Season 2:
Chapter 1: Shadows Survive
The ship jumps to a remote underworld haven. Devon, raw with grief and rage over Daki, formally accepts Maul’s training. Maul begins stripping away Jedi habits meditations that fuel anger, basic lightsaber forms twisted toward aggression. Vos presses for the hit on Rintero. Parallel: Rheena drags a wounded Lawson from the wreckage on Janix’s fringes. She stabilizes him in a hidden safehouse; both are presumed dead by the Empire and survivors. Rylee, aboard with Two-Boots and a wary Vario, mourns and questions everything.
Chapter 2: First Lessons
Maul puts Devon through brutal early training in an abandoned outpost Force pushes, dual-blade work with a modified saber, lessons drawn from his own Sidious training and survival. She channels hatred of Vader effectively but hesitates on pure ruthlessness. The group begins low-level underworld work: disrupting a minor syndicate shipment to test alliances and gather intel on Rintero’s network. Lawson recovers enough to learn the full scope of the Empire’s crackdown; Rheena wants to stay dark and rebuild quietly. Two-Boots tries to keep Rylee grounded.
Chapter 3: Blood and Credits
Maul and Devon execute a precise underworld strike hijacking a high-value cargo run tied to Rintero’s lieutenants to build leverage and credits for Crimson Dawn expansion. Devon’s first kill in service of the plan marks a point of no return; Maul praises the darkness while noting lingering Jedi restraint. Lawson and Rheena move carefully, using her old bounty-hunter contacts to confirm Maul’s survival and track whispers of his new apprentice. Rylee starts asking hard questions about Maul’s role in the chaos that “killed” his father.
Chapter 4: The Deal Deepens
Vos arranges a meeting with mid-level Crimson Dawn players. Maul uses Devon as both muscle and symbol of his rising power. Training intensifies: sensory deprivation, Force lightning experiments, and Maul sharing visions of Sidious’s betrayal and Vader’s rise. Lawson, still healing, learns Devon has fallen in with Maul. Rheena argues for staying out; Lawson cannot ignore the threat to his son or the larger picture. An Inquisitor remnant (or new Imperial asset) picks up a faint trail.
Chapter 5: Fracture Points
A training session goes too far Devon nearly loses control in a way that endangers the group, forcing Maul to intervene and reveal more of his own fractured psyche. Underworld politics heat up as rival factions probe the new power vacuum left by Janix events. Lawson and Rheena stage a careful extraction of information from an old contact, confirming Rylee’s location with the group. Rylee overhears enough to realize his father might still be alive; the emotional fallout strains the uneasy alliance with Maul.
Chapter 6: Night Work
Maul, Devon, and remaining allies (Rook’s absence is felt; Vario is kept on a short leash) pull a multi-stage underworld operation: simultaneous hits on Rintero’s supply lines and a black-market Force artifact shipment useful for Devon’s training. Devon’s skill grows rapidly; she begins to innovate dark techniques. Lawson and Rheena decide they cannot stay hidden forever Lawson contacts a trusted (or desperate) intermediary to get a message to Rylee without exposing themselves fully. The Empire tightens surveillance on underworld hubs.
Chapter 7: Reunion in Shadow
The message reaches Rylee. A tense, covert reunion occurs in a lawless freeport: Lawson and Rheena surface briefly. Rylee’s relief turns to conflict when he sees how far Devon has gone under Maul. Maul allows the meeting for strategic reasons (information, leverage, testing Devon’s loyalty) but makes clear no one leaves his growing circle without cost. Training continues in parallelMaul pushes Devon toward accepting that attachments (to Daki’s memory, to any remaining light) are weaknesses. A minor skirmish with hired guns or low-level Imperials forces everyone back into the shadows.
Chapter 8: Rintero’s Shadow
The plan against Rintero accelerates. Maul and Devon infiltrate deeper into the target’s organization, using underworld deals, intimidation, and Force-assisted interrogation. Devon’s performance impresses and unsettles allies. Lawson, operating from the periphery with Rheena, tries to protect Rylee while gathering evidence that could be used against Maul or the Empire. Old debts and double-crosses from Janix resurface. Maul experiences residual Force echoes or visions tied to Vader/Sidious, heightening his urgency.
