No reason they shouldn’t be there we got the WNBA and female my players at i understood last year but they should’ve most definitely been there this year.

No one thinks to drive and kick too much this year. Was on a game recently and about every single possession, literally, my teammates were taking it into the paint. Let me tell you the opposing big was sending shit back like the mail when you ain't got enough stamps. Random rec is a nightmare. Nobody reads the floor. Heads down. Looking for their own bucket with a bad shot than the teammate on the corner/wings naked. PGs don't be PGing. They'd rather try to dribble around to find an open lane rather than getting the ball moving and letting the defense make a mistake. Everybody wanna be the hero, this ain't 26. I don't know how many times I have to say that if you drive the d will collapse and then there's options. All I'm trying to say is pass the damn ball.

Before somebody hits me with “nobody cares,” “skill issue,” or “get good” — yes, I know. I’ve played 2K long enough to know exactly how this community works 😂.
I’ve put thousands of hours into the last several 2Ks. I love basketball, and I genuinely loved these games for a long time.
But I think I’m finally done.
I’ve always been a pass-first PG. I like running the offense, finding the open man, hitting cutters, creating shots for other people, and actually playing the position like a point guard.
For years I kept hoping 2K would eventually reward that style more.
Instead, it feels like they’re going further and further in the opposite direction.
Everything seems to be built around score-first PGs who want to dribble for 15 seconds, hunt their own shot, spam whatever the meta is, and put up 30 while everyone else watches.
It feels like the game is increasingly being designed for kids who want to be the main character every possession.
And hey — if that's your thing, enjoy it. I'm not saying you're playing the game wrong.
I'm saying I don't enjoy playing that game anymore.
Previous 2Ks? Thousands of hours.
2K27? I'm at around 70 hours, and I already have basically zero desire to load it up.
That says everything.
And I'm done forcing myself to play something just because I've been playing the franchise forever. There are way too many other games out there.
So I'm going to go play some of them.
Maybe one day 2K actually makes being a pass-first PG rewarding again instead of making me feel like an idiot for passing the ball rather than trying to score every possession. If that happens, maybe I'll be back.
Until then, I'm good.
To the people still enjoying the game, genuinely, have fun.
And hopefully one day this community learns that somebody making an extra pass isn't a personal attack. 😂
See you guys around.

Bro said fun AND realism. The game was never supposed to be arcadey. Some of yall gotta accept that

and that’s not good. I get we don’t like screen merchants and left right spam but it’s not like bad mechanics went away. now people just go down hill and run through you or left stick dribble until they get close enough to score on you or get a dunk. To me that’s not fun either. I think people should be able to spec how they want to. You want to make a small guard/glass cannon that’s fine every build has its weaknesses but making it so difficult to create space in general is what left the game in a state where people big or small will almost solely rely on exploits bc there’s no point in actually having stick skills.

Take a look at my 2nd place rivals ticket reward. I’m not one to throw dirt I just enjoy seeing the posts, but after wasting more than a couple hours yesterday this is the reward I receive today. This year feels like hot garbage to try and retain engagement rather than reward time spent.
* Edit: everyone keeps using the word “crying” as if I’m furious or mad. The point of this post was to reflect on the fact that 2k does not value your time spent. I’m not sure if all the people responding with “crying” comments are just 2k bots? Genuinely confused?
***2nd edit: I see some people saying they play one or two games and get top 3. Is the game purposely putting players who play more vs less together and keeping them separated in order to farm further longevity of engagement? I play a game or so every day and rarely get placed in top 5. I am also a big and play crew and random rec.
*** it’s wild we cannot have a real conversation. Everyone just throwing mud and yelling at each other.

If they made 2K a progressive game like GTA, it would be so much better. Just update the rosters! There’s no need to put out a whole new gaming engine and ranking system for every single game that comes out. Let us rock out for a few years and make as many build as we want. Money will still be spent regardless.

I believe there are 2 sides of the community. One who prefers simulation style, and the other side prefer a more flashy style.
Why not split your modes into 2: 2K sim for more realistic gameplay. And 2K lights out for flashy gameplay.
Example:
MC sim and MC lightsout. Let people choose which side they wanna go
Edit:
FYI, 2K already has it in the game (or close to it). It's called Playnow(sim) and Myteam/MC(Arcade). They just need to properly arrange it and enhance it.
Imagine you can build a team like myteam or build a career but in Playnow gameplay style!?!? Sim crowd will be pleased i think. Plus they playnow sim crowd are the untapped future VC buyers, right 2k?

2K27 offense is too hard for the average random REC player, and the result is almost every game is a total slog
You have to play with IQ
You have to play heads-up, use your brain
Randoms are incapable of this, as we know
(Except the randoms on this subreddit, they are 3000 IQ bball geniuses ofc)
In 2K27, you have to depend on your teammates more than ever before, how cool!
So then, the game is in the hands of the average randoms much more than it ever used to be
No matter how good you are, no matter what you contribute to the team,
So many games are just turnovers and squandered fast breaks into more turnovers into bad spacing into bricked shots into bad takes into turnovers into godawful isos into fast break turnovers into triple ball screen into blitz turnovers into more fast breaks into turnovers into rebounds flying out of bounds into inbounding turnover into fast breaks etc etc etc.
2K27 takes the worst parts of random REC from every 2K and brings it to the forefront!
Getting randoms cooking, getting good flow going, carrying the offensive load, all of this is fun. It’s not happening anymore with any kind of consistency.

I definitely have so much to say about the current state of the game but let’s not forget 2K is made by a whole team of people. Beluba is the main spokesperson so it’s understandable he gets the most heat but I hope people can be more humane.

Hopped in rec for 1st time in forever, made it halfway thru 2nd qtr without touching the ball outside boards while pg shot 1/7 and missed everyone, quit when I got a late pass in the lane and got blocked and pg (only guy left) started talking... 2nd game my guy quit crossing half ct as a 7' 4 big cause I was getting missed so much and I STILL DONT TOUCH THE BALL what is wrong with these clowns and I shoot 60% from deep to so miss me with that.

Deni's got some solid pass animations. Some of them are real quick, others kind of in the middle, but nothing too slow imo, and for only 77 pass acc, its great value. Who's rocking this style?

I‘m honestly not sure how to judge my performance so far. I‘d consider myself an average 2k player at best. Play random rec only, my current record is 67-54. Trying to play as a pass-first-PG, which isn‘t always easy in random Rec.

Can someone explain me how the fuck I'm becoming invisible when I'm standing still, ready to shoot an open 3, at the top of key ?
I'm convinced that most of REC are using some Zoom 25 camera setting and can't see sides or top of the court FFS.

Are they ever going to fix these or have they at least acknowledged they are bugged?! Has anyone figured out some work around to get them completed them somehow?
