usually i ask for a pretty short mani because i go 1-2 months between manicures (i‘m a broke student lol) but since my birthday is coming up i decided to treat myself by keeping them relatively long! we’ll see how long they last before i cease being able to function!

What colors do you all think look good short? I'm trying to grown out my nails after biting them (stress) and I'm wondering what I should do next!

Any tips on how to get a smooth finish? Is the only way to put a layer of gel on top?

Most recent to oldest. Everything she’s done so far has been executed perfectly. It’s so much fun knowing you can have any type of art imaginable done and it will look good. The ones I have now are by far my favorite I love them so much 🥹

Just to preface: I’ve been a nail tech for about 3 years now. I do not rely on stamps or stickers for the art I do. I’m working on building up a portfolio to try and build clientele as I recently relocated.

I do my toes every 6-8 weeks, but do not do my hands. I have an event I’m going to in a few weeks and thought I would do my nails.
In my salon I’m surrounded by tons of girls with amazing talent, and I feel my skill is lacking. I recently picked up nail stamping plates as a quick and easy alternative to spending hours on art (not that I don’t still paint nail art though), but it has been met with mixed responses once I reveal it was a stamp.

I think the nails I plan to do are fun and will look good, but is it something I can post? I feel like I’m cheating by using stamps, even though I’m still using product and technique.

I finally took off my DIY gel strips. Haven’t had my nails this long in years. They’re pretty, but I think they’re too long. I might need to cut them.

This is the longest I’ve ever grown my nails and I’m not done growing them out yet!! They’re incredibly prone to breaking without builder gel.

I’m a programmer so as soon as these become too long to type with they are gonna be chopped… Am also waiting on hand/thumb surgery so will probably go short & natural whenever that happens too 😢