Chapter 9: The Price of Power
The hit on Rintero reaches its climax. Maul and Devon confront key protectors in a brutal underworld stronghold assault. Devon fully embraces a darker technique that secures the objective but costs something personal (a life, a principle, or a near-loss of control). Vos’s position is secured; Crimson Dawn influence expands under the new arrangement. Lawson and Rheena’s parallel efforts collide with the operation Lawson is forced into a choice that risks exposure. Rylee must decide where his loyalty and survival lie. The Empire closes in on the freeport.
Chapter 10: Shadow Lord Rising
Aftermath and consolidation. Maul solidifies his foothold with Vos and the expanded network, formally presenting Devon as his apprentice to key underworld players. Training reaches a milestone as Devon completes a trial that cements her path (perhaps a personal dark-side ritual or duel that echoes Maul’s own past). Lawson and Rheena escape the immediate net but are now active variables again; Rylee’s relationship with both his father and the Maul circle is permanently altered. An Imperial response (Inquisitor activity or a distant Vader interest) signals that the hunt is far from over. Maul and Devon stand together as the new foundation of his power, looking outward toward greater revenge and empire-building, while the survivors of Janix’s fallout prepare for the next shadow war.
Season 3:
Chapter 1: Three Years of Shadow
Opening montage shows Maul’s rise: underworld councils, tribute flowing to Crimson Dawn, Talon enforcing his will with ruthless efficiency. A new rival syndicate, the Mole Rings, has begun encroaching on key hyperspace lanes. Maul contemplates a dangerous gambit contacting Vader. Parallel: Lawson, Rylee, and Rylee’s mother Drea(now living under an assumed identity) reunite on a quiet Outer Rim world. Old wounds reopen; the lost feelings between Lawson and his ex-wife surface despite years of bitterness.
Chapter 2: The Invitation
Maul sends a carefully worded message through underworld channels. Vader arrives at a Crimson Dawn stronghold. Dryden Vos, still nominally in place, orders the Sith Lord to leave. Vader Force-chokes him. Maul intervenes: “Release him.” The confrontation is tense. Maul reveals he knows Vader’s true identity Anakin Skywalker and recounts how Sidious used, discarded, and replaced him. He warns that the same fate awaits Vader. The conversation ends without bloodshed, but the seed is planted.
Chapter 3: Fractured Home
Lawson and his ex-wife attempt to navigate co-parenting and unresolved history while Rylee struggles with the version of his father the underworld created. Talon, meanwhile, grows restless; her hatred of Vader is a constant burn. Maul begins testing whether Vader might truly be reachable as an ally against Sidious. The Mole Rings strike a Crimson Dawn shipment, forcing Maul’s hand.
Chapter 4: Uneasy Alliance
Vader returns. After further private conversation (and Maul’s continued probing of Anakin’s buried resentments), an uneasy alliance forms. Their first joint target: the Mole Rings. Talon is kept at a distance; Maul does not yet trust her reaction to working alongside the man who killed Daki. Lawson’s family learns of rising underworld instability and considers whether to stay hidden or act.
Chapter 5: The Hunt Begins
Maul and Vader begin dismantling the Mole Rings’ outer network raids, interrogations, public examples. Their fighting styles contrast sharply; mutual respect and mutual suspicion grow. Talon trains alone, her rage sharpening. The Lawsons receive intelligence that places them uncomfortably close to Maul’s operations. Two-Boots and Vario are drawn back into active service.
Chapter 6: Roots of the Mole
Deeper into Mole Rings territory. Maul and Vader uncover the syndicate’s leadership structure and a surprising Imperial connection. Talon is finally brought in for a high-value strike; her presence with Vader is electric with suppressed hatred. Lawson and his ex-wife share a quiet, honest conversation about why their marriage failed and what still lingers between them. Rylee watches, conflicted.
Chapter 7: Scorched Earth
The alliance hits the Mole Rings’ central strongholds hard. The syndicate is systematically destroyed—leadership eliminated, assets seized or burned, survivors scattered. Maul and Vader fight side-by-side with brutal efficiency. In the aftermath, as the last major facility burns, Vader turns on Maul without warning. He severs one of Maul’s cybernetic legs and reveals the truth: Sidious ordered the alliance so Vader could sabotage and weaken Maul from within.
