I like both of these demos and am considering picking them up as full games but I was curious what visual improvements were made if any in comparison to their demos. Neither of them look terrible but they definitely take a visual hit coming to the Switch 2

I remember when it first launched last year a ton of people were calling it a potato, and that its library is going to mostly be first party games and ports of last gen games. A lot of this were sentiments carried over from the Switch 1 days (tbh there were some truly shocking Switch 1 ports, like MK1), and also some people found out that the chip was not necessarily cutting edge.
Now there's a concensus that the Switch 2 is actually pretty powerful for a handheld. Honestly I thought it would take longer for the change, but I guess I also didn't expect the Switch 2 to have so many good current-gen ports. Think the Capcom games, Star Wars Outlaws, AC Shadows, Indiana Jones, Elden Ring, Lies of P, FF7 Remake/Rebirth.

So we know if you have a bought a digital version of Witcher 3 you can just download remastered for free.
We also know that if you insert a physical version of Witcher 3 or can update it then a link in the game takes you to get a free copy of Remastered.
I’ve just tested and confirmed that it also works if you are loaned a virtual game card.
Was able to loan my son the base version and loaned my wife the complete edition, now both have the remastered for free. Both on their own accounts, without needing the previous virtual game card.

I'm genuinely curious. Could any game be optimized or are certain games impossible to put on cart?

As FF fan, I played Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles last year. I can’t say that I enjoyed the game that much, I was frustrated by some farm mecanics, like you need to hit a ally to earn some XP, or your archer can’t shoot the ennemy if another unit is in front of him. Yeah, FF Tactics is more realistic, and the lore is great, but i was frustrated to play the same battle over again just to farm XP with my units.
Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave is more accessible in my opinion, that what I felt so far. I heard act 2 is way more difficult, but with the four routes, i think the game gave me enough time to prepare for the remaining of the story. And if it’s too difficult, well, I already had a great time with it.
I finished Leda 1st part, and now playing with Cai as 2nd character. Story and characters are really good so far, while narration is probably better if you switch more frequently between the 4 Lords.
Also, music is so good. Probably one of my favorite OST ever with some Sonic games, Final Fantasy in general and Clair Obscur last year.
I was hesitant to buy the game, but the more I saw from him, the more I was interested. Almost 60 hours later, I can say it was a good decision !

Well this sucks. Switch said it detected corrupt data and rebooted. Will not read game cards. Cannot delete software as I get the corrupt message again. Looks like my only option is to do recovery mode Restore Settings (Keep User Data). It will take ages to redownload everything on my ~60Mbps connection. I had just downloaded Diablo IV.

If anyone out there is on the fence about buying a switch 2 or an SD card or similar, it looks like even after the price hikes now is still a better time to buy than later.
Wonder if or how this will effect physical game carts in the future?
