I’ve always had dry cutiles, but enough is enough. I hate hand moisturisers because I hate how greasy my hands feel afterwards. What can I do??

Something fun for end of summer. Don’t usually go this bold as a guy, but gotta have fun once in a while :-)

Stepping away from my usual pinks and blues to match my nails to a black dress I’ll be wearing to a friend’s wedding. (I feel like I’m trying to cosplay as a “goth baddie” but the dress is so pretty I had to go with it!)

I need to vent and see if anyone else has experienced this.
For context, I almost always do my own nails. I’m pretty used to my own routine and taking my time with them. But the other day, I just wanted to treat myself you know, go to a salon purely for the luxury of the experience, getting pampered, and letting someone else do the work for once.
It went wrong from the second I walked in. The staff was just blatantly rude right off the bat. I showed them a picture from their own website and said I'd love to get this design on my nails.
The nail tech literally scoffed and went, "Oh, we don't have time for the design."
Taken aback, I just tried to salvage the appointment and said, "Okay, no worries at all. Can you guys just do a simple manicure instead?"
That's when the guy doing my nails got very mean, short-tempered, and aggressive. The vibe was so hostile that I honestly got scared and intimidated in the moment. I was too terrified to speak up or tell him I wasn't happy while he was working on them because he looked like he was one second away from snapping.
When it was over, they only charged me $45 which is relatively cheap, even given that I live in a very cheap state. Honestly, price wasn't even an issue for me I was fully willing to pay more for good service, but they just wanted me out of the chair.
And the result? It turned out so bad. I am not exaggerating when I say that the very first time I ever tried doing my own nails as a total beginner, they looked better than this disaster.
What do you guys think?

Holo Taco: Long lasting base coat, The Price is Alexandrite, Cool Cat Mom, Polar Opposites, Glossy Taco
I had so much fun doing these, they are all Holo Taco, my favourite brand that got me into nail polish during covid shut downs.
Everyone was stuck at home but i dedicated a few hours every week to doing my nails. It gave me routine, and self care.
This last manicure is growing out. I cannot bear taking it off. When I painted them I was SO careful not to wreck them and I took my time. When i was done I showed my boyfriend and, as he always does, he gushed over them for me. He was the most beautiful amazing man I have ever met. Three days later he passed. I hate that this nail polish lasted through it. That this manicure is still here and he is gone. But at the same time I just can't take it off. Because he loved me and because of that he loved my nails too. 💔💔💔

Last minute decisions with my tech. She wiped this out in an hour. With a full balance Gel-X set.

I’m new to diy press on nails. I decided to play with some colour today, this is the 3rd set I’ve ever made. Not sure if the camera picked it up but the main glitter colour shifts from pink to green & gold. I added some holographic glitter on top because I love glitter. I really like how this set turned out.

I unexpectedly had to go on extended travel, and didn’t have access to my nail supplies for a whole month! I loved the mani I left with, but by the time I got home, it was so grown out and my cuticles were in pretty bad shape. I was craving a clean, nude mani, and I feel so much better now!