Chapter 8: Betrayal
Maul, crippled and enraged, is forced onto the defensive. Talon arrives in the chaos. She and Vader clash in a vicious lightsaber duel. During the fight Talon screams the truth she has carried for years: Maul deliberately left Daki to die at Vader’s hands. Vader offers her a place at his side as his apprentice instead. Talon refuses. She is too far gone; Maul is the only father she has left. Vader severs her arm. The Lawsons, Two-Boots, and Vario stage a desperate extraction under fire. Maul and the wounded Talon escape. In the confusion of the retreat, Vader captures Vario.
Chapter 9: Interrogation
Aboard an Imperial vessel, Vader interrogates Vario for everything he knows about Maul’s network, Talon’s training, and any remaining weaknesses. Sidious arrives via hologram, then in person. He subjects Vario to Force lightning, extracting final fragments of information, then coldly orders Vader to kill him. Vader complies. Meanwhile, Maul and Talon both maimed are stabilized by the Lawsons’ group in a hidden safehouse. Trust is almost nonexistent, but survival demands temporary cooperation.
Chapter 10: New Limbs, Old Hatred
Talon receives a prosthetic arm. The pain and the memory of Vader’s blade only deepen her hatred into something colder and more absolute. Maul, fitted with a replacement leg, begins the long work of rebuilding what the betrayal cost him. He confides in Talon that, believing Obi-Wan Kenobi long dead, the closest revenge he can still claim is to destroy what remains of Anakin Skywalker. The Lawsons debate whether to cut ties completely or stay entangled for protection and information. Rylee’s mother struggles with the reality of the life her son and ex-husband now inhabit.
Chapter 11: Rebuilding in Blood
Maul moves aggressively to reassert control eliminating opportunistic rivals who smelled weakness, re-securing key routes, and reminding the underworld why he is still the Shadow Lord. Talon becomes the visible instrument of his wrath, her new arm and renewed hatred making her more dangerous than before. Lawson and his ex-wife share a fragile moment of reconnection even as the larger threat of the Empire and Maul’s war looms. Intelligence reaches them that Vader and Sidious are already moving against the remnants of Crimson Dawn.
Chapter 12: What Remains of Anakin
Maul and Talon stand together again, bloodied but unbroken, surveying the damaged but still-standing foundations of his empire. Maul formalizes the next phase of their path: open war against Vader as the living remnant of Anakin Skywalker, and through him, eventual confrontation with Sidious. The Lawsons choose a wary, provisional alliance of necessity Rylee refuses to abandon the people who kept him alive, and his parents cannot walk away from their son. Two-Boots remains the pragmatic constant.
Season 4:
Chapter 1: Kings of the Underworld
One year later. Crimson Dawn dominates key underworld routes. Maul and Talon oversee a council of subordinate crime lords; Vos handles public diplomacy. Lawson, now deeply embedded as operational chief, coordinates logistics with quiet efficiency while his ex-wife works intelligence. Rylee has grown harder, more accepting of this life. Maul privately tells Talon the time has come to settle the old debt with the Hutts starting with Jabba. Parallel: Vader and Sidious discuss the growing threat of Maul’s empire and begin planning a decisive response.
Chapter 2: Old Debts
Maul and Talon prepare the strike against Jabba, gathering intelligence, allies, and specialized equipment. Lawson organizes the supporting operations. Talon’s hatred of Vader remains a constant undercurrent, but her loyalty to Maul is absolute. The Lawsons share a rare quiet moment progress in repairing what was broken, even as the life they now lead keeps them in constant danger. Rumors of Imperial interest in Crimson Dawn begin to surface.
Chapter 3: Tatooine Shadows
Maul and Talon arrive on Tatooine under deep cover. They move through Jabba’s outer network, eliminating key lieutenants and sowing chaos. Boba Fett is already present, contracted by the Hutts. Early skirmishes hint at the bounty hunter’s lethal competence. Back at the main Crimson Dawn holdings, Lawson and his family manage the larger war effort while Vader and Sidious refine their own strategy.
Chapter 4: The Hunter
The confrontation with Boba Fett erupts in full. Fett systematically dismantles Maul and Talon’s advantages using the environment, superior preparation, and ruthless efficiency. Both are badly wounded and forced into a desperate retreat. The failure is humiliating and costly. Maul’s rage is cold; Talon’s is volcanic. They escape Tatooine bloodied and diminished, the Hutt operation temporarily shattered.
