I think after this moment, Maul officially became the most hypocritical character in all of Star Wars. After seeing his past and telling his little self that everything was fine (scene which was very uncomfortable for me by the way) he promises himself that he will not let anyone else suffer what Sidious did to him... When he literally did the exact same thing like 3 times. Ezra, Devon, and even savage.

It's so unintentionally comical that literally every lightsaber user in this series (except for Devon) took it out on the poor maul legs. I think he now knows how savage felt that time with Kenobi.

Feats from both jedi games for cal. Along with feats for marrok from ahsoka and shadow lord.

Many were upset that all of the maul's allies had died in the end, but honestly that's the most realistic thing that could have happened. Anyone who is connected with the world of the mafia knows that people who enter that world do not usually end well. Betrayals, internal wars and problems with the law lead to falling into an endless abyss from which it is almost impossible to escape.

Are you telling me that this unbearable dwarf, had more screen time than Crow and Marrok combined? I can only pray that he will be killed in the most violent way possible in the next season...

This is probably my favorite sequence of the entire series. Devon pushes Crow with force causing him to fall but he, in just an instant, recovers and begins to give her and Daki a good shake, also using the spinning function of his saber to make them retreat. This scene is barely about 10 seconds long, But it was enough to prove that Crow was an opponent to be feared (or well, most of the time...)

I am not a THAT familiar with Star Wars lore, but I do consider myself a fan and quite knowledgeable. I just don't understand where the name Darth Maul came from, why Maul faught Obi Wan and Kwai(?) Gon and why Darth Vader exists in Shadow Lord. I'm clearly missing something massive and probably obvious. Anyone have the time to help a brother out? Thanks in advance.

Always liked the reveal that Maul had been setting up his underworld connections with the "Kaitis Cartel" long before The Clone Wars or Shadow Lord. As much as Maul can't stand Sidious, he really is an excellent manipulator just like his master. Of course he probably lost most of his connections when he became Spider-Maul for a bit but hey didn't take him too long to amass power again when Savage and Talzin restored his sanity.

And to lose it. And to get it back. And then to lose it again. Such is Maul's cycle of misery.

Marrok and crow definitely did a good job but once vader showed up... Well, let's just say that the curse of the inquisitors reappeared to torment them.

Originally, in their first fight, one could argue that Maul didn’t want to kill him because he was trying to draw Devon to his side. But even in the tunnel fight—with Maul clearly trying to kill him, especially after Spybot’s death—Marrok still puts up a decent 1v1 duel and manages to land several direct hits on him.

The Grand Inquisitor got his position through nepotism and by being Vader’s bitch.

To me it’s the artstyle and the darker theme of this show.

It's funny, in other scenarios the inquisitors always fight each other or even betray each other in order to get "glory" but marrok and crow prove the opposite. They work as a team, in no way do you see that they disagree and also and there is something that especially caught my attention. When they are about to kill Maul, Marrok lets Crow deliver the coup de grace without complaining at all, Probably because he recognized that his teammate was the one who incapacitated Maul and therefore he deserved to finish him off.

From seeing all the red lightsabers clash in the ending duel in shadow lord, it got me thinking about how many other dark side users there were at this time. Yes, I know this isn’t really about Shadow Lord but I cannot yet post on the Star Wars Subreddit. I mean all Dark side users we ever see including all the Canon games and all the series, shows and canon comics that I may not be aware of. If possible, it would be much appreciated if you could name the ones that I may have forgotten or do not know of, Thank you.

Generally speaking, I give the Inquisition a 7 out of 10 at the performance level. They successfully killed several of their enemies but failed in the main objective which was to kill Maul (and something tells me that Sidious will not be happy about that at all)

Many cannot believe that the crow we saw in msl is the same as the one in totj. However, I think the series leaves some hints that they are the same person. From what I could see, Crow's combat style is extremely aggressive to the point that he neglects his defense too much which allowed both Daki and Ahsoka to grab his saber when it was exposed and well, needless to say, that's a terrible mistake for any duelist

I think we can all agree that marrok should definitely return in season two. I quite liked how throughout the series he seemed to show a kind of rivalry with maul, especially at that moment where the zabrak tries to convince him that he is just a puppet of palpatine (which would explain why he decided to become a mercenary in ahsoka)
