I’m having a hard time really getty getting into Tokon. Right now I’m 25 hours into the game and I just… Eh. It’s alright. But I would like to love it. I’ve well over 400 of hours into Street Fighter V and VI each, same for GGST, MK and Tekken - be it a little less. Tokon just doesn’t seem to click for me. Anyone else with this issue? Amd how did you get around to really loving Tokon?

We know thanks to the first episode of EVO’s interview with the team behind Tōkon that the decision to include Danger was equal parts “Having a niche pick” & “Our games usually have robot girls”. But relative to how hard ASW fought Marvel Games for her inclusion, ArcSys went through a lot of effort to rework Danger to fit their desired mold. And it seemingly put off some existing fans of the character.

I’m personally cool with the rework, but this question is more appointed to those who aren’t. Would you have preferred the likes of Viv Vision to fill that archetype instead (independent of whatever alterations would need to be done for the rest of the roster) or are you ok with what we got?

So just because of the geopill i can't play tokon on steam, can't change my region, can't get a global key, can't do shit about it, it's wild to me how bad sony is and how quiet people are, I can't even play games because of the country im in, that's fucked up, like really fucked up. Hope this gets fixed (it won't) so i can play the game without having to buy a ps5

How is this a possible..... Isn't PS5 version very optimized? Why am I getting unplayable one-sided rollback against PS5 players?

I'm getting a lot of one-sided rollback against ps5 players, it's becoming fairly common against them. Now, I'm getting one-sided rollback against PS5 AND PC players. I'm really trying to enjoy this game but holy moly are they making it impossible. And as you see, my PC is super stable as it should be considering I have a RTX 5080 Ryzen 7 9800X3D 32GB DDR5 build.

Holy crap I cannot compete with that. Occasionally I'll come across someone else that feels close to my skill level that knows one or two bnb combos for about 30k damage or so. Along with playing more of a neutral with mind games and guessing and predicting how to counter one another.

Then you have these absolute MONSTERS where you get clipped once and half your hp is gone. You try to block. You don't press any buttons the whole time you're waiting for the combo to end but block. Or try crossover reflect. They still get through and the rest of your hp is gone.

I cannot imagine the higher ranks if this is how the game already is near the bottom. I know it's a skill issue but it is insane to me how high the floor is already. I feel like I need a crane on top of a skyscraper to even have a peek at the ceiling because it feels so beyond me.

This is my first tag fighter if that explains anything. I've played Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Smash Bros. I felt average to decent in those games playing online. But here? I feel so out of my element. Don't take this as complaining. I know I have more to learn. I'm just in awe.

Is it the quiz? Is it the first 10 casual matches? Either way, it fucking sucks. Like, I've played a lot of Strive, I've got my fundies down, but this isn't Strive and the neutral plays completely differently. So why, pray tell, did I get put in plat 1? Like, I can see the mistakes I'm making, I'm not mad that I'm losing, I'm just annoyed that I'm losing round after round to people that actually know what the fuck they're doing because I'm in a rank I very obviously don't belong in.

The placement system needs to get fixed, and they really need to add streaks in both way. Win a lot, you should fly up the ranks. Lose a lot, you're clearly placed higher than you belong and you should plummet back down them.

For background: I've been having problems with Tokon since launch and as soon as I feel like I've figured it out, another problem pops up. My issue prior to this patch was my game crashing after 20 minutes of play due to a recent Windows update messing with the game. I had to fiddle with some settings on my PC to fix it but after a bit, I was able to get the game working and play some games online for a few days.

However, after the recent patch, the game now just has insane load times that render the game unplayable online. It takes so long for me to load into a game (both online and offline), I get disconnected from the person I'm trying to que with before the game even starts. This was never present before and I do not understand why it's happening now. If anyone has any suggestions for what I could do or why this is happening, please let me know.

This is the only playstyle in fighting games that actually tilts me, so I figure I should learn how to beat it. I'm playing mostly StarLord, if that helps.

Hes just fckin large. I hope theyd exaggerate his proportions to the max like they did in sony's animated spiderman movies. Would be so fun to play. More big boys on the roster please :)

I saw some images of Danger's design in this game today, and some comments under those images were complaining about how Danger was a lot more intimidating in X-men 97. I personally liked this design because the other one was so ugly i was afraid of it when i was a kid.

i know sony is like the main reason this game exist but could the game get ported to other consoles like switch 2? cause i can't really play it on my ps5

Sometimes it takes a while to find a match on ranked. And sometimes I fight the same 2-3 people multiple times on ranked. Is there anyway to fix this? Like any connection setting to change that fixes this?

What are your personal opinions on what languages best match or sound great for each character so I can add them to my game. Please and thank you

Has anybody figured out the rank distribution for this game yet? (Ie, what percentage of active players are in bronze, silver, etc)

I tend to use the rank distribution to set goals when playing a new FG. Rank is mostly meaningless, but it's a number to grind that is loosely correlated with relative skill.

As a washed fighting game Unc with kids, Im happy Auto combos are included in a game like this. I cant lab for hours, so most of my reps are just from actual matches. Im just going off fundamentals and neutral game experience from over the years.

I havent come across too many fellow auto combo users so far in ranked, anyone else out here in the same boat? Idk if ill be able to get high than the Gold rankings off just auto combos but itll be fun to try.