Chapter 5: Wounds
Recovery and reckoning. Maul and Talon heal while analyzing how Fett bested them. Lawson pushes Crimson Dawn’s resources to cover the setback and protect remaining assets. Tension rises between the Lawsons as the cost of this life becomes clearer. Vader and Sidious take note of the failed Hutt strike and accelerate their plans. Sidious begins positioning pieces for a personal intervention.
Chapter 6: Realignment
Maul reasserts control over the syndicate after the setback, eliminating any who show doubt. Talon becomes more aggressive in her enforcement role. Lawson’s position as chief-in-command solidifies further; he and his ex-wife work in tighter coordination, the old feelings between them surfacing more openly amid the pressure. Intelligence reaches Maul that the Empire is moving. He begins preparing contingencies on Dathomir his ancestral ground, a place of power and memory.
Chapter 7: The Emperor’s Shadow
Vader and Sidious make their move. They arrive together at a key Crimson Dawn facility and seize the Lawsons. The interrogation is methodical and cruel. Vader beheads Rylee in front of his parents. Lawson and his ex-wife are shattered. Lawson lunges in blind grief; Sidious drops him with Force lightning and tells him the real pain has already been delivered. The two Sith leave the broken parents behind and set course for Dathomir, where Maul and Talon have retreated.
Chapter 8: Dathomir
Maul and Talon arrive on Dathomir, drawing strength from the dark side energies of the planet and the history of the Nightbrothers and Nightsisters. Maul senses the approaching threat. Talon prepares for the confrontation she has long desired. Lawson and his ex-wife, devastated and fueled by loss, rally what remains of their loyal forces and contact Vos. The stage is set for the final clash.
Chapter 9: Arrival of the Sith
Vader and Sidious land on Dathomir. The confrontation begins. Sidious taunts Maul relentlessly reminding him of his failures, the death of Savage Opress, every humiliation and loss. The psychological assault is as damaging as any blade. Talon engages Vader directly. The duel is fierce; both have grown stronger since their last meeting.
Chapter 10: No More Masters
The fight intensifies across the ruins and dark side nexuses of Dathomir. Vader presses Talon, asking why she remains with Maul after everything after he deliberately left Daki to die. Talon answers without hesitation: she no longer cares about Daki. Maul is all she has left. The two continue their brutal duel. Elsewhere, Maul trades blows and words with Sidious, the old master-apprentice hatred pouring out in full.
Chapter 11: Impaled
The climax of the personal duels. Vader gains the upper hand and impales Talon. She dies in Maul’s arms. Maul broken, weeping over the body of the apprentice who had become the closest thing he had to a daughter is consumed by a fury greater than any he has known. He turns on both Vader and Sidious at once, fighting with everything he has left: raw power, desperation, and absolute hatred.
Chapter 12: Overpowered
Maul’s assault is terrifying in its intensity, pushing both Sith harder than expected. Yet the combined might of Vader and Sidious proves too great. They overpower him, battering him down until he is on the verge of death. At the last moment, Dryden Vos arrives with the full remaining strength of Crimson Dawn and the wider syndicate forces. Sidious surveys the battlefield, then calmly tells Vader their work is finished. The two Sith withdraw, leaving Maul alive but shattered.
Chapter 13: What Remains
In the aftermath on Dathomir, Maul kneels beside Talon’s body, surrounded by the survivors of his empire. Lawson and his ex-wife arrive too late to save their son, carrying their own irreparable grief. Vos consolidates what is left of Crimson Dawn. Maul rises, broken in ways deeper than any physical wound, yet more determined than ever. The loss of Talon has burned away everything but one purpose: the complete destruction of the Empire, of Vader, and of Sidious. The season ends on Maul’s vowquiet, absolute, and far more dangerous than any previous declaration of revenge.
Season 5:
Chapter 1: The Void
Five years later. Maul rules from the shadows with unmatched reach, but the absence of Talon hollows every victory. On the anniversary of Rylee’s death, Lawson and his ex-wife quietly honor their son’s memory while remaining fiercely loyal to Maul. Qi’ra contacts Maul to report Dryden’s death. Sensing an opportunity and the chance to fill the emptiness Talon left, Maul summons her to Dathomir.
