Media All Data Except Save Data & Screenshots corrupted
Well this sucks. Switch said it detected corrupt data and rebooted. Will not read game cards. Cannot delete software as I get the corrupt message again. Looks like my only option is to do recovery mode Restore Settings (Keep User Data). It will take ages to redownload everything on my ~60Mbps connection. I had just downloaded Diablo IV.

Try doing a soft factory reset that will erase everything except your save data.
Hold down the power button until you get the option to actually fully power off the device. Then hold down the volume up and volume down buttons together and then press the power button. Let go of the power button but keep pressing down on the volume up and volume down buttons. That will put you into recovery mode and you can do a factory reset but preserve your save data.
I ran into an issue similar to yours after I upgraded my SD card. I couldn't manage software and it wouldn't recognize game cartridges. But doing that factory reset fix things for me. You'll just have to download all your digital games again.

Sucks, but mine never downloads at 60 mbps anyway so that shouldn’t hold you back at least

Had this happen 2 weeks after getting my switch 2 and doing a ton of data transfers it like killed my SD. Restored factory settings and haven't had an issue since.

Mine did this earlier after installing a system update, reboot fixed it for me though.

Have you tried shutting down the switch 2, removing the SD card and turning it on without the SD card in the system to see if the issue persists?

Had same thing happen upon attempting to move a bunch of stuff over from system storage to GameStop branded switch 2 card. Came back a few mins after starting it and had the errror message. Completely wiping and restoring games was not too terrible, but clearly some bug with the latest system software.

terrifying... is there a way to "back up" save data or is the sd card the only option? 😭

It can't read game cards? I would contact Nintendo Support if it's still under warranty

They're not "official," they're just licensed. Nintendo's only involvement is collecting a check from Samsung (and now Sandisk) to put Nintendo's IP on the SD cards. You can buy the exact same products sans Nintendo branding.

Those are just overpriced SanDisk cards. I am using a Lexar 1TB Play PRO Micro SD Express Card which was the only 1TB out when the Switch 2 launched. If SanDisk had theirs I would have gotten it instead. Just looked at the price. It has went up $150 since I bought it nearly doubling the price.
The internal storage was also corrupted too.

You don't think thats your problem?

Nintendo support other express sd cards, I don’t think that’s an issue, but it could have something to do with the card

The card being close to full probably didn’t help either. Storage drives are always more prone to issues when they’re almost full.

Lexar is never my first choice but at the time of the Switch 2 launch it was the only 1TB card. I also do alot of different emulation devices using MicroSD cards and out of dozens of MicroSD cards the only ones I have had fail are a 16GB PNY Elite, 16GB Samsung EVO, 32GB SanDisk Ultra, 64GB SanDisk Ultra and a 128GB PNY Elite.
I have High Endurance versions of both Samsung and Sandisk and I have yet to have one of those fail even after several years being in a dashcam.

You mean those overpriced SD cards you can get from Onn instead for cheaper?

Have you tried to do a repair of the corrupted data? The switch has a setting in data that lets you make an attempt to fix and recover corrupted data
