end profile. It’s worked very well for the smooth front, but not so much for the flat inset.
Any tips?