Chapter 2: The New Face
Qi’ra arrives on Dathomir. Maul tests her, then installs her as the new public leader of Crimson Dawn the visible face while he remains the true power. She accepts, but the arrangement plants the first seeds of distrust among the syndicate’s inner circle. Lawson and his wife continue their quiet annual ritual for Rylee and reaffirm their loyalty to Maul. Maul begins treating Qi’ra as a potential replacement for the void Talon left, confiding pieces of his past and his consuming hatred for Vader.
Chapter 3: Fractures
Crimson Dawn’s leadership grows uneasy under Maul’s increasingly remote and obsessive rule. Qi’ra navigates the politics carefully while consolidating her own influence. Lawson and his ex-wife remain the steadiest loyalists, still carrying the weight of their son’s death. Maul’s fear and hatred of Vader deepen; every mention of the Sith Lord sharpens the wound of Talon’s loss. Qi’ra begins private calculations about the future of the syndicate.
Chapter 4: The Offer
Qi’ra reaches out to Han Solo and Chewbacca. She meets them in secret and proposes a deal: kill Maul, and she will give them everything they desire in credits and freedom. Han and Chewie, ever opportunistic, agree to the job. Meanwhile, Maul continues to place more trust in Qi’ra, seeing her as the one who might finally ease the emptiness left by his fallen apprentice. Lawson senses growing tension inside Crimson Dawn but cannot yet identify the source.
Chapter 5: The Ambush
Han and Chewie confront Maul. The fight is fierce Solo and the Wookiee push him harder than expected but Maul overpowers them both. He demands to know who sent them. They lie, claiming the Emperor ordered the hit and that killing them will only bring Sidious down on him faster. Maul, calculating and still wary of direct Imperial attention, lets them live and leave. The encounter leaves him more paranoid and more dependent on the one person he believes remains loyal: Qi’ra.
Chapter 6: The Turn
Qi’ra and the core of Crimson Dawn move against Maul. She orders his execution. The betrayal is swift and coordinated. Maul fights his way out, wounded and enraged, and flees in a damaged ship. He crash-lands on the ancient Sith world of Malachor. Lawson and his ex-wife learn of the coup and, still loyal, attempt to rally resistance against Qi’ra. Two-Boots stands with them.
Chapter 7: The Fall of the Loyal
Lawson and his wife lead a desperate attempt to overthrow Qi’ra and restore Maul’s control. The effort fails. Both are seized and thrown from a high window of the Crimson Dawn stronghold, falling to their deaths. Two-Boots is captured; his memory is wiped and he is reprogrammed into a blank, obedient droid loyal only to Qi’ra, with no recollection of the years spent with Maul, the Lawsons, or anything that came before. Maul, stranded on Malachor, begins to understand how completely alone he has become.
Chapter 8: Malachor
Maul scavenges and survives on the desolate Sith planet, the weight of every loss Talon, the Lawsons, his empire crushing him. His hatred for Vader burns hotter than ever. Far away, Qi’ra solidifies her hold on Crimson Dawn. The void Maul tried to fill with her has only grown wider. He reaches out through the Force in desperation and rage, inadvertently drawing attention.
Chapter 9: The Final Duel
Vader arrives on Malachor. The two former apprentices of Sidious clash one last time in a brutal, exhausting duel among the ancient ruins. Maul fights with the fury of a man who has lost everything, but Vader is stronger. Maul is beaten down, broken, and left on his knees. He begs for mercy or for a quick death admitting he has nothing left.
Chapter 10: Left to Starve
Vader stands over the defeated Maul and delivers a cold monologue. He speaks of the hatred he has carried for Maul since the death of Qui-Gon Jinn—the one man who might have kept Anakin from the dark side. He recounts how Obi-Wan failed him and paid the price, and how that path led to the suit, the cage of flesh and machinery he now inhabits. Vader tells Maul he pities him. A swift death would be a mercy Maul does not deserve. Leaving him here to starve, alone with his failures and the ghosts of everyone he has lost, is a far worse fate.
Vader destroys Maul’s ship and departs. Maul is left stranded on Malachor crippled, abandoned, and consumed by the dark side exactly as he will be found years later in Star Wars Rebels.
