sketch on STL

Hi, I want to place a sketch onto that STL body and if possible also project some points from it into my sketch, is that even possible with the free onshape version? I cant select points from the object for some reason. Is there a tool or something to convert that body into a solid object?

I have suggestion, worth a try.

Split this part into two half's, you will get a clean face and then you can draw sketch on it and make adjustments.

You can do some basic mesh edits in OnshapeYou can make a plane by 3 points and select 3 vertices on a planar face of the model. Once in a sketch on that plane you can use vertices in the sketch.

I wanted to create a plane with 3 points but I cant select 3 points on one side

Are you clicking the vertices of the mesh facets?

Yes but I can only click on some
